FOODED SEAL Has Missing Guitarists Galore

top_pt_01Talk about a double punch to the gut.

It’s bad enough when one member of your band goes missing, but it’s a whole lot worse when two members don’t show up to a live.

And, for FOODED SEAL, this nightmare became a reality last week. One member is in the wind, and the other is in a hospital.

This doesn’t look promising.

Fans will remember our announcement of FOODED SEAL’s introduction last year, and since then the band seemed to be chugging along happily. However, it became obvious that things weren’t so smooth after their live on 3/29 and 3/30, where the band was joined on stage by different members.

According to the band, both support guitarists were not able to attend–one went missing, and the other was in the hospital, unconscious.

Boy, that doesn’t sound very good at all.

On March 29th, Drummer Sayuki updated his blog with the following announcement. It has been translated by our dedicated staff member, AdventureTim.

We regret to bring you this deeply unfortunate news.
When we began our current tour, we asked two support guitarists to come along with us. Of those two, the lead support guitarist was hospitalized yesterday and is currently receiving treatment. We have still not received any explanation as to why, and as he is not yet fully conscious, all we can do is wait until we hear from him again.
As for the rhythm guitarist: a few days ago, he said that he planned to come up by bullet train, but despite waiting until his supposed arrival time, we have still had absolutely no communication from him since the day before yesterday, so we are forced to report that his whereabouts are currently unknown.
Thus, we won’t be a “three-member, two support-member” group as officially publicized, but we still intend to put on our show today at Osaka RUIDO, as well as tomorrow’s at 3star IMAIKE, with just the three of us.
We ourselves are still a little worried, and it’s not fully clear where things will go from here. All we can do for now is say how truly sorry we are to our fans and affiliates that things have gotten to this point.

The three of us are going to come together to deliver the best live we can.

We will make another announcement in the near future regarding what’s next.

No further announcement has been made on whether or not their support guitarists have returned, but when we have more information you can expect to see it here on Shattered-Tranquility.
