Last year, bassist Shiori left Synk;yet in order to properly recover from an ongoing medical issue. It’s been a little while since we’ve heard about Shiori…but it look likes his recovery is going well! In fact, the band recently announced that Shiori will be making a full return this May. In addition, the band has a new release and tour planned out! Check out the video the band posted up:

While these announcements make Synk;yet’s future look bright, the band has an oddly and rather unfortunate timed piece of news…Synk;yet has made a sudden announcement that guitarist Rino’s contract has been terminated and that he will be dismissed from the band. In a blog post, the band cited several “contract violations” as reasons for dismissing the guitarist. At the end of the post, it was mentioned that Synk;yet’s future activities are currently being discussed.

While Synk;yet’s future seems unclear, Shiori’s recovery is certainly something to be happy about! Here’s to hoping that everything will work out okay for the band.
