Wizard loses three members

Wizard has updated their OHP announcing that after their live on August 14th, HIRO, Saki and Haruka will be leaving the band.
The following was written on their site:
Thank you for always supporting Wizard.
We have an annoucement for everyone.
Although this is unexpected news, after our performance at Shibuya O-WEST on August 14th, guitarist HIRO, bassist Saki and drummer Haruka will be leaving the band.
To all of the fans who have supported us thus far, and to everyone connected with the band, we are grateful for everything you have done.
We truly thank you.

On August 14th, activities with these five members will come to an end, however, Wizard will still move forward, so we hope that you will continue to support and encourage us.

The member’s have each posted comments on the OHP regarding the decision. I’ll edit this post (and update the S-T.net twitter) at a later date with translations of those.
The last live with the current line-up will be on August 14th at Shibuya O-WEST. It’s a oneman live titled 「Romanacing Ka・Ma」, and tickets cost 3500 yen.
Along with announcing that the band would be losing three members, they have also announced that they will be closing their official fanclub, 「with」. The fan club will be closed at the end of September 2010 and they will refund payment for anyone who has a membership that extends past October, 2010.

On September 30th, they will also be closing their excite “Artist Mall”.

Wizard will be heading out on a brief oneman tour this May!
The tour is called 「Survivor’s fate」, and the dates and venues are as follows.

Wizard will be releasing a new single on January 13th called 「鳴カレ故バム」 (Nakare Kobamu)!
It’s coming out in two types; a first press edition which contains two tracks plus a DVD, and a regular press edition which has three tracks. Both cost 1890 yen each.

Wizard’s 2010 Calendar

Wizard will be releasing their official 2010 calendar on December 16th!
The calendar will be B4 in size, and contain fourteen pages. Also included is a CD, which contains two songs which the band has not yet published, 「夢想」 (Musou) and 「燐火」 (Rinka).
The cost is 3000 yen.

Wizard’s first full album as a major band

Wizard has announced that on July 22nd they will be releasing their first full album as a major band!
The title of the album is 「Magic of the Seed」 and it’s coming out in two types. The first press edition comes with a DVD that contains the PV for 「R-LAYZER」 for 3500 yen. The regular press is 3000 yen and includes a bonus track.

stylish wave EXTRA ’09

「stylish wave EXTRA ’09」 which is a multiple band event, is taking place on May 3rd at CLUB CITTA in Kawasaki.
The event will be featuring Wizard, lynch., Himeichigo, Serial Number, SCREW, Irokui. and DaizyStripper.
Tickets for the show cost 4000 yen. Tickets for Poke Shock members went on Sale from January 30th – February 12th, otherwise you can reserve via the band’s OHP until February 17th. Those who get Gab magazine can get their tickets on February 21st or 22nd, otherwise they will be available at Like an Edison in Tokyo, or ZEAL LINK in Shibuya from February 27th onwards, or through Lawson and Ticket Pia starting on March 7th.

Wizard will be releasing a new single called 「キミノセカイ」 (Kimi no Sekai) on March 25th! As an interesting tidbit, their major debut single 「Sadistrip」 was originally titled 「キミノセカイ」 (Kimi no Sekai) until they decided to change it.
Anyways, the single is coming out in two types. A first press edition that costs 1890 and comes with the two track single (title track plus a second called 「［Ω］side」) and a DVD with the 「キミノセカイ」 (Kimi no Sekai) DVD.
The regular press is 1260 yen, has three tracks and comes with a CD extra that has an interview:
・キミノセカイ (Kimi no Sekai)
・［Ω］side
・陽炎 (Kagerou)
The band will also be releasing a new DVD on February 18th! The DVD is called 「Film Wizard – BRANDNEW WORLD-～TOUR DIVINE FINAL 2008.3.24日本青年館」 (Nippon Seinenkan) which will cost 5775 yen and feature footage from their lives on March 24th, 2008.
And finally, also on February 18th they’ll be releasing an album called 「Wizard SPEEDDISK BEST」 which will cost 3100 yen and contain 14 tracks plus a DVD.

Wizard’s 2009 Official Calendar is coming out on Decemeber 27th! (Cutting it close to the new year, eh?).
The calendar will be 13 pages in total, and also come with a re-recorded version of their song 「パウダースノウ」 (Power Snow). The cost is set at 2500 yen.

Its that time again, the most awesome time of the day. Its the time that you get to hear from Big Ern. Today’s random fact is all about childhood. When asked about what kind of child he was, Kaito from Wizard said the following.
Ahh, I was the kind of kid who was a prankster. Lifting up skirts, and stuff like that (Laughs). But my parents were really strict! My grandpa was honestly a yakuza boss (Huge laughter). So, because my dad was the eldest song, he was raised to follow in my granddad’s footsteps, and was supposed to be one too. But he didn’t end up being my granddad’s successor after all, however, because he was raised that way, just as you’d expect, he was strict too…
Big Ern was the child with all the little girlfriends. The little girls use to beat one another with their Malibu Barbie for a chance to be my girlfriend.

More on Wizard’s major debut single

Wizard’s major debut single, which is coming out on October 22nd and originally was titled 「キミノセカイ」 (Kimi no Sekai) has changed titles to 「Sadistrip」.
The details are a bit different than originally announced, but it’s been posted now on their OHP so these are the ones to go with! FIrst of all they do mention that this CD will be procued by Chisato and O-JIRO of PENICILLIN.
It’s a four track single containing the songs Sadistrip and Astralshade, plus the instrumental versions of each track.
The first press is 1890 yen and comes with a PV, whereas the regular press is 1260 yen and comes with an interview CD extra.

Wizard’s New release!

In July Wizard will be releasing a new album, and it’s called 「with～インディーズ・ベスト～」 (with～indies・best～). The release date is set for July 23rd and there are two types coming out. Type A, comes with a collection of photos of the band and type B comes with a 30 thirty minute DVD of the band’s history.
Both types are set at 3500 yen, but no tracklist is available quite yet.

I was looking through some older magazines and I found this interview with Wizard. One of the questions was, what animal do you think each of the other members is like and why? So today’s random fact, are the answers for each of those questions.
