Two new members for Virgil

Virgil have announced that two new members have joined their ranks!
The new members, both guitarists, are たかと (Takato) [ex-BLACK LINE] and るた (Luta) [ex-Le Vert].
As Virgil fans probably know, the band is a set of stewards, who each have their own special persona and role in the band that goes beyond just playing their instrument.
Takato’s profile reads the following:
At a mansion in a certain country, the stewards [Virgil members] had overheard a rumor about a steward that could manage household affairs at an outrageously quick speed. So, they scouted him.
It was then that the members of Virgil witnessed an amazing spectacle.
Even though he [Takato] had just sat down at the desk, the notebook that is used for keeping the member’s schedules became filled with characters as if done on its own.
But it was because Takato’s fingers were so fast, that their eyes didn’t even see him write.
Now, he is the fastest steward in Virgil.
“The crimson flash, Takato” is the steward in charge of scheduling.
Everyone will be surprised
at the speed of his fingertips.
As for Luta:
Originally, he began by observing another butler, and at least his talent cooking and being a sommelier bloomed.
And now even tonight, he’s flourishing with his magnificent cookware.
He manipulates the flames.
In reality, while observing another master’s steward, he secretly travelled around, gaining skills at various restaurants.
At last, he earned full mastery in everything from Vichyssoise to tempura.
He, who is the steward that can handle the blue flame with such grace is called,
“Blue lightning Luta”.

Haruki to leave Virgil

It was recently announced that gu. Haruki will depart from Virgil together with Kei, of whose department we wrote here.
Haruki will also leave after tomorrow’s (11. December) live at Ikebukuro Black Hole.

It was announced that, after their 11. December live at Ikebukuro Black Hole, Virgil’s guitarist Kei will leave the band.
This 1 year, I was able to have activities with this band because of the members and staff crew, and, I think, more than anyone-because of everyone who supports Virgil.
I honestly thank you.
Virgil and me came to walk on different roads,
and from now on Virgil will keep on energetic activities, so please welcome the new Virgil too!
Until the 11th December Ikebukuro Black Hole oneman live, as I’m still doing activities as a Virgil member, I’d be really happy to receive only gentle looks from everyone and that 11th December live will be really fun and enjoyable.xxxx

Today I want to talk about jrockers that are kinda geeky.
Being the homeland of anime, Japan’s expected to have a lot of anime fans, but I mean… real geeks.
Apart from well-known Shiina Mio’s open affection to, well, hentai games, my latest favorite geek is definitely Asa from Virgil!

Virgil releasing a new single

On 23.November this year, Virgil will release a new single “Key Heart”. It will include 3 songs, cost 1,500 yen and will be available to purchase through mail or on lives (so it won’t be available in CD stores). There are no further information available, but I will surely let you know when there’s something

As we told you over here, Virgil will release a new single which is called「Last promise」and it will be released in two types. Limited Edition comes with a DVD which contains the [Last Promise] PV and it will cost 1890 Yen, the regular version comes with 3 tracks only and will cost 1575 Yen.

It seems that there are lots of exciting news for all Virgil’s fans!
First of all, they have released a DVD with footage from their 1st anniversary oneman tour. It will be limited to 300 copies only, will contain 3 discs and will be sold for 8000 yen. Nevertheless, it seems that it will be only available through mail-order, more details about it are available on their OHP.
Furthermore, in April they’ll be releasing a new PV single, which will be available in 2 types. If you buy 2 types you’ll get a ticket to their special free live, which will be held in Tokyo in April!
And finally – on May 22nd they will hold their 2nd anniversary oneman called 「２周年記念ですよ、御主人様」.(2 Shuunen Kinen Desuyo, Goshujin-sama) It will take place at Harajuku ASTRO HALL and the tickets are 3000 yen in advance/3500 yen at the door.

Virgil’s re-start

Few months ago we reported that Virgil lost their 4 members, with only their vocalist ロア (Roa) left. Luckily, today he announced in his blog, that Virgil is re-starting their activities with new members, so the band’s line-up looks now as follows:
Vocal: ロア (Roa)
Guitar: 春樹 (Haruki)
Guitar: kei
Bass: 亜沙 (Asa) || ex. Drastic Mind [Support] → 恋 (Ren)→ Rozen-seed→ mercury lamp → LifeFull → Re：volver
Unfortunately there are no pics of the members available so far.
Their first live after restart is going to be a oneman performance. It will be held on December 12th at Ikebukuro BlackHole under the name 『暴れませう、御主人様』 (Abaremaseu, Goshujin Sama). Tickets cost 3000 yen in advance and 3500 yen at the door. What’s more – all attendants will get a live-distributed CD called 「御主人様の♪暴れませう」 (Goshujin Sama no ♪ Abaremaseu).
And finally – they’ll release a mini-album titled 「innocence」 on November 24th. It will go on sale for 2300 yen. More details, such as a tracklist, to follow.

It turns out, Daichi, Haku, Zekusu and Takumi will all be leaving the band at the end of the month.

Although this is unexpected announcement, after our lives in June are complete, our guitarists Daichi and Haku, bassist Zekusu and drummer Takumi will be leaving the band.We would like to take this opportunity to give our gratitude to the fansw ho have been supporting us, and to everyone connected with the band.
We truly thank you.Even though Virgil will change, we hope that you will support their future activities, and keep cheering them on as best you can.

A new drama CD for Virgil

I’m not sure if you remember that Virgil have released their first “drama” CD entitled 「奇才楽団ディスク第１弾「ゼクス之章」 (Kisai Gakudan Disk #1 “Zekusu no Shou”) some time ago. It seems that the band has decided to make something very similar this time too and release another CD made in that style – containing special audio dramas, featuring the members.
It will be entitled 「奇才楽団物語「白之章」」(Kisai Gakudan Monogatari “Haku no Shou”) and go on sale on the 19th of May. The release itself will be also the final part of their 3-months consecutive release campaign. Anyway, it will come in 2 types: Type A for 2625 yen and Type B for 2415 yen.

I believe we haven’t mentioned it here yet, but Virgil will be releasing a new single on the 7th of April! Even though it’s only few days left to the release date I thought I should update you on it nevertheless, so:
The single will be entitled 「-Desert-」 and come in 2 types. The limited one will cost 1575 yen and be limited to 3000 copies, whilst the regular one will cost 1260 yen:

Virgil’s song used as en ending theme to a TV programme

A song from the upcoming Virgil’s single wil be used as en ending theme in an ABC TV programme called 「ビーバップ！ハイヒール」 (Be-bop! High heel). It is broadcasted from 23:17 to 00:17 each Thursday.
Anyway the tracklist of the single wasn’t updated on the site as well, I believe. The limited type will only contain the first song and a PV to it, whilst the regular type will include 2 songs:

Virgil will be releasing a new single entitled 「SENSE」 on the 3rd of March. It will come in two types: type A will cost 1575 yen and contain one song Lost sense and a PV to it, whilst type B for 1260 will contain two songs. More details to follow.
What’s more the band has planned a short oneman tour, hitting off in May, celebrating their 1st anniversary. The tickets to the gigs will cost 3000 yen when bought in advance and 3500 at the door. All who decide to attend will get bonuses.

Shyena moves on with V-last

Shyena (ex DragonWAPPPPPPER) now has a brand new band! They are called V-last and they have their very first live on December 11th at Shibuya O-West. They are busy guys and have a few lives lined up into the next year, including an event with PS Company Indie on January 10th with bands like ViViD, Virgil, Serial Number and xTRiPx.
Their home page opened today and the members and look was revealed. What do you think?

LOOP ASH’s 10th Anniversary + Aioria’s revival

This spring will mark the label’s 10th anniversary and also Michiru’s birthday is on March 5th. To mark the celebration there will be a big event called Kiteru! Spring Fesitval ’10. Remember when they did this event last year?
Also another cool surprise is that Aioria will be reviving for the event! One day revivals are really popular right? You can start getting your tickets next month so be sure buy your tickets on January 9th, prices are 3,800 yen and 4,300. at the door.

Virgil’s second single

Virgil will be releasing their second single on December 9th of this year! The title is 「Loyal」 and it’s coming out in three different types!
The limited edition Type A costs 1890 yen, and comes with a two track single containing the tracks, 「Loyal Milk T」 and 「Lovers again」 as well as a DVD with the PV for 「Loyal Milk T」.
Type B is also a limited edition that costs 1890 yen, and has two tracks which are 「Loyal Milk T」 and 「stare melody」. This type also comes with a DVD, but the content is 「ゼクたんの☆お掃除しませう」 (Zekudan no Osouji Shimaseu; Let’s do Zeku’s Cleaning).
Last but not least is Type C which is the regular edition for 1575 yen, and is a three track single with the songs 「Loyal Milk T」, 「colorless mercury」 and 「NEOPHILIA」.

Seems like 「Loyal Milk T」 is a play on 「Royal Milk Tea」 which is a delicious beverage that you can get hot or cold in most vending machines and convenience stores around Japan. If you like sweet tea, I definitely recommend it. It’s addictive stuff.
