support-for-versailles

For those who haven’t heard but are curious, at today’s performance at V-ROCK FESTIVAL 2009, the bassist for 摩天楼オペラ (Matenrou Opera), 燿 ~yo~, will be playing support bass for Versailles.

Yo wrote the following journal entry regarding his supporting role:

It’s already been written by Versailles’ YUKI in his blog, but tomorrow at V-ROCK FES’09 I will be playing support bass for Versailles.

Passing by the announcement on Versailles’ OHP, I wasn’t sure at first if they would perform or not, but before they had made the decision to play, they said to me, “If we do perform, please play bass for us”.

The only thing I felt was “If there’s something I can do, I want to do something helpful”.

We’re climbing over something that has been extremely sad, and for the sake of my sempai who are getting on stage to deliver their distinct hope to their fans, I felt that I want to support them, and taking on this shape, is the least I could do.

Also, I felt that I wanted to be able to experience first hand what Jasmine had left behind.

Even though our forms are different, I too feel the same way that the fans of Versailles do.

With my poor ability, I’ll be happy if you can support me just a little and give me a push on the back.

Tomorrow please support us, along with Matenrou Opera.

Versailles has posted the following message on their OHP regarding their decision to perform at V-ROCK FESITVAL ’09:

We have had a lot of inquires in regard to Versailles performing at V-ROCK FESTIVAL ’09, and until now we haven’t been able to give a clear answer. We apologize to everyone for making you worry, and for causing you trouble.
As a result of a conference with both the members and staff, we have decided to perform as planned.
For those of you who already purchased your tickets, we’re sorry for making you worry.
Also, we want to thank the executive committee of the V-ROCK FESTIVAL for waiting for our answering.

We intend to carry on living out Jasmine You’s dream, one step at a time, so we hope that everyone can support us from here on.
