Release date change for Sequence Records’ VA

Seems like there was an error on the new Sequence Records VA and now the release date has been pushed back. Instead of being released on December 29th of this year, we’ll have to wait another month for the release! New date for release is on January 26th. We first talked about the release over here.

New omnibus from Sequence Records

Indie label Sequence Records will be having its 10th anniversary soon and has decided to release an omnibus to celebrate. The omnibus is called FINAL SUMMIT, and will be released on December 29th.
The two-disc release will collect songs (including some SE tracks) from the many artists that Sequence Records has signed or supported over the years. It seems that all of the songs will be previously-released ones, but they will be remastered. In addition to some as-yet unannounced ones, participating artists include:

This is better late than never. On August 15th the Mini Album DICTATORSHIP is going on sale and the first press edition has a bonus track. They also stated that if you buy it on the 15th at the Hamamatsu FORCE event, you get a photo present (that’s only available on that day).

Venus reveals new look and members

We told you guys about Venus adding new members over here. Now it seems they are ready to get back into the game and even have a new look! In addition to that, Venus has also opened their own youtube account located over here. Sadly they seem to no longer be on Sequence Records label and the pc section of their site is still broken.
The new members (except Shinya) also have blogs up over at ameblo!

On May 26th, a new omnibus album called 「EXPECTATION of FORCE」 is coming out! This omnibus features nine bands whose center of activity is based in Shizuoka.

New members for Venus

Venus has been down a few members for some time, but as of March 21st they have added three new musicians to their line-up!
The new members are guitarists 都華咲 (Tsukasa), 涙 (Rui) and drummer, 慎夜 (Shinya). You can check out Tsukasa’s blog by clicking on his name.
The website has not yet been updated to show the new members, but their photos and so forth will be up in the near future.
The band has also announced that in the summer of 2010, they will be releasing a new, original mini-album! Details to follow.

Yup, before Venus they were in AnnNa together! JUN who is also in Venus was also in AnnNa!

Sakura also leaves Venus

We talked about Kanade leaving Venus at their December 30th live with other SEQUENCE RECORD bands. Now Sakura will also be leaving at the same live – the main site states this will be the last live with the current members which hints that Jun and Shigure will be trying to continue on in the new year.
The guys aren’t leaving without a bang, you can actually get a free live only single called 『Lucifer』. So if you’re going to their last live (with current members), be sure to get that.
In other random news, Sakura seems to be suffering from back pain and headaches and has visited the hospital – earlier in the month he suffered his second car accident but so far he seems okay and this hasn’t had a play with his withdrawal from the band.

After what seems forever, Venus’ site has as a total makeover! The site has not only been completely redone but they also finally loaded the new looks of each member which we talked about before.
The band only has two more lives before the year ends. On December 18th they have an event called Atomic Beauty Cat★ with Panic Channel, n’DooL, LICKER, auncia, RUI and ZELGYER. Tickets are 2,800 in advance and 3,300 at door.
They also have event on December 30th called SEQUENCE RECORDS PRESENTS
『SHIZOKA ROCK SUMMIT 2009-FINAL-』 with the following bands: Venus, ZELGYER, ESCAPE, RUI, WHITEBLACK, GRIST, GAIN and more! Tickets are 2,500 in advance and 3,000 at door. This live also marks the departure of their drummer Kanade. The news was announced shortly after they celebrated their 2nd Anniversary.

Valluna has updated with new hair and makeup pictures. The band has been getting alot of buzz and with the release from their first single early last month, they have been busy. They have even added 2 new events that you can catch them at.
Both events are sponsored by A.s.h.m for ALSDEAD! With the first event, they will be playing with Ha;qch and of course ALDEAD, Venus, Dizly, REBOLT, Made In GL∀D and more! The event takes place on September 30th.
Second event takes place on October 17th for the celebration of ALDEAD’s 3rd single 「PARADOX」! Again with Ha;qch, Made In GL∀D, REBOLT, SiCrow, navir and a few more!
Both events, tickets will be 2,800 in advance and 3,300 yen at the door.

Its that time again, time for the random fact of the day. Today’s random fact comes from Sakura of Venus. It involves my favorite subjects of all…hate and likes. Everyone knows how much I like talking about those. Anyways, what does he hate? Apparently he hates ‘time and insect’. What does he like? Freedom and Chocolate. Who doesn’t like chocolate? Everyone loves chocolate! Well, everyone loves chocolate besides you Hideko.
I am going to show up at Mija’s doorstep wearing a red glittery thong while toting a box of chocolates. I’m coming for you baby, beware.

Omnibus album, event and bus tour

There’s a new omnibus album coming out on May 10th called 『 -無限大∞感染-』 (Mugendai ∞ Kansen; Infinity∞Infection)! It iwll feature eleven bands: AibeLL, Art Cube, GallowS, シネマストリップ (Cinema Strip), Since1889, チーキィ (Cheeky), デンジャー☆ギャング (Danger☆Gang), 水樂 (Byakura), Venus, 焔 (Homura) and Rubik.
The CD will be on sale at livehouses starting April 18th at the Z & S Coupling Tour by the same name, which is sponsored by Zёnit Music Factory Co.Ltd. ＆ Sequence Records:
April 18th @ HOLIDAY OSAKA
April 19th @ HOLIDAY NAGOYA
April 25th @ Yokohama FORCE
May 3rd @ Meguro Rock Maykan
May 10th @ Urawa Narciss (Tour Final)
Tickets go on sale starting March 1st.
They’re also planning something kind of cool with Danger Gang, Homura and Cinema Strip. Twenty-five lucky fans will have a chance to go on a ‘bus tour’ with the bands, to their lives on April 18th in Osaka and on the 19th in Nagoya.
The party will travel from Tokyo (taking a night bus) and arrive in Osaka at 10:00am on April 18th. There will be a few hours of free time, then the event. After the live, participants will go bathing in a health spa. After that, everyone will head to Nagoya, where again there will be free time, followed by the performance, and then back to Tokyo.
Those who want to participate must register between February 25th and March 20th. The cost is 18900 yen (which covers the bus cost ONLY) and will only be held if there is a minimum of 20 people going.
