Great news for all VELGREED and Neah fans!
On April 1st Naru, ex.VELGREED vocalist has announced that he has a new band which is called [BIOSPHIA] and so far there aren’t any details besides the line-up but we’ll keep you informed for sure!

Awesome news for all VELGREED, RivaSquall, DI3SIRAE and DISQLOC fans! Today, on January 1st, a new band has formed which is called [Figallo] and the line up is as follows:
Vo. 明華 (Asuka) (ex. Ends∞Infinity, ex.DISQLOC)
Gt. 禾依 (Kai) (ex. The Grudge, ex. VELGREED)
Gt. 蒼 (Sou) (ex. The Grudge, ex. VELGREED (airu))
Ba. 色 (Shiki) (ex. VELVET NIGHTMARE, ex. DI3SIRAE)
Dr. 伽弥 (Kaya) (ex. RivaSquall)
These guys had a session band before which was called [boys love school].
There isn’t any other information yet but we’ll keep you informed!

New single for VELGREED

VELGREED have announced a new release coming! Their 3rd maxi single will go on sale on June 2nd and will be entitled「Awakening the 4 Ray」.
The single will include three tracks and cost 1,575 yen.
Furthermore, they will have instore events to promote the release.
June 6th @ Like an Edison Osaka (start: 15:00)
June 16th @ Like an Edison Tokyo (start: 17:00)
July 7th @ Like an Edison Nagoya (start 16:30)
Osaka and Tokyo instores have sign & handshake sessions, but in Nagoya fans will have an opportunity to have photo taken with a band too.

As we told you last month, 珪 (Kei) has withdrawn from VELGREED after their live on March 1st due to family circumstances. Since then, they’ve been performing with a support bassist. Great news, it has recently been announced that this support member has formally joined the band!
And I guess it will make a lot of people happy to see him back on stage! His name is 遥 (Haruka) and before becoming a member of VELGREED, he was guitarist for… Villain ! Pretty cool right?
The band is now working on their new look and we don’t have any pictures of the new member to show you as of yet, but we’ll keep you updated ! Anyway, it’s great to see that VELGREED hasn’t decided to disband after two consecutive departures!

VELGREED loses Kei

It seems that VELGREED is going to lose another member. Kei has decided to leave the band, according to the announcement on the band’s OHP.
To all the fans of VELGREED, thank you for continuous support.
It has been decided that our bassist Kei will be leaving VELGREED due to family circumstances.
Our performance on March 1st at Namba ROCKETS will be his last.
We are truly sorry for the sudden announcement, however, we hope that you can understand.
We are sorry for bothering you with repeated announcements, however, we hope that you will continue to support VELGREED.

アイル (Airu) from VELGREED has posted the following announcement in his blog:
It was announced at our live, but as far as being an active member of VELGREED goes, January 28th will be my last performance.
My reason for leaving, is that the five members of VELGREED are no longer able to have the same outlook on the direction of the band.
I am not retiring from music.
I will earnestly continue on living in music.
Currently, I do feel very sorry.
I want to live up to everyone’s feelings in my remaining lives with VELGREED, as well as my future activities.
Please continue to support me.

GRIEVER’s upcoming lives

Okay, I know a few of you are wondering what will be happening to GRIEVER since last night was Kikyo’s last live with the group (also was a live that celebrated the band’s first anniversary). The band has 2 more lives listed before the year ends.
They have a live on December 6th, with bands like camino, Larme d’ange, BLACK MARY, Dear L’Novel and many others… And their last live of the year will be on December 26th sponsored by UNDER CODE called act unlawfully Vol:21. Bands who will play along with GRIEVER are Megaromania, LOTMAN, ClearVeil, DI3SIRAE, VELGREED and E’m~grief~.
SIN wrote in his newest entry for fans to keep an eye out for Kikyo calling him a friend and rival haha.
I hope GRIEVER will return for 2010~!

VELGREED’s Remorse

As Adrienne told you a few weeks ago, VELGREED and GRIEVER will team up to sponsor their birthday event on November 27th at HOLIDAY Osaka.
But it appears that VELGREED will also be selling a one-coin single called 「Remorse」 during this only live !
Other than that, the band also got a new look (again) ! Even though it’s not that different from the previous one.
I wonder what’s with all those bands from Osaka using this background and sofa for their profile pictures lately !

GRIEVER has announced that on November 27th, their guitarist KIKYO will be leaving the band. KIKYO hasn’t given any reasons behind his decision, however, he did write that this was something that he decided himself, and that he wants to enjoy it until the end.
November 27th is also the VELGREED and GRIEVER sponsored event, ｢The First Awake -絶対攻勢-｣ (Zettai Kousei) which celebrates the one year anniversary of both bands! The event will be held at HOLIDAY OSAKA, and features other bands such as DI3SIRAE, Cla vi us, HARNES and Armeria(O.A.). TIckets cost 3000 yen a piece and are currently on sale.

In honor of UnsraW commencing activities and recording again, SPEED DISK is presenting a live September 23rd at Takadanobaba AREA entitled SPEED DISK PRESENTS「桜華乱舞」-UnsraWレコ発ライヴ- (SPEED DISK PRESENTS 「Ouka Rappu」-UnsraW commence recording live-). Playing along with UnsraW will be cocklobin, .EXE, VELGREED, PRIMEADDICT, ReivieЯ, and 闇撫 (Yaminade). Tickets cost 3000 yen and have already gone on sale as of August 15th.

Back in May, I’ve told you that VELGREED was planning to release their second single soon ! The guys have just updated their OHP with some more details !
The new single will go on sale on September 30th and will be entitled 「FACTS DROWN IN ABUSE」 ! It will contain 4 tracks for 1890 yen. Limited to 500 copies, you’ll have to go to their live OR to order it through Like an Edison to get it !

In my weekly OHP checking time, I’ve noticed that VELGREED have written quite a big announcement on their OHP to say that they would be releasing a new CD this summer ! We still have to wait to find out what kind of CD it is, but that’s already a great piece of news !

Speed Disk Presents Tour

Speed Disk have a tour they are presenting next month entitled 『桜花乱舞TOUR’09』 (ouka rappu TOUR’09/ Cherry Blossoms Dancing Wildly TOUR’09).

New look and 1st single for VELGREED

As it was mentioned in the beginning of January, VELGREED sold all its copies of their demo “DYSTOPIA”, which led them to announce their very first single in the same breath ! Well, those of us who wanted to buy DYSTOPIA but didn’t have this opportunity will be happy because their single will contain the song.
The band has revealed all the details about their very first single, entitled 「DYSTOPIA-decadence」, it will be released on February 25th as it was said before, but now we also have the tracklist and the cover :

And about the price, I would say it is a regular price for a maxi-single : 1500 yen
Oh and by the way, you can also hear a short sample of “depths in spiral” on their Myspace !
And as it said in the title of this entry, the band also got a new look, which actually not that different from the previous one, exept maybe for Naru.

All of this is good news, which is rather refreshing in the visual kei world. VELGREED’s free single that was being distributed at Like an Edison on January 2nd, “DYSTOPIA,” sold out! This may be disappointing for the many of us who wanted to hear their music but obviously couldn’t get the single due to location, however, the band has decided that they will be coming out with their 1st single in February! Unfortunately no track listing has been released yet, but it should be good.

I thought we’ve introduced them a while ago, but actually that young band has just been mentioned once by our dear Ernie back here. So I’ll take advantage of their new look and first sample to make a proper introduction. As you may remember, Velgreed has formed back in September after Naru left VULGAR.
