VAMPS will be releasing a memorial photo book [VAMPS LIVE 2010 BEAST "JAPAN TOUR"] on 14th February.
This photo album will contain photos from their tour, from on stage photos to close-cut and offstage.
Hence, this book will be full of valuable cuts from VAMPS to bring back memories of 2010.
As the day of the release is on Valentine’s Day, there will be 2 editions for this photo book.
1. Limited Edition (only photo album and a set of original postcards)
Price: 2500 yen (tax excluded)
2. Valentine special version (includes a special original T-shirt (size M))

Hyde doing voice work

Hyde seems to be a busy guy, he is voicing himself for an anime called Bakuman.
It was recently revealed that musician HYDE (L’Arc~en~Ciel, VAMPS) is doing his first voice acting work for the “Bakuman” anime series. At a post-recording event on Monday, he lamented that he couldn’t be natural in his role because he was nervous.
The anime is based on the “Bakuman” manga, created by the “Death Note” duo of Tsugumi Ohba and Takeshi Obata. The story revolves around two aspiring manga artists, and one of the characters in the story is a mangaka and musician named Koogy. HYDE is providing the voice for himself, appearing in the anime as Koogy’s producer.
In addition to his voice role, HYDE rewrote the English lyrics of the VAMPS song “GET UP” into Japanese, and that version is used as one of Koogy’s songs in the show.
“Bakuman” airs on Saturdays at 6:00pm on NHK Educational.

New single from VAMPS

VAMPS will release a new single on December 15th.
It’s called 「Memories」 , a song which was already featured on their album which was released back in July. It will be released in two types.
Covers haven’t been posted yet though. The limited version will come with a DVD. It contains the PVs for 「Memories」 und 「Piano Duet」. Tracklist for this release hasn’t been announced yet.

After releasing their new single, 「DEVIL SIDE」 on the 15th May, VAMPS have a new album in lineup!
For those of you already aware, you will know that their next and 6th single, 「ANGEL TRIP」 will be released on the 9th June. Following this, their new album will be released on the 2nd July. This 2nd album for the band, named 「BEAST」, will have 2 types; first press edition will come in a digipak case which will include a CD and DVD for 3,500yen, and the regular edition of the CD only, including design stickers on the cover, at 3,059yen.
K.A.Z. comments on barks:
The new album is going to be ace. This album has a lot of songs made to be played live at gigs, and the songs themselves are awesome!

On their summer single EVANESCENT – the duo actually did a cover of David Bowie’s Life on Mars? which is a favorite among many Bowie fans (including myself).

Kanon’s new song and event with VAMPS

Kanon has a new song which I believe it is called Transparent Key. The song is featured on the online game called Avalon’s Key. Yet again, the song is produced by Mana. You can hear a preview on the game’s website here. It sounds really pretty!
She will also be attending a live event with VAMPS called HELLWEEN LIVE 2009 on October 29th. On October 30th VAMPS invited MONORAL to join in and on October 31st BREAKERZ is the guest.

Here is a small, but very cool update on VAMPS’s U.S. tour!
As posted on their official myspace blog:
UPDATE! VAMPS has changed their schedule to allow them to appear at Otakon 2009! HYDE and K.A.Z have changed their travel plans to meet with fans at Otakon! They will appear at Otakon on FRIDAY AFTERNOON ONLY at the Baltimore Convention Center (times and locations will be announced when the schedule is finalized).As promised, they’ll be answering questions submitted by fans — only now they’ll be answering them in person, and they’ll be signing autographs as well!Exclusively for Otakon members, VAMPS will be handing out special passes at their SONAR show that will give you priority access to their panel and autograph session. Quantities will be limited, and you’ll need to be registered for Otakon to take advantage of the passes.
And to ensure you don’t miss out on either event, we’re setting up a special booth at Thursday’s pre-registration pickup just for those who have tickets to the VAMPS show. (Details will be posted prior to Otakon.)

Bento Beatbox TV Premiere

As Mija mentioned a little while back, JRR and Anime Network have teamed up to bring fans Bento Beatbox TV.
Again, it is hosted by Xion from Vaeidos and begins airing today on Anime Network. The first episode will contain information on Gackt, VAMPS, Angelo, Luna Sea and Deluhi and a music video from each of the five artists.
The premiere airs May 14 (today) on Anime Network and a ten-minute version of the episode will also be available on JrockRevolution.com starting at 8PM EST. But the whole episode is a little less than thirty-minutes.
From what I saw, there was…

3. I Gotta Kick Start Now – VAMPS
4. HYBRID TRUTH – Deluhi
5. Rosier (live) – Luna Sea
I just so happened to search for this today and I watched it. It’s pretty cool, actually. Although I had already seen over half of the PVs shown, it was still cool to watch it on my TV with friends and family.
I don’t have Anime Network, but I do have Comcast cable, which has some Anime Network content On Demand, if you go to Channel 1. Luckily, I was able to see the Bento Beatbox TV program for free.
I’m not sure if it’s like that for everyone, but on JRR.com there should be more information that will help so that everyone can view the program!

Xion from Vaeidos will be hosting a jrock show on Anime Network. The first episode will contain information on Gackt, VAMPS, Angelo, Sugizo and Deluhi. So far no official word from Vaeidos’ myspace or Anime Network’s site, but I have the channel and will be keeping an eye out for it!
The show sounds interesting, we’ll be letting you guys know more info when we hear about it! What do you guys think? Would you guys watch a show like this?
