New Year’s, often considered the most important holiday of the year in Japan, is celebrated in across the country in more ways than you can shake a stick at. Of course, the visual kei scene parties, and parties hard. While you may be familiar with oft-publicised events like UNDER CODE’s annual all-night party that tends last longer than most audience members can stay awake, there are really quite a few all-night shows! I’d like to introduce you to some of them here.

UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has announced a charity event and ombinus album release, both entitled as 「UNITED LINK for JAPAN」. The money they gain will be donated to Japan Red Cross.

Awesome news: Vallquar has announced an overseas oneman in Germany! Vallquar will perform on September 9th at BACKSTAGE HALLE in Munich, Germany. You can view the details and purchase tickets here. They’ve also revealed the tracklist and uploaded two samples from their upcoming mini-album, fabled, which will be released on March 23rd.

Vallquar has announced the release of its third mini-album!
Vallquar’s third mini-album is called fabled, and it will be released through ELE-MUSIC on March 24th for 2,415 yen. As a special limited-time present, anyone who buys the mini-album will receive a comment DVD! Unfortunately, the tracklisting hasn’t been revealed yet, but the cover has:

Vallquar’s new members + Madieduor revival

Thanks to fs_chibi for emailing us with this tip! A bit of good news for Vallquar – the band has become a full 5 piece band again with the addition of a bassist and drummer. Their new bassist is name Leina and their drummer is name Gill. They even updated their mobile site with a new look showcasing the new members!!
Now onto some random but cool news, seems like Madieduor will host a 2 day revival at Osaka FAN J twice. It was almost two years ago when we posted about their disbandment! The revivals will take place on February 7th and 8th.
The revival or session line up includes:
Vocals: Hikari (Vallquar)
Guitar: Ryth (Vallquar)
Guitar: Not known
Bass: Not known
Drummer: Chise (ex-Vallquar)
Kaito doesn’t seem to be apart of the revival even though he is ex Vallquar and ex Madieduor, we posted about his departure over here.

After losing their drummer Chise (who joined the band in January) on September 15th, Vallquar’s bassist Kaito made his last performance with the band on October 22nd. He posted this on his blog 4 days later:
1022 LAST ONEMAN
On October 22nd’s oneman live, I’ve left Vallquar!
The reason can be put simply in 2 ways!
First of all, I’m tired of chasing after dreams!
And the other one is that the deterioration of my self-motivation!
More details are being announced on the official website, so look there!
Even though I’ve left, I’ve chosen to do a few support things, so please support me!
I’ll tell you more about it later on my blog!
Strange, right? Unfortunately, I’ve looked on the official site and the most recent news just so happens to be from Chise on September 15th.
For the curious, here is Chise’s comment in regards to his own departure:
An important announcement to everyone
On September 15th, drummer Chise has decided to temporarily withdraw from Vallquar’s activities due to various matters. After numerous meetings up until now, it has been concluded that it would be difficult for him to continue activities with us. Although matters concerning Chise’s activities with us from now on are still undecided, we would like to thank you for supporting him.Comment from the actual person.
Although it’s suddenly come to this withdrawal, I am really sorry.
The reason why I’m leaving is because wherever I go, I feel that I am still very inexperienced.
I don’t think that it has anything to do with the band right now.
I was really able to experience a lot of things while I was in this band. I’m not exaggerating when I say that my life was at its most complete [because of them].
Even though it was for but a short time, thank you so much for everything until now.

Lots of exciting news for all the fans of Vallquar-ワルキューレ-! They’re going to release their 5th single, have a oneman soon and sponsor few events!
First of all, the band has joined a label called ELE-MUSIC and they’ll release a first single under them on September 25th. It will be their 5th single in overall and will be entitled ｢Destiny to deside｣. It will cost 1470 yen. The tracklist will be as follows:
1. Destiny to deside
2. unfaithful sin
3. scent
Furthermore, they’ll have a free oneman live on August 12th at ASF, which will be held under the name 「Terror of beauty-type.beast-」.
To commemorate their first anniversary, they’ll hold a special event. It will take place at Shinsaibashi OSAKA and will be entitled ｢forbidden art mythologyⅨspecial-Terror of “Drei”beauty-｣. Other participating artists will be: ALSDEAD, ヴァルナ (Valluna), GRiST, Synside, SCAPEGOAT, Ⅶ-sense, Dear L’Novel, BAELSCOPE, BLACK CAT, Larme d’ange, Re:dis, Ru:natic, ヱリザ (Eriza) and 凛 (Rin). Tickets are 3000 yen in advance an 3500 yen at the door.
Finally, they will have another oneman, which will mark the end of their autumn tour. It will take place at Shinsaibashi OSAKA on October 22nd, and will be held under the title ｢Destiny to deside｣.

News from Vallquar

Vallquar have announced that at the beginning of the month, they added a new drummer to their line-up! Their drummer’s name is 些世-chise-, and you can check out his blog at http://ameblo.jp/chise-weblog.
The band will also be having a two consecutive month release campaign that starts tomorrow (January 25th).
The single out on the 25th is called 「dependence」, and it’s been on sale at their lives since January 7th for 1575 yen.
Next month, on February 25th, they will be releasing their fourth maxi-single single called 「withdrawal」. This release will be on sale at lives starting on February 11th, and will also cost 1575 yen.
If you haven’t heard them and want to check out their sound, head on over to their offical MySpace for some samples.
On April 5th, the band will be having their third oneman live at Shinsaibashi FAN J twice, which will costs 2500 yen to attend and is called ｢聖憬美的-twice Anniversary-ウィラブトワイス｣ (Seikei Biteki – twice Anniversary – We Love Twice). Those attending will receive a free memorial DVD.
Along with the string of events they have planned for the next couple of months which we talked about here, they have another sponsored event on May 7th also at Shinsaibashi FAN J twice. Details will be announced at a later date.
On August 26th at Shinsaibashi BIG CAT, the band will be celebrating the one year anniversary since their formation. Again, details will be available later.

Larme d’ange looking for staff

The members of Larme d’ange are looking for actual staff members to help the band out. So far the only requirements are that you must be 18 or older and they don’t care on what gender you are. Would you ever apply to become a band staff or roadie?
Besides the December 6th event we just updated about, the band also has a New Year’s Eve event with CROW MUSIC called CROW MUSIC SUPER COUNT DOWN EVENT Vol.５. Groups who will be joining are WHITEBLACK, n’DooL, LICKER, GRiST, SUICIDE ALI, Valentine, Dear L’Novel, Vallquar, ZEROZERO and a few others! They also have a handful of lives until February.
Other news, they have a new look including support member Rai! What do you think of the new look?

Vallquar loses Aki

Vallquar have updated their site with the following announcement:
Thank you for always supporting Vallquar.
Recently, at our event on October 22nd, our support drummer Aki became an official member of the band. However, we are continuing to expand our activities, and at this time Aki’s current situation and feelings make it difficult for him to continue on in the band.As a result of discussing it with the members, Aki has unfortunately withdrawn from the band’s activities as of our performance on November 9th.
For Aki’s comment, please visit his official blog.Vallquar will carry on as planned with our releases, and performances as scheduled from November 14th.
We sincerely apologize to the fans who have been cheering us on, and to all those connected wth the band.

Back in August, we talked about a few of the future plans for Vallquar. Well, they’ve updated their OHP with a lot of news and things for fans to look forward to!
First off, there’s their first mini-album, will be called 「Splendor」 and is coming out on November 1st. It’s a six track release that will cost 2415 yen:

On December 22nd, the same day as their first oneman, they will be releasing their second demo maxi-single called 「Criminal Evil」. The oneman, is called ｢Neo Genesis of Mythology｣ and it’s a free show. Those who fill out the online form to book in advance, are able to purcahse the single as well as a livehouse limited DVD.
They’ve also announced that in the new year, they’ll be having a two month consecutive release! Their third single, 「dependence」, will cost 1575 yen and come out on January 20th. Their fourth, 「withdrawl」 is out on February 25th, and will also cost 1575 yen.
Along with all of these releases, they have a two days sponsored event in January, plus another sponsored event in February, and a twoman show!
The two days event is on January 7th and 8th at Osaka FAN J twice and is called ｢forbidden art mythologyⅢ/Ⅳ｣. The cost is 2800 yen in advance, or 3300 yen at the door. On this day, 「dependence」 will be available for pre-sale. Bands participating in the event are as follows.

On February 11th at Okayama CRAZY MAMA 2nd Room the band will be hosting another event, this time called ｢forbidden art mythologyⅤ｣. The cost to attend is 2111 yen (if you book in advance), and the guest bands have not yet been announced. They will also be selling 「withdrawl」 in advance at this event.
Finally, at Osaka FAN J twice on February 22nd, there will be ｢forbidden art mythologyⅥSPECIAL｣ which is a Vallquar and DearL’Novel twoman show. Tickets cost 2222 yen or 3300 yen at the door.

Vallquar has been really busy since their formation back in March. After a first one-man on July 28th, during which they’ve also sold their very first maxi-single, the band band will sponsor an event on October 22nd at Shinsaibashi Fan-J Twice (Osaka), along with bands such as : Scarlett / WHITEBLACK / ミサルカ (Misaruka) / Larme d’ange / Ridiot etc…
On this precise day, the band will also be releasing their very first mini-album, entitled ｢forbidden art mythologyⅡ｣! They haven’t posted more details on that new release, but we’ll keep you informed. But anyway, it seems that it will only be available at their live, like it was already the case for their first maxi-single.
Other than that, the band will also have its second one-man live on December 22nd at Shibuya CHELSEA HOTEL ! People who will attend this one-man called ｢Neo Genesis of Mythology｣ will also get a free CD and a free DVD.
To go with all those news, Vallquar also recently got a new look. Sounds like everything’s going smoothly for them !

New band for ex-Madieduor members !

Thanks to Trombe once again for the heads-up :
Last month, ex-Madieduor members have formed a new band called 「Vallquar」. That was pretty fast since they disbanded one month ago !
Their members will first perform as session band called 「悪胡瓜(Warukyuuri)」at Osaka FAN J twice on June 25th, and their first live as Vallquar will be held at Osaka Honmachi club MERCURY on July 28th, during which they will also sell their very first maxi single「Genesis of Mythology」 for 1050yen with the following tracklist :
