    O-PARTS is a two-man unit that started in June of 2009, formed by vocalist sho-ka (ex. Vogus Image) and bassist Jun (GaGaaalinG, ex. WAIVE). All UnsraW members have posted a banner on their blogs, which announced few exciting things for all the band’s fans!

First of all, they’re going to have a 3-months consecutive releases campaign! There are no details about the releases so far, but we will surely let you know, once there are.

Secondly, they’ll hold 3 sponsored events, each one month, which will commemorate the releases as well. They will be entitled 「Destruction in Ksana」and the dates are:

November 19th @ Takadanobaba AREA
December 21st @ Takadanobaba AREA
January 16th @ Takadanobaba AREA

Do you remember when we mentioned that UnsraW would be going to Europe in September? Well, it seems that the planned tour will be postponed to winter. Here is an official announcement, which appeared on CLJ Records’ site:

Unfortunately UnsraW’s Europe Tour – planned for September – has to be postponed to Winter.
Therefore UnsraW will not be able to play at the IFA in Berlin.

We apologize deeply for any inconveniences caused and hope to see you all in Winter!

amber gris have announced that they’ll be releasing their first mini-album on September 15th, which is going to be entitled 「チャイルド・フォレスト」(Child Forest). It will contain 6 songs and cost 2300 yen.

Not only is the band going to release a new mini-album, but also to re-release their first single called 「上空8000ft-少年は天国へ届くのか-」 (Joukou 8000ft-Shounen wa Tengoku he Todoku no ka-). It will be available to more fans now, and the sale will start also on September 15th. The single will cost 1300 yen, as previously.

Furthermore, the band will hold a short sponsored tour, which will commemorate both releases. It will take place under the title 『maternity in the dark.』 on following dates:

And finally some thrilling news for all fans of dark and heavy J-Rock: UnsraW will take part at the IFA in Berlin, where they will impress the audience with one of their fascinating shows. After this great event, UnsraW will tour again in Europe in September, due to the big demand from fans after their last successful tour!

Any German readers know what IFA is? I looked it up and found some sort of electronic trade show…

There are finally some fantastic news for UnsraW fans! The band has 2 new members, a guitarist 円 (Madoka) and a bassist 迅 (Jin).

What is more, all the members have decided to set new blogs on Ameba!

UnsraW’s cancels live in Stockholm

The live in Stockholm seems to be canceled now, if you did purchase a ticket you can get a refund by visiting New Nippon Producitons’ site. The live was set to happen on February 5th.

A lot of people have asked for translations of the member’s comments on Rai leaving UnsraW, which we posted about back here. These are the comments from the band’s OHP.

Rai’s Comment

I’m sorry for the sudden announcement.
At this time, I have decided to leave UnsraW.
My reason for leaving is that I realized that the direction that I was going in was different from that of the other members.
When you’re in a band together, no matter how close you are, you’re reliable partners who entrust their lives to each other, and so you carry the lives of other people on your shoulders. I thought that you can’t carry on with just the simple feeling of things being fun and comfortable.
From our formation to our activity pause to our revival, if I said that I had no regrets because we all continued and pushed through both the fun times and the tough times, I would be lying. However, this is the result of all of our worries coming out.
Being a member of UnsraW, and being able to play the guitar, are both things that I’m proud of.
I want to put all my effort into enjoying my time left as Rai of UnsraW.
To all of the fans who have been supporting me, to the members, and to everyone connected to the band, I am truly thankful.

Yuuki’s Comment

To all of our fans and those connected to the band, I’m extremely sorry that things have turned out the way they have.
I’m also sorry for the sudden announcement.
I think there’s lots of people who won’t hide the confusion they feel towards this.
However, this is the answer we reached after thinking about it over and over.
I’ve been friends with Rai since before UnsraW started, and we used to say things like, “it’d be great if we could play music together someday, wouldn’t it?”.
When he brought up leaving the band, at first, I was really surprised and I couldn’t believe it. As the band’s leader, I was extremely worried, and above all, before we reached this decision, I think Rai himself was the most troubled.
After this we’ll be walking down different paths, however, as we made this decision as a plus for both parties, please continue both UnsraW and Rai.
We only have a little time left together, so I want us both to cherish it.
From here on, please warmly watch over UnsraW.

Tetsu’s Comment

To the fans who are always cheering us on, and to everyone who’s connected to the band, I’m sorry for surprising you with this sudden announcement.
As we announced, Rai has decided to leave UnsraW.
Rai is a good friend, who I pushed through numerous hard times with. As we’re both guitarists, we talked about all sorts of things, we shared experiences, and so many other things that I can’t express through words and but I cherish the time we’ve spent together.
The outcome, which is Rai leaving the band, is something that’s really difficult, and it’s not something that I can instantly understand. However, I want to understand that it’s an outcome that focuses on both of our futures.
I want to put all my energy into enjoying these last few lives we have with Rai.

Shou’s Comment

First off, I’m really sorry that we’ve made this type of announcement, which has made everyone confused.
The band talked about how Rai’s course of action is different from that of the band’s, which makes it difficult for him to continue on, and therefore after numerous discussions between all the members, it has been decided that he will be leaving the band.
Rai is an important friend who together with, I’ve sped through UnsraW’s formation up until today, and who I’ve shared fun times, hard times, and all sorts of things with.
We had a lot of chances to work together, and we’ve had a lot of different conversations.
During lives, he looks like he enjoys playing, so just seeing that, I also have fun. He’s that kind of guy.
There are too many things to think back on, and now that he’s leaving the band, I feel really disappointed.
However, this outcome is based on Rai thinking about himself, and even though we’ll be in different directions, I hope that we’ll be able to encourage each other and keep our relationship.
From here on, one by one, we’ll take special care of the lives that we can do together with Rai, so please continue to support us.

Even though we just heard that UnsraW is returning, Yuki seems to be updating his blog! He updated today which is great seeing that his last entry was back in 2006! Lets keep an eye out to the new activity.

He updates just to say thank you to everyone who has waited and sent him words of encouragement and says sorry for making people wait, he also posts a picture of all the get-well cranes fans have made. The band restarts on August 22nd

Due to an accident which injured his hand last year while UnsraW was on activity pause, bassist Jun has announced he will withdraw from the band. Unfortunately he has not made a full recovery and is having difficulty playing as he used to. Because he felt he would be holding everyone back, after talking to the members, it was decided that withdrawing was the best option. He apologized to everyone who was looking forward to the revival of UnsraW as a 5 person band, and hopes that everyone will continue supporting them in the future.

This is something many of us have been waiting for a long time, and now it’s finally happening!

UnsraW is going to do a comeback after a very long break they had because of the vocalist Yuuki’s illness. The band will hold two lives to celebrate their revival at Takadanobaba AREA, on August 22nd and 23rd. Tickets can be bought at Death Trap ID’s Harajuku shop starting on July 5th, and through Lawson starting on July 11th.

Jun gets in an accident

Jun from UnsraW wrote in his journal how on the night of the 24th, he was in a motorcycle accident.

Due to his injuries, he will be taking about a month off to fully recover and as the doctor’s have ordered, he has no choice but to cancel his appearances on December 30th and 31st at Ikebukuro Cyber. Furthermore, for the session bands he has planned for the future, another bassist will be taking his place.

He apologizes if he’s made anyone worry due to his announcement.
