To everyone who has supported Tokyo Michael.

Since their formation in 2000, although they have continued activities for 10 years without changing members, [Tokyo Michael] will disband upon bassist Nanjou Kanata’s withdrawal. To all the fans who supported them as well as the related staff, we are truly sorry for having to come to this conclusion. However, after discussing the current situation with the remaining members, they feel that it would be impossible to bring a new member into their environment, and so will disband after their February 28th, 2011 Shibuya O-WEST performance. Although Tokyo Michael’s remaining activities are few, we hope that you will still support them until the final end.

Their 2nd full album 「LOVE. 」 is set to be released on December 15th, and will cost 3,150 yen. The tracklist and cover art is as follows:

The band is also having an oneman live before the release. They will perform at SHIBUYA BOXX on December 6th. Tickets cost 3,000 yen in advance and 3,500 yen at doors.

The band is going to release a new single on November. 「ACT」 will come out in two types on November 3rd. Limited edition will have two tracks + a bonus DVD and costs 1,890 yen, when regular edition will have three tracks and costs 1,575 yen. Both editions will include a trading card, one of six different kinds.

To promote the single they will also have a sponsored event 「Triangle Prism Vol.3」 at Ikebukuro Black Hole on October 22nd. Tickets will cost 3,000 in advance and 3,500 yen at the door. Artist performing are DragonWAPPPPPPER, ALiBi and 東京ミカエル (Tokyo Michael).

At that time, no details on the single were available, however, more information has been released!

The new single, 「split recollection.」 will be out on August 11th in two types.
The first press edition costs 1890 yen and comes with two tracks plus a DVD that contains a PV, whereas the regular edition is 1260 yen for three tracks.

The band has also announced that on August 23rd, they’ll be having a oneman show at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall called 「the other side of the love」. Tickets cost 4800 yen a piece and go on sale starting June 26th.

Futhermore, footage from kannivalism’s performance on May 5th at Shibuya-AX will be featured on the various artists DVD, 「EXTRA-TERRITORIAL 2010.05.05 at SHIBUYA-AX」.

This DVD costs 4410 yen, and includes footage from the live as well as off-shot footage of the bands that played that night:

The band has announced that on March 3rd, they will be releasing a brand new single! The single will be called 「ハピネス」 (Happiness) and it’s coming out in two types. A first press edition that costs 1890 yen and comes with a DVD, plus the regular edition for 1260 yen.

On October 17th, we planned to have our oneman live, 「- 104℃ チエネツ」 (Chienetsu) at Shinjuku Marble, but yesterday our vocalist Sanada Ikkou was urgently hospitalized, and currently is unable to perform on stage, so we after much discussion, we have decided to postpone.

We are deeply sorry to all the fans who were planning on attending the live, and for causing you to worry. Ikkou, taking his physical condition as a priority, hopes that you can understand our reasons for postponing the oneman.

Both Kanata and Kanna have posted about the announcement in their blogs, saying that they too are sorry to the fans, but will update everyone about the rescheduled date. They ask for everyone’s support and understanding. Kanata also wrote that he feels that they could not do the oneman without Ikkou, as Tokyo Michael. is all the members combined.

Like it was already the case last year, the SCUBER DIVE is split in two part, one in Osaka (Naniwa) and one in Tokyo (Shibuya). So, those of you who are lucky enough to be in Japan in that period should definitly go ! Hard choice though !
