    O-PARTS is a two-man unit that started in June of 2009, formed by vocalist sho-ka (ex. Vogus Image) and bassist Jun (GaGaaalinG, ex. WAIVE). ワン★スター (One★Star) is a fairly new band, which has recently joined Shimizuya Records (a label of Lycaon and Re:dis). The members of the band are:

Vocal: トライチ (Toraichi) || ex. Fuzylog.
Guitar: ロミオ (Romeo) || ex. Fuzylog.
Guitar: ひえ (Hie) || ex. Fate → Fuzylog.
Bass: マキ (Maki) || ex. Fuzylog.
Drums: 真也 (Shinya)

They’re going to release their first single on October 6th. It will be entitled 「MIRACLE MUSIC SHOWTIME」 and will be sold for 1600 yen. The tracklist is as follows:

DragonWAPPPPPPER’s new single and sponsored event

Certainly good news for DragonWAPPPPPPER fans!

The band is going to release a new single on November. 「ACT」 will come out in two types on November 3rd. Limited edition will have two tracks + a bonus DVD and costs 1,890 yen, when regular edition will have three tracks and costs 1,575 yen. Both editions will include a trading card, one of six different kinds.

To promote the single they will also have a sponsored event 「Triangle Prism Vol.3」 at Ikebukuro Black Hole on October 22nd. Tickets will cost 3,000 in advance and 3,500 yen at the door. Artist performing are DragonWAPPPPPPER, ALiBi and 東京ミカエル (Tokyo Michael).

kannivalism’s new release and participation in VA DVD

Back in May, we talked about kannivalism’s new DVD, and we also posted about the new single that they had announced for this summer.

At that time, no details on the single were available, however, more information has been released!

The new single, 「split recollection.」 will be out on August 11th in two types.
The first press edition costs 1890 yen and comes with two tracks plus a DVD that contains a PV, whereas the regular edition is 1260 yen for three tracks.

The band has also announced that on August 23rd, they’ll be having a oneman show at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall called 「the other side of the love」. Tickets cost 4800 yen a piece and go on sale starting June 26th.

Futhermore, footage from kannivalism’s performance on May 5th at Shibuya-AX will be featured on the various artists DVD, 「EXTRA-TERRITORIAL 2010.05.05 at SHIBUYA-AX」.

This DVD costs 4410 yen, and includes footage from the live as well as off-shot footage of the bands that played that night:

Great news for 東京ミカエル (Tokyo Michael) fans!

東京ミカル。 (Tokyo Michael.) have posted the following announcement on their OHP:

Thank you for always supporting Tokyo Michael..
On October 17th, we planned to have our oneman live, 「- 104℃ チエネツ」 (Chienetsu) at Shinjuku Marble, but yesterday our vocalist Sanada Ikkou was urgently hospitalized, and currently is unable to perform on stage, so we after much discussion, we have decided to postpone.

We are deeply sorry to all the fans who were planning on attending the live, and for causing you to worry. Ikkou, taking his physical condition as a priority, hopes that you can understand our reasons for postponing the oneman.

Both Kanata and Kanna have posted about the announcement in their blogs, saying that they too are sorry to the fans, but will update everyone about the rescheduled date. They ask for everyone’s support and understanding. Kanata also wrote that he feels that they could not do the oneman without Ikkou, as Tokyo Michael. is all the members combined.

SCUBER DIVE ’09

SCUBER DIVE is an important Visual Kei event that’s been created two years ago, back in 2007. This event takes place both in Tokyo and Osaka, usually on the same day(s) and it gathers a lot of popular indie bands in different live houses of both cities. And it seems the two first editions were a success as the program of this year’s SCUBER DIVE has been revealed !

Like it was already the case last year, the SCUBER DIVE is split in two part, one in Osaka (Naniwa) and one in Tokyo (Shibuya). So, those of you who are lucky enough to be in Japan in that period should definitly go ! Hard choice though !

The timetable has yet to be revealed precisely, but it will be hold on July 31st and August 3rd, and here are the bands that are going to perform this year (more details on the timetable as soon as possible)

Thanks to Miku and her Lj comm for posting this. Their site always gives me viewing problems for some odd reason ;~; Anyway the band has a new look! Kanna’s is really different. We are used to seeing him in more girlie clothing. What do you think of the new look?

They are also having a new album coming out on August 5th! Title is quite unique: 『 35.6℃ 』. And it will come in two types – limited that comes with a pv of Shabon dama and bonus footage dvd. Price for limited is￥3,990 and regular will be ￥3,150.

Tokyo Michael’s DVD release

On January 28th, 2009, 東京ミカエル。(Tokyo Michael) will be releasing their first DVD release. It will be a music clip collection entitled 『イルミナティ、ノヲト』 (Iruminati, Nowoto(Note)). It will cost 2100 yen.

Tracklist:

1. おぼろ月 (Oboro zuki)
2. Mr.Selfish
3. ウタゴエ (Utagoe)

They also have new pictures up on their OHP. Although they are in the same costumes, it’s still worth checking out~

Tracklists for Tokyo Michael

We’ve been keeping everyone updated about Tokyo Michael’s three month consecutive release. As Komishika mentioned in July, the first part comes out on September 3rd and as Miku mentioned earlier in August, the next two are set for October 1st and November 5th.

The band has updated their OHP with the tracklistings for all three singles and they are as follows.

September 3rd – 「おぼろ月」 (Oboro Tsuki)
01.おぼろ月 (Oboro Tsuki)
02. 釘蝶 (Chouchou)

October 1st – 「Mr.Selfish」
01. Mr.Selfish
02. ナミダイロキューブ (Namida Iro Cube)

November 5th – 「ウタゴエ」 (Utagoe)
01. ウタゴエ (Utagoe)
02. あおの景色 (Ao no Keshiki)

All the singles cost 1575 yen.

The second of 東京ミカエル。(Tokyo Michael)’s three month consecutive release now has a title.  It will be called Mr.Selfish and will be released on October 1st.  The single will cost 1575 yen.

The third release does not have a name yet, but it will be released on November 5th. It will probably also cost the same as the others.

On September 3rd 東京ミカエル (Tokyo Michael) will release a new single, おぼろ月 (oboro tsuki). There is currently no information about the track listing, but the cd will be 1575yen, and it is the first release of a three month consecutive release campaign.

Back in 2005, 東京ミカエル (Tokyo Michael) who Miku did a feature on back in this post, talked about their formation in a Q & A interview with h’evn.

They said:

A livehouse manager had his choice of members, and the band was formed.

That’s definitely one way for a band to form! For some reason I’m so used to hearing about how the members met in school, or through previous bands that it seems quite different to hear of a formation that was arranged in such a way. I know, of course, that it does happen. You just don’t seem to hear it like that as much.
