Back in November we told you about SKULL disbanding. Their last live was scheduled to be March 26th but due to earthquake they decided to postpone it. New date is June 4th.

SKULL have announced that they will be disbanding after their performance on March 26th.
The following announcement was posted on their OHP and in the member’s blogs:
Thank you for your continued support of SKULL.
Although it’s sudden, we have an announcement.
At this time, SKULL has decided to disband after their live on March 26th at Takadanobaba AREA.
The members discussed their options until they were satisfied, and reached the conclusion to progress down separate life paths from hereon out, and therefore ask for your understanding.
We offer our deepest apologizes to everyone who has been supporting us for this unexpected news.
There’s only a short amount of time until March 26th, however, we hope that you will continue to cheer us on until the end.

2-months consecutive singles for SKULL

SKULL have announced that they’ll be having a special 2-months consecutive release campaign!
The first single will go on sale on the 7th of July for 1260 yen. It will be entitled 「「陽炎」「蒼炎」」 (「Kagerou」「Souen」)and contain the two title tracks:
01. 陽炎 (Kagerou)
02. 蒼炎 (Souen)
The second single will be released on the 8th of August under the title 「Nancy」. Its cost is the same as the first one’s and the tracklist is as follows:

Schwarz’s limited project : the Distorted my stratic Faith

A few months after Schwarz has left ケミカルピクチャーズ (Chemical Pictures), it seems he’s already back on the scene with a brand new (but time-limited) project called the Distorted my stratic Faith. So far, the band is only made of two members: Schwarz and さくら (Sakura) who’s been in SKULL from 2003 to July 2008.
They have also announced a few events they’ll be taking part in, but no release seems to be planned so far (if they ever release anything).
This looks really nice to me, and the members are also really cool, but I wonder, with just a guitarist and a bassist, who’s singing? Or is it just instrumental? I know they already have at least 6 songs but I wonder how it sounds… What do you think?

SKULL will hold a oneman live on the 27th of February at Harajuku Astro Hall. It will be entitled 「NATURAL BORN V KILLERS」 and cost 3150 yen to attend, if you buy the ticket in advance and 3675 yen if you decide to buy it at the door.
If you participate in the event, you will get a live-distributed DVD, so it’s really worth it!
What is more, the band have updated their OHP with a brand-new look! What is your opinion about it?
Finally, there are samples for the upcoming release available at the band’s MySpace, make sure to give them a try! And here is the cover of the mini-album, which has actually been released in Japan yesterday, hasn’t it:

Aki’s birthday event!

Remember this last year? Well Aki’s birthday is coming up December 8th and the event is happening again. This time its called Aki Birth Day Party「FUN TO FAN」-RETURNS-. The cast list for the event includes Seven, -OZ-, ALiBi, ν(NEU) and guests like SKULL and Dragon and DragonWAPPPPPPER!!
The event is on Tuesday, December 8th! Don’t forget to wish him happy birthday next month over here.

SKULL are going to relase a brand-new mini-album entitled 「ナチュラルボーンキラー」 (Natural Born Killer) on the 20th of January, about which we’ve already talked a bit here. Anyway, it will cost 2100 yen and contain 5 tracks:

Kouta, DIE x Vanilla Edge

Both Kouta and DIE from SKULL have teamed up with Vanilla Edge to create their version own accessories!
First up, we have Kouta’s, which is called 「アベマリア」 (Avemaria). The design features a silver pendant with Maria caved into it. On either side of the oval shaped pendant, are a deep blue cubic zironica stone, and cross, making it a gothic-style necklace. The necklace has a presence that gives is an amulet-like ambiance. Both Kouta’s name and SKULL are carved into the back of the pendant. Click photos to enlarge.
The necklace costs 11500 yen, and those who purchase it also receive a signed photo of Kouta.
Next up we have DIE’s, which is called 「BLACK STAR」 and is a silver and birthstone necklace. His is a “hard” design that features a “pitch black” star with black cubic zirconia, and a star cut from the center. Beside it, is a small star, whose center features your birthstone. The necklace costs 12000 yen, and the birthstones are as follows (note that the real gem is not used in the necklace and that all birthstones are made from cubic zirconia):

After 「Awake」 and 「SKIN」, SKULL is going to release a new CD in January, about which we don’t have any details so far ! After those two singles, and because of the long period between this announcement and the actual release, we could expect something bigger than a single ! I don’t want to be misleading though, but I guess this could be a mini-album, or even a first full album ? What do you guys think ?

Speed Disk Presents Tour

SKULL has added two new members to their line-up, giving them a total of five members! Newly added is りょう (Ryou) on bass, and ex-Schmelz Cure’s Kouta on guitar! To go along with the new members, they have updated their OHP accordingly.
But they have more good news! On May 20th they’ll be releasing a new single called 「Awake」, and on July 22nd, another new single called 「S K I N」 will be out!
Last but not least, on July 15th they will be sponsoring an event at Takadanobaba AREA called “THE BACK OF THE SKIN”.
We’ll update you with more details on the singles and event as they are published!

SKULL is back

If you remember well, SKULL underwent the departure of their bassist Sakura, as Adrienne mentioned in July.
Well, the 3 remaining members are back. Or should I say, they announced the day they would be back. Their come-back will take place on February 12th for a live at 高田馬場AREA (Takadanobaba AREA). They will sponsor that event during which they will play with bands like : SKULL, -OZ-, born, ラッド, ReivieЯ and more…
But there’s just one thing that could possibly scare some of us, they called that event “THE END” but don’t reveal the real meaning of that title. They even ask us what do we think about it ? According to the way they get onto that topic, it shouldn’t be a bad news.

SKULL loses Sakura

At their live on July 5th, SKULL announced that their bassist さくら (Sakura) will be leaving the band at their oneman live “THE LAST IV BULLET’s” on September 15th at Takanobaba AREA.
The decision for Sakura to leave the band was the result of the members talking about what’s going to happen with the band next, the things that they are intrested in doing and considered future progress.
The band says that for the remaining lives with the current members, they will continue to do their best.
The members have each written a comment regarding Sakura’s leaving the band. If anyone wants them translated just ask.

Dio Presents 3man

A few days ago we posted about the three man that was happening with Dio, RENTRER EN SOI and one more band who had yet to be named.
Well, today Dio updated their OHP and it turns out the third band is SKULL. As Hideko mentioned before, the live will take place on July 5th at Shinjuku RUIDO K4. It’s sponsored by Dio and will be called “Heltic Vision Vol. 9 – 3man Special-”. Tickets go on sale starting on May 24th and cost 3000 yen.
