Introducing D’sko

As always, the start of the year seems to bring around unexpected and unfortunate disbanding announcements. However, it’s also a time for new bands to begin!
D’sko is a band that started in November, and who had their first (demonstration) live on December 9th at Shibuya REX.
They’re a four member band with the following line-up:
Vocals - シト (Shito) [ex-MELISSA, ex-Veronica]
Guitar - HISAKI [ex-MELISSA, ex-haunted, ex-Rucid, ex-MerCurius]
Bass - テラ (Tera) [ex-VALQUR, ex-KiraLez, ex-LaTeratool, ex-6→7]
Drums - KARUTO [ex-Siva, ex-haunted, ex-Valls, ex-MELISSA]
Along with having individual blogs (click on the member’s names to visit), they also have a D’sko official blog on visulog.
Their demo CD was called 「極彩地底パラダイス」 (Gokusai Chitei Paradise) and was released as a free CD at ZEAL LINK stores, closet child, Pure Sound, Like an Edison (Shinjuku only), Jishuban Club and Lucy’s Pocket.
On January 23rd, the band performed at their first official live at Shibuya REX alongside other bands such as BLACK CAT, D’uAl, 黒雛-kurobina, BACALLA and others. That day, they also released a second demo CD (untitled).

Ex-SIVA Member’s New Band

This is a bit of older news, but still amazing nonetheless!
It looks like some ex-SIVA members have formed a new band! They were formerly a session band under the same name, but as of October, they became a formal band. Their name is Lucky13 and they’ll have their first live at Shibuya REX on 2012.1.15. Unfortunately their OHP is down at the moment, but hopefully it’ll be back up soon.
The members are:
Vo. カイリ (Kairi) | ヴィシュヌ (かいり)→ SIVA (カイリ) → Lucky13
Gu. 雄一 (Youichi) | Fatima+Queen → Elldorado → SIVA (憂→雄一) → Lucky13

No other details have been announced as of yet. But, this is exciting news for SIVA fans! What do you guys think?

New band: Sika-bambi

Not really visual per se but the majority of its members have been in well known visual bands! They are called しかバンビ or Sika-bambi. The frontman is actually…a front woman!
Can you guess who the members are?

Ba: Cell (ex SIVA)
Dr: Atsuto (ex SUGAR)
Their sound can be considered “cute pop”. I hope people are happy that many favorites are in a new band! Their first live and debut will be on August 31st! Follow their OHP over here.

ex SIVA members join in session

Actually only two ex SIVA members are getting together for this special session. They are called CASKET and the line up is pretty cool.

The session will have their first live on December 24th along with Variations – who we just updated about. The live will be at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU! Lets keep an eye out on them, I hope they do more lives!

We already told you about SIVA disbanding. So we knew this was coming…another best of for SIVA entitled LAST BEST ALBUM. They already posted a track list for the July 1st release.

Thanks to Ed47a for the heads-up !
It seems that SIVA has just announced that they would be disbanding after their last one-man live on July 25th ! So far, the band hasn’t explained the reason(s) that led them to that decision but they should post about it sooner or later…
I have to say that it’s only half-surprising since the band sounded really different after Iori’s departure, and it was not necessarily for good… but I still think it’s a pretty bad news even though it’s already been said that some of the members were thinking about some new projects…

SUPER COMPILATION ALBUM

UNDER CODE PRODUCTION is releasing a SUPER COMPILATION ALBUM called 「The End of Missing」 on March 4th!
The album will contain a total of 12 tracks, for 3150 yen and include songs by each of the following bands: chariots, Nega, SIVA, Dali, Arc, Megaromania, ClearVeil, E’m~grief~, Heisei Ishin, brodiaea, Lamina, and G.O.L.
So I’m sure people are wondering, ‘G.O.L?’ Well, it’s a limited time thing where the song will be written and produced by KISAKI, and feature Gori, who he’s been working with (and if you remember, since August he’s had his 「KISAKI PROJECT feat. Gori official blog」 and so forth).

Siva’s three oneman shows

As we talked about back in November, Siva is having a three consecutive month release campaign of concept singles.
To go with that, the band will also be having a oneman tour that covers Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka. Details are as follows:
April 1st @ HOLIDAY OSAKA – 「Rudra:Durga」
April 2nd @ HOLIDAY NAGOYA – 「Rudra:Kali」
April 12th @ Shibuya CLUB CRAWL – 「Rudra:Parvathi」
Each performance costs 3000 yen to attend.

Siva’s 3 month release

Siva is having a three month consecutive “concept single” release campaign that’ll be kicking off in the new year!
The first release is entitled 「Durga」 and will come out on January 21st. The single will contain the title track plus a bouns second track.
On February 18th they’ll be releasing 「Kali」 which again, will have the one track plus the bonus.
Following suit, almost a month later 「Parvathi」 will be released on March 11th with one track, and a bonus.
Each single costs 1050 yen and buying all three you can receive a comment and live footage DVD.

Another event with Siva! On December 22nd UNDER CODE PRODUCTION will be sponsoring an event for Siva. Its a commemoration of the release of their cd. The event is called:『Prediction from a prophet：Code8℃
And so far the band line up is pretty cool! Of course Siva will be there with Black:List, Nega, E’m〜grief〜, Jewel, Zip.er and Misaruka!

Nega and Siva team up

Nega and Siva are teaming up for two twoman performances!
The first one is on February 11th at Ikebukuro Cyber and is called 「beauty and ugly:01」. The second is on February 14th at OSAKA MUSE and is 「beauty and ugly:02」.
Both shows cost 3000 yen to attend and tickets go on sale starting December 13th.

Their performance will be called “Psychedelic territory Tokyo” and takes place on November 28th at Ikebukuro CYBER. Tickets cost 3000 yen a piece or 3500 yen at the door.

On September 1st at Shibuya O-WEST they’re having a special session band live, which is the night after Phantasmagoria’s one day revival and will be called 「貴族達の大セッション祭り 第八夜」 (Kizokutachi no Dai-Session Matsuri Daihachi Yoru).

Siva news! with a little bit of Dali

Siva who took a few months off and are now getting back into the scene have announced a few new releases.
First up are two new singles coming out on August 20th. One is called “demolish” and the other is “libelalism”. Both cost 1365 yen and come with two tracks.
Then on October 8th they’re putting out a new mini-album called “death education” that will be released in two types. Type A costs 2940 yen, comes with the mini-album that has five tracks plus a DVD which contains the PV for “libelalism”.
Type B costs 2625 yen and along with the five tracks contains one extra bonus track called “grief”.
Furthermore, Siva will be having their first oneman live on October 10th at Meguro Rock May Kan! The title will be “ZERO”.
And! In September Siva and Dali are teaming up for a jointly produced event called “art / smash – 2 DAYS-”. The dates are set for September 27th and 28th and the event will be held at ESAKA MUSE. For both days, Siva and Dali will be combining to make session bands.
On the 27th the bands participating are SIVA, Dali, ジュリエット (Juliette), ジュリィー (Jully), ネガ (Nega), Black:List, SUICIDE ALI, あゃ (Aya) and Ansinomy.
On the 28th the bands will be SIVA, Dali, chariots, ClearVeil, 摩天楼オペラ (Matenrou Opera), 関西変態系お笑いヴィジュアルバンドHEAR and SEED.

Siva takes a break

Turns out that Siva, who recently lost their guitarist Iori, will be taking a break until June. As it was written in the blog, they will be “going below ground” until then. During their time off, the band will plan things like their new costumes and the direction of Siva’s music from hereon in.
Guitarist Yuuichi wrote that although there won’t be any lives for a long time, and they’re making you wait, please wait for the rebirth of Siva that he feels will take on a great shape.
