Ridiot disbanding

Lots of unfortunate news today, it seems. Ridiot has decided to disband after their oneman on December 5th, according to the announcement which appeared on their OHP:

and, to all those who have helped
staff and all, we bring news.After the one man on 2010.12.5,
Ridiot will disband.With members leaving the band suddenly,
and much more obstacles than imagined
the best decision was a disbandment.We’re terribly sorry for such a sudden decision.
We plan on continuing the remaining lives with everything we’ve got,
and hope to have your support until the end.2010/10/29 Ridiot
The oneman live will take place on December 5th at Shinsaibashi FunJ and will be entitled 「SIGNAL OF MIXED IMAGINATION」. Tickets are 2800 yen in advance and 3300 yen at the door.

Mini-album and sponsored event from Ridiot

Even though Ridiot just lost their bassist, the band isn’t slowing down. They have now announced first mini-album release and another sponsored event, which will also mark their second anniversary!
The sponsored event will be entitled ｢変革シネマティック｣ (Henkaku CINEMATIC) and details are as follows:
Date: September 23rd @ HOLIDAY OSAKA
Cast: Ridiot, ヱリザ (Eriza), ZEAK, 華音 (Kanon), Armeria, RED universe and more
Tickets costs 2,500 yen in advance and 3,000 at the door. They also have free gift DVDs for those who attend the event.
Mini-album’s details aren’t yet announced, but it’s known that it will be entitled 「THE CINEMATIC」.

Thanks to Piiyan for the heads up!
Ridiot have announced that as of their performance on June 17th at HOLIDAY OSAKA, their bassist Akito will be leaving the band.
The following announcement was placed on the band’s OHP:
We are truly sorry for the unexpected announcement, however,
since the beginning of June, due to various reasons, our bassist Akito has realized that it has become impossible for him to continue on in the band.For our scheduled lives from June 17th and onwards, we will be performing with the remaining four members, so we hope that everyone can continue to support us.
We will update as the occasion calls about our future schedule and so forth, however, we want to offer our sincere apologies for the abruptness of this announcement.

There’s a bunch of good news for Ridiot’s fans ! It looks like the guys are really doing their best: new single, first lives in Tokyo, first sponsored event!
Let’s start with the live part. As I told you, Ridiot will perform for the first time in Tokyo! They will actually be there for two days:
Date: April 1st @ HOLIDAY Shinjuku
Performing: Ridiot, Medi＠lize, Ziggrat, Shushu, Jelsea
Date:April 2nd @ Ikebukuro Black Hole
Performing: Ridiot, RE:NN, guardant, Virulent, AnliPollicino, NaiL, Lilas, 鬼一家 (Kichiku Ikka)
As for their first sponsored event, it will take place in HOLIDAY Osaka on March 26th ! Some of the other bands taking part in this event are: 華音 (Kanon), アリィ (Allie), ヱリザ (Eriza) and C≠P.
This event is also organized to promote their 3rd single 「LITTLE WING」 that will come out the very same day. This new single will contain 3 songs and cost 1000 yen:
01. LITTLE WING
02. BLUFFING
03. SIXTH TIMES GO AHEAD!
You can already listen to some samples of all three songs on their OHP, check it out!
Other than that, the band has also announced that they will soon be revealing their brand new look (on March 21st)…

Finally some more information on Ridiot’s first single ! We’ve already told you about the band planning to release this single back in June, but with the recent update, we can now tell you a little more…
Titled 「BLANK IT」, this first single will go on sale on September 1st and will contain two tracks for 1000 yen :

Unfortunatly, it seems the single will be available only at their lives.

I don’t if it’s been up for a long time but it’s the first time I actually notice this announcement on their website. After a really promising demo (“THE FIRST JUDGMENT”) that they gave out for free, Ridiot is going to release its first single this summer according to their website.
The release date and other details such as the price or the tracklist are yet to be revealed.
