L~Lotus~ is a five-piece band comprising of three ex. as milk members – 蓮華 (Renka) on vocals, saki and Takayuki on guitars, masato on bass, and YUJI on drums. GLACIER is a five-member group from Okinawa, comprising of Makoto on vocals, Nao on lead guitar, Koujirou on rhythm guitar, Aki on bass, and Yuuki on drums. O-PARTS is a two-man unit that started in June of 2009, formed by vocalist sho-ka (ex. Vogus Image) and bassist Jun (GaGaaalinG, ex. WAIVE). In 2002, Kaya made his vocal debut in the Mana produced two-man unit, Schwarz Stein. In 2004, Schwarz Stein disbanded, and departing from the label the band was signed to, Kaya became a free singer. 砂月-Satsuki- began his solo career on February 14th, 2009, after spending seven years as the vocalist for RENTRER EN SOI. Good news again ! The guys from Mr.unknown are definitly putting their heart and sould into attracting attention ! After a very good single (「The Other Side of Hope」) in October, the band has decided to do something a few bands have been doing lately (BALLY, Administrator etc…) : putting a new song on free download through their OHP !
But be aware that 「Murder」 will be available for a limited (and short) period, from the 24th to the 31th of January ! Don’t forget !

Ichibayo mentioned in an earlier post Mr. unknown will be releasing their first maxi Single 「The Other Side Of hope」which contains three tracks:
1. Strained voice
2. a craving
3. The Other Side Of hope
The CD will contain those three tracks and be on sale for 1,050 yen with a limited print of 678 copies.
Originally it was announced they would release the single in August, then another announcement for September, and recently it is announced that the single would be released on October 14th. Whatever the reason for delay, thus far this will be the official date of release.

Mr.unknown lost their drummer 純 (Jun) back in July. However, they have announced that their support drummer… 淳 (Jun) as of September 23rd will become an official member of the band!
Furthermore, I forgot to post about this before, but the band’s mini-album “DARK EMOTION” which also comes out on the 23rd. It’s limited to 500 copies and contains six tracks:

2. grieves in the dark

4. 冷たい部屋 (Tsumetai Heya)
5. 耳鳴 (Miminari)

Fortunately it will be available through various CD stores such as Jishuban Club and the HOLIDAY CD stores. While these shops don’t do oversea shipping, you can always use a shopping service for perchasing!

Mr.unknown has announced that on July 13th at their live at Namiki Junction, their guitarist 純 (Jun) will be leaving the band.
No insight given on the OHP or in their blog, but they do say that July 13th will be the last live with the current line-up (quite… obviously). But hey, maybe that means they’ll be getting a new guitarist or even a drummer!

There’s a new omnibus album coming out on June 18th that features bands from Hiroshima!
The title of the album is “HEAT ~ introduction of HIROSHIMA Real Age ~” and it will feature eight tracks by eight different bands for a one time payment of 2100 yen! (… too infomercialy?)

Up until recently I hadn’t really heard of Mr.unknown, so I figured there were probably other people who hadn’t either. They look cool and hopefully they’ll be promising so here’s some information about them.
The band formed more than a year ago, in February of 2007 when they also released their first demo tape and had it up for download on their OHP for one week only. However, it wasn’t until June of that year when they had their first live.
The members are:
Vocals – 京介 (Kyosuke)
Guitar – Takekazu
Guitar – 純 (Jun)
Bass – You
The band released has released four demo CDs, two free distribution CDs and a demo mini-album. They’re also currently taking applications for a drummer, so hopefully they’ll be able to add a steady drummer to their ranks soon!
