Miyavi’s company – J-glam has updated some info on his newest release.

雅-MIYAVI- is Back !! With his first release coming up since going independent!
Ringtone downloads (Japan only) available from Feb. 24th.
On Jan. 1st 2010, 雅-MIYAVI- has announced a new record deal with EMI and the release of the DVD “NEO TOKYO SAMURAI BLACK WORLD TOUR Vol.1” which is set for release on March 24th, and the changing of his artist name logo to 雅-MIYAVI-.
Here are the details of the “Special Limited Edition Box Set” which will be released simultaneously.
The new song “Survive” will come in a USB memory stick on the “NEO TOKYO WRIST BAND”. This song was written during MIYAVI’s last world tour in 2009. Just as the song title suggests, it shows MIYAVI’s feelings during the strenuous and rough world tour.

This aggressive new song “Survive” is a live studio recording with just MIYAVI on guitar and Bobo(54-71) on drums and is co-produced/engineered by Toshikazu Yoshioka (The Strokes, 8otto). This song is surely a new and intense reintroduction to the SAMURAI GUITARIST, 雅-MIYAVI-. You don’t have to be an enthusiast to expect a pleasant surprise out of this unconventional grouping.

The USB memory stick contains a high quality 24bit/96khz version as well as an MP3 version.
You can also download this new song as a ringtone starting Feb.24th. (Japan only) Don’t wait too long to check it out!

MIYAVI will be releasing a best of the best album titled 『FAN’S BEST』!!

All tracks will be chosen by the fans.
To commemorate his fresh new start after announcing his new artist name logo 雅-MIYAVI-, a “best of the best” album, “Fan’s Best” will be released on Mar.24th 2010 !

Songs that have been released from Universal Music will be selected by enthusiastic fans from all over the world.
The top 10 songs will go on the album.
Plus, live footage from his Universal Music era will be included as bonus tracks.

MY BRAND-NEW SONG IS READY.
I wrote this song during the last world tour.
I think some of u guys might have heard it at my show.
(i kinda changed the title though)

I spitted out everything that I felt through out the tour.

as u guys know,
there are unbelievably many BAD & SAD things happening in the world now.
i will shout out what i wanna say as a musician through my music just as before.

music wise, it ended up being pretty SOLID & TIGHT
so just keep on waitin to be ROCKED !!

Miyavi updated his blog with some cool news, he has been signed onto EMI Music and will working hard with them to bring out more music. He has already been added to their database of artists over here.

….so many tough things that i’ve never expected happened this year.
parting from my ex company that i ve been with for 10 years,
making my own company J-glam Inc,
getting married and having a daughter,
launching my official FanClub for ppl all over the world,
having my 2nd world tour,
getting injured and sick,
and i signed with a new record label.

there was a lot of parting,
but more opportunities to meet wonderful ppl.

as i told my crowd at the FC party,
i signed with the Fxxkin’ cool label E M I music
to make a new ground from 2010 !!

they r so mad as shit so i fxxkin love em.
a great team bonded with hopeful perspective of MIYAVI’s music.
and i feel that im able to make a exciting future with them for real.

and ppl in the U.S.,
i WILL go there next year no matter what,
so give us a lil more time.
we r in a quite hard situation right now,
but we WILL NOT give up.

As you guys know, Miyavi did hurt himself and had to cancel his US tour dates. Many of you guys asked where and when he was injured so after looking through his blog I found an image and little blurb about his wound in France.

I hate updating with bad news. Thanks to our new translator Lisa for pointing this out to me.

It is with the greatest regret that we have to announce that Miyavi’s USA tour (scheduled to perform in Seattle, New York, Atlanta, and Dallas) has been canceled, and will be rescheduled.

There has been problems which occurred regarding the band member’s entry permits, and complications that arose during the process of scheduling/booking of venues. Moreover, the condition of Miyavi’s health after an injury which occurred during the Europe tour, has not shown a favorable recovery.

Miyavi has been greatly looking forward to the USA leg of the tour, and is still strongly opposed to the idea of canceling the shows.

However, after consulting with a local doctor in Mexico of his injury and his health condition, we as a management have come to a decision that it is not feasible for Miyavi to continue, and is best for him to return to Japan immediately to seek medical treatment.

We are incredibly sorry for the disappointment this may cause all of the fans in the US, but we sincerely ask for your understanding of this matter. This is to ensure a better performance with the band in it’s best condition.

Once we are able to confirm the rescheduled tour dates and venues, we will be announcing it on the official website.

We apologize once again, but hope to make it up to you in the near future.

In regards to Miyavi’s San Francisco Live and PMX appearance…

We regret to announce that the San Francisco concert and PMX appearance will be postponed/canceled.
All of our staffs at H.U.G., Inc. would have liked to inform all of our customers at the earliest timing possible regarding this matter, but until we had received a final determination from Miyavi’s management we were not allowed to make any kind of announcement on our end.
Both H.U.G., Inc. and Miyavi were trying our best until the last minute to continue with both the events and the US tour, but caring for Miyavi’s physical conditions, his future, and his fan’s future, they had made the difficult decision of postponing the tour and events so we can provide all of the US fans with the best tour ever.
We are truly sorry for this last-minute inconvenience that this may have caused to any and all of our customers, affiliated companies, sponsors, and every one who took part in setting up this tour.
Once a reschedule date is planned, please rest assured that our customers will be the first to know.
Our company will try to compensate for any dissatisfaction with our future planned events that we hope will make all of our customers happy.
We sincerely regret any inconvenience we have caused to our San Francisco concert attendees and as stated in the application form, all personal information such as names, addresses and credit cards will be securely removed from our server and will be deleted from our files.

The band will be returning to America for the con PMX in LA California (Pacific Music Live 09). Their live will be on November Friday, November 6th. They also have some other events which are probably autographs, and Q&A session but so far no full details on their schedule besides that they will be around during the full con.

Also doing a live will be jpop duo Papillon. This will be their first live in USA.

Like in our last post, its said that Miyavi will be doing a mini live but the PMX site has not been updated with that information just yet.

Did you know while growing up, Miyavi played soccer? He actually got an injury from playing and started to pick up music instead. Could you imagine if Miyavi became a professional soccer player instead of a career in music?

Lack of strong legs prevent me from playing sports, unless you count plotting for control of the world a sport…?
