MiU going on activity pause

Do you remember when we have written about MiU’s vocalist literally running away? Well, the remaining member, Shino, has decided to put the band on the indefinite pause. This is what he wrote in his blog:

Thanks to those who came to our gig, as always.
It has been decided that MiU will go on an activity pause.
Of course, it’s not what we intended.
I’d been taking part in the band without even thinking about activity pauses or disbandings, so when people around me ask, “Now this has happened, what are you going to do?”, all I can honestly say at the moment is, “I don’t know”.
I’d been so busy with practising how to play the guitar and sing at the same time, as well as re-arranging all our songs on the 7th, so I hadn’t had the time to think about it.
Now things have calmed down, I’ll begin to think about it.
It might not even be something to think about.
I’m definitely not going to sit around by myself, not sure of what to do.
Even if there are times when I’m hurt, when I feel pain or when I want to throw everything out the window, I will use my will power to keep moving forward.
I won’t blame anyone.
I believe that the “tomorrow” [future] I have chosen is bright.
It’s probably nothing to over exaggerate about; it’s simple.
As my thoughts have not come together yet, I will keep updating this blog.
I might continue to update with pointless entries, but I hope you will continue to support me.
Also, thank you for your letters, comments and messages.
From now on, I will face myself and the music, and keep moving on without any regrets.
Thank you.

Shino from MiU updated the band’s OHP with a message regarding their vocalist Mei, who they have been unable to get in contact with since the middle of February. Therefore, the band will perform at their next live on March 7th without Mei.

This was the message posted on their OHP:
Thank you for giving your continuous support to MiU.
At this time we have an important announcement.Since the middle of February, we have been unable to get in touch with MiU’s vocalist, Mei. We then received an e-mail saying that she was quitting MiU, and haven’t heard from her since.
We’d decided what our live schedule was, and we waited to hear from her until our studio day, but when it came time for rehearsal, Mei didn’t show up.
It’s all been very unexpected, and we’re not sure what’s going to happen with MiU from hereon in, but as far as our scheduled live on March 7th goes, we don’t want to betray all of the people who are connected to the band, so without cancelling, we’re going to carry on as planned.
Although this isn’t the most perfect situation, we’ll put all that we can into our music and into facing you, so we hope that you can support us.

The live on March 7th will take place at Shinjuku MARS, and will feature ミド (Mido) from えんそく (Ensoku) as the support bassist, and U-YA as support drummer.

MiU, who we’ve talked about over here – has their own myspace. You can hear some samples of the new band. Seems like they have a female singer. So far we only know Shino is a full member but his ex bandmate joined him once again on stage. Ex SCISSOR drummer – Shiun is playing support along with ex beaU bassist, Kino! So far no name on the singer. The new band is set to play again May 31st.
