New band: LAMF

Thanks to P-chan for the tip!
Another new band around! They are ラムフ (LAMF), formed in January this year and had their first live appearance in Ikebukuro Black Hole in August!
The members are
Vo: Kazumi (ex MiMiQ)
Gu: Shoutaro (ex DizSolid)
Ba: Naoto (ex CREA)
Support Dr: Masami
On their ohp, except the regular info, there is an interesting profile section that is named “single word”. Shoutaro’s and Naoto’s ‘single words’ are pretty hilarious:
Kazumi: “Take care to reach your heart”
Shoutaro: “Taking applications for a wife!”
Naoto: “I want a black kitty…”

Here comes some more bad news ! So I thought one post would make it a little less tragicomic than one post for each …
Anyway, as it is unequivocally said in the title, two more bands have chosen to disband ! This time, both MISSA and MiMiQ have announced on their websites that they were disbanding.
MISSA looked kind of interesting when they formed back in November, I didn’t expect them to disband so fast (April 24th) .
It’s a bit more surprising for MiMiQ, even if they lost two members in a row, I thought they were back on the good way with their very nice look, but the band has finally decided to disband after their last one-man on June 6th…

MiMiQ loses jun

MiMiQ has announced that their guitarist jun has made the decision to leave the band.
jun first apologizes for the abrupt announcement, but explains that his direction is different from the band’s and he’s felt that he’s been battling. There are other things that he wants to do, so he wants to try a hand at those instead.
He says he’s glad for the warm welcome that he’s gotten from everyone, and for the experiences that he’s been able to have being in the band.
jun does regret that he won’t be able to say a final farewell to everyone, but does make sure to thank all the fans. He hopes that everyone can continue supporting the band.
For now, MiMiQ will be welcoming a support member into their ranks, and will continue on with activities as planned.

Yikes; they haven’t been having luck with members lately. Ayame left and now jun… so there’s just three guys remaining. They have a kind of cute concept, so I’d like to see what they can do. Hopefully they’ll find a few musicians who want to join as full-time members.

mimiQ loses Ayame

mimiQ has announced that their drummer (and the rabbit in the band) Ayame will be leaving on October 30th at their sponsored event.
Ayame’s comment says that he’s leaving due to family circumstances and due to the fact that because of various private reasons, continuing activities in a band has become too difficult.
He says that he’s been worried about it the whole time, and apologizes to his friends for being troublesome. He says he can no longer continue to be a burden to the band, and has therefore made this decision. He apologizes to the fans and thanks everyone for their support.

Its the most wonderful time of the day. Its the time you get to spend with Big Ern. Today I’m bringing you a random fact involving sweets and Kanata from MiMiQ. It seems he has an issue with sweets. What is that issue exactly? Kanata says he can’t stop eating them in the middle of the night.
Its okay Kanata, I have issues with junk food. I think I could sleep walk my way to a bag of cheese puffs.

ミミック (MiMiQ) is a band that began in April of this past year and who began activites on May 6th at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU. They were originally a four member band until July 14th when their support member Jun became a full fledged member.
Now this is one of the things I found really cool about this band. Look at the member’s parts and look at their costumes. The photos are in the same order as they are listed below. (Click the photo to enlarge).

Guitar, Leader, Panther - カナタ (Kanata)
Guitar, Raven - Jun
Bass, Bull - 夏希 (Natsuki)
Drums, Rabbit - あやめ (Ayame)
The band will be releasing their first single entitled “FAITH” in just a few days — on August 19th. It contains three tracks for 1300 yen . The tracklist is as follows:
1. FAITH – Lyrics and Music by Kanata
2. 364日目の君へ (364ka Me no Kimi e) – Lyrics and Music by Ayame
3. 言葉の贈り物 (Kotoba wa Okurimono) – Lyrics and Music by Kanata
You can hear some samples of the band’s music if you check out their Official MySpace which was just opened! So far, I think they have something decent going here, and I think that they’re definitely one to keep your eye on!
