MELLO has announced that they will be going on an indefinite activity pause after their oneman show on December 15th at SHIBUYA BOXX.
The message on their OHP reads as follows:
We are honoured and deeply grateful for the support you have shown us in the past.
We have an important announcement for everyone.After the last of our scheduled lives this year, we have decided to put a seal on the band’s activities (in short, an activity pause).
We’ve been looking towards the next year and making various adjustments, but as a result of the respected stance of each member’s desired direction and musicianship, we have decided to ‘seal’ the band.
We will soon be meeting our last moments [as MELLO], and will be blessed if you can support us until the end.

Once again, the band’s last live is on December 15th at SHIBUYA BOXX. It is titled:

Vermillion Dust

On November 15th, the session band ヴァーミリオンダスト (Vermillion Dust) wll be sponsoring an event at Ikebukuro CYBER! The event will be called 「ご、ご、ごせんまんでフィニッシュ！」 (Go, go, gosenman de Finish!).
Those attending who say that they’re there to see Vermillion Dust will receive a comment CD and penlight.
The band also plans to hold a second event, which is a late night Vermillion Dust party. Details on that when they’re available.
So, who exactly are Vermillion Dust?

So far, the only other band they have listed on the session band OHP as performing with them on the 15th is Cinema Strip. Tickets to show cost 2500 yen, and go on sale starting October 25th.

Hey guys, Big Ern, doing what I do best. Have you guys heard of that new Ameba craze “PIGG”?（ピグ）If not, you should check it out if you already have an Ameba account. (You can check it over here) Anyways, it’s basically like an interactive online site, much like habbo hotel (Big Ern remembers habbo hotel, I was the cutest bunny online!) So, what about this site? Did you know that some of your favorite jrockers can be found on there?!? I’m not kidding! People like SATO from Mello and Agito from XodiacK even go online!
Now how cool is that? You can get the chance to talk to a jrocker! Big Ern is thinking of joining. You guys should too.

Sato from MELLO said that when he gets home, the first thing he does is turn on the lights and the heater.
That’s a pretty good move. Nothing’s nicer than the house warming up quickly after a cold day. Can anyone guess what I do when I first get home?

MELLO will be having a a free live on January 25th at Ikebukuro CYBER! The show opens at 5:30 and starts at 6:00.
On that day, the band will also be having an important announcement, and they say to look forward to the 25th, so that seems like they’ve got some good news planned!

Shun from MELLO has teamed up with Vanilla Edge once again to create a necklace! The design is called 「明日の為のﾎﾟｼｬ」 (Ashita no Tame no Posha).
The piece is made out of leather, a ball chain, silver charm and cubic zirconia. For 10000 yen you get both the necklace and cell phone strap. The leather background can be either brown or black, and you can choose your choice of colour combination. (For example, black leather necklace and brown strap).
They started taking reservations for the piece today (December 28th) and the orders will be sent out in February as they are made. All those who purchase the item will also receive a comment DVD from Shun!

Not too long ago we talked about MELLO going on pause. They recently lost Yumezi at the end of August but seem to be fully back with an announcement of a major release! Their mini album – MELLO will be released on Christmas Eve with 6 tracks. You can visit their new label site Crown Records here.

Currently aside rom the date and title, the only other information available is that it will cost 2300 yen.

Yumezi designs more jewelry

MELLO’s guitarist Yumezi has teamed up once again with Vanilla Edge to design some jewelry!
His first piece was called “TRUTH” and it was a pure silver necklace:
His new one, is called “FLY INTO YOUR MIND” and it’s a pure silver necklace with cubic zirconia. Included in the bracelet is the little heart charm, which carriest the same motif as his “TRUTH” necklace.
Furthermore, all those who purchase the bracelet also receive a special MELLO comment DVD as a present. Considering they’re going on hiatus in a few weeks, that’s a great added bonus for fans!

MELLO (メロ) has announced that on September 26th at their oneman live at Shibuya O-WEST they will be halting their activities.
So this is what happened. Yumezi decided that due to reasons such as his currently family situation, and because of discrepancies with the other members in regard to the music and direction of the band, he would leave on the 26th.
He still is leaving the band, but the other members decided that it would be difficult to continue on without him and therefore have decided that an activity pause is the way to go.
They’re not sure what will happen with the band in the future, and say that they have many choices that they will have to make.

So the session band I was talking about in this entry, with Amon and Sato of Mello and Nono of Neu, decided upon a drummer. This news is a little late and in Japan they’re probably playing…now. Or something. But anyway it was decided it would be Aki(solo drummer). Update: Aki is ex P*Route/Plu’to, thanks for the information xvirus!

The session band, キテる！BAND, (Kiteru! BAND) is releasing their 1st maxi single this summer called “FROM 1st”. It comes out on July 2nd, costs 2100 yen and will contain five tracks:

Neu renewed their OHP, I wasn’t shocked because they said on the staff blog that they were planning to do it soon. They updated the profiles, news, and live sections and they have an important announcement on the front page.
Neu is hosting an even for the first time.
It will take place July 05, 2008 at SHIBUYA BOXX and features:

Nono of Neu posted in his blog that he’d be participating in a session band on a live on June 5th. It’s ロドウェル [Rodwell]‘s one year commemoration live even at Sapporo PENNY LANE 24 called 「～極彩色ブレンド～」 “Gokusaishiki Blend”

Amon and Sato are in Mello and Nono is in Neu. I came across this information because I stalk everything Loopash related, but I can’t seem to find a lot of information about the session band as far as who will play drums. However, if I come across that information, I’ll post about it right away.
The live opens at 5 and begins at 5:30. The price is 2500yen at the door and the tickets went on sale on the 16th.

I meant to post this a few days ago when it was released, but I totally forgot.
Jewelry that MELLO’s leader and bassist SATO designed has been released on Vanilla Edge! You can see the bracelets in the photos below, just click to enlarge.
The materials for the bracelets include leather, pure silver, amethyst and rhodium metal plating. You get all three for 8,800 yen (about $80 CDN / USD). Reservations for the bracelets started on May 16th but they won’t be shipped out until July.

Honestly there aren’t many of the bandman designed jewelry that I’d even consider buying, but I like these. They simple and there’s nothing totally random and weird on them, haha. It’s also nice that you can wear them together, or just as separate pieces.

After a billion years (not really ^^;)…Mello finally changed their site. Correct me if I am wrong but I have only seen their first look on the site. So yay finally site renewal!! Their new looks are nice. They also stated that on May 5th they will be having an instore event! More details will be posted when they announce the actual time and pricing.
ALSO they will be having a live in June with none other than SEX MACHINEGUNS!! Way a go!! The live is simply called 【2008 SEX MACHINEGUNS 全県Tour「全国大会」】. (Not sure why its called tour since its 1 night at KRAPS HALL??) Advance ticket sales are priced at 3,900 yen.
