    O-PARTS is a two-man unit that started in June of 2009, formed by vocalist sho-ka (ex. Vogus Image) and bassist Jun (GaGaaalinG, ex. WAIVE). Thanks to kazushi for the heads up!

MaitoreiA, who announced that they would be losing their vocalist, RETSU, on April 23rd, have updated their OHP with the announcement that along with losing their vocalist, they have decided to disband.

We have decided that on April 23rd, after our performance at in Shinyokohama, MaitoreiA will disband.

The other day during rehearsal after much discussion between the members we decided that the most ideal choice we have, is for each of us to continue our lives going down our own separate paths.

Naturally, we first thought of continuing on with MaitoreiA, but we felt that from here on, promising a future for MaitoreiA is something that we can’t do, and we don’t want to destory MaitoreiA with repeated member changes.

With that in mind, we came to the decision to disband.

We understand that it’ll be hard for everyone to accept our decision, but the members have made their decision, we all respect each other and we feel refreshed [by our choice].

We only have one performance left, but so that we can have a live where everyone is smiling, the members and staff vow to put all their heart and soul into it.

Thank you for all your support thus far.

If you can, please share in the member’s [activities] as they ‘leave the nest’.

MaitoreiA have announced that they their vocalist RETSU will be ‘graduating’ from the band on April 23rd.

The following message has been posted on their OHP:

To all of our fans,
We have something that we must tell you all.
On April 23rd, after our live in Shinyokohama, our vocalist RETSU will be graduating from MaitoreiA.

Now that we’ve finished one year’s worth of activities, the members have come to an understanding about what each of their intentions are, and even though telling everyone [what they were] was painful, thinking about the form that these four members will take from here on, we arrived at what we feel is the best decision.

The four of us met, each growing on our own, and having our own different ideas, and [together] created one thing.

Even though this past year, which was almost like a miracle, has been a short amount of time, we are grateful that the four us were able to walk together with everyone.

We will be blessed if you will warmly watch over the roads that each of us take from hereon in.

MaitoreiA put up the preview for their promotional video, “ユグドラシル”(yggdrasil) that is slated to release on December 9th.

I am really looking forward to this release, the song sounds rather nice. The PV gives a kind of good feel too, what do you think? I look forward to see the whole PV after it’s released.

After the departure of bassist ZEN, MaitoreiA have gotten a new bassist and recently renewed their site with him and a new look.

The new member’s name is RIU, you can see him in the below picture on the far left.

MaitoreiA loses ZEN

MaitoreiA announced that their bassist ZEN has decided to leave the band after their third oneman, 「Promise to the venus. @ HOLIDAY SHINJUKU」, on September 18th.

ZEN’s reason for leaving the band is that his mother has gotten into an unexpected accident. She is currently in critical condition, and they cannot anticipate the outcome of her injuries at this time. Therefore, as things are now, it is too difficult for ZEN to continue on with his band activities.

ZEN apologizes from the bottom of his heart for the way things have taken place. He says that his grandmother and mother live together, and with his mother currently being hospitalized, his grandmother is left alone, and as there are no other relatives close by, he feels there is nothing anyone except him can do. He feels that your family is your pillar, and as a man, above everything else, he feels that his mission is to do whatever he can to support them.

He thanks all the fans who have been supporting him, as well as the members. The band asks that fans continue to warmly support them as they have been doing thus far.

Back in May, we posted about MaitoreiA’s first single that’s coming out on July 8th called 「明星」(Myoujou).

They’ve sent out information through the mailmag with interesting information regarding the special privileges!

If you pick up your copy at Like an Edison shops, you will receive a special DVD, each containing different footage.
Tokyo – 「Billiards　(Batsu Game)」
Nagoya – 「Bowling (Batsu Game)」
Osaka – 「Free Throw (Batsu Game)」
Harajuku – 「Table Tennis (Batsu Game)」

(A batsu game is a game played as a form of punishment to the loser of a game).

The first 50 who get theirs from Jishuban Club receive a special rehearsal take CD-R of 「明星」 (Myoujou).

For ZEAL LINK the favor is a signed message CD.

RISKY DRUG STORE is giving one group photo (type A, B or C) plus a top secret photo of DAISHI.

The HOLIDAY CD shops are also giving out group photos, but D, E or F types.

Pure Sound and Closet Child have one solo photo of the member’s included with the release; Closet Child using type A, and Pure Sound using type B.

Along with the special privileges, they’ve also updated their instore events list, and some of them sound pretty interesting!

MaitoreiA will be having their second oneman next month on 6/19!
It is entitled 「巡り逢い… (meguri ai…) and takes place at Holiday Shinjuku.

They will also be releasing their first single on 7/8!
It is entitled 明星 (myoujou). There is no further information about it at the moment, but we’ll update again when we know!

Hello everyone! It’s time for random fact! Today’s random fact is about hobbies~ because I like hobbies.

Today’s hobbylicious fact is about Daishi from Amaterase/Maitoreia!

His hobbies are collecting Studio Ghibli goods, history, strolling in historical ruins, and collecting clothes and accessories!

It’s not a long list of hobbies, but it’s interesting! And I like historical places too~ like the little den where I first saw the light of day~. Aa, how nostalgic.
