Maccaholic’s one-day revival

More and more bands decide to join the trend of holding one-day revivals, don’t they. Another one which has announced one is マカホリック (Maccaholic):
Vocal: ミナト (Minato) || now in パノラマ虚構ゼノン (Xenon) [as 湊 (Minato)]
Guitar: ケイ
Guitar: カイト (Kaito) || now in パノラマ虚構ゼノン (Xenon)
Bass: ミツキ (Mitsuki) || now in リゼルグ (Rezerg)
Drums: クロノ (Crono) || now in パノラマ虚構ゼノン (Xenon)
The revival live is going to take place on August 16th @ HOLIDAY OSAKA, it will be entitled 「マカゾンビ襲来!!〜マカッ!!一夜限りの大復活祭〜」(Macca-Zombie Shuurai!!〜Maccaa!! Ichiya Kagiri no Dai Fukatsu Matsuri〜). Other performing bands will be リルト (Lilt) and マイナス人生オーケストラ (Minus Jinsay Orchestra). However, it seems that there will be two session bands performing then as well:

新生 ニセルグルグ (Shinsei Nisergerg)
Vocal:りくルグ (Riku-erg) || from リゼルグ (Rezerg)
Guitar: hieルグ (hie-erg) || リゼルグ (Rezerg)
Guitar: ぎるルグ (Giru-erg)|| from 10万ヴォルト。(10000 Volt.)
Bass: ゆんルグ (Yun-erg) || from Un=(XAG)
Drums: 截ルグ (Setsu-erg) || from ZEAK
Those who attend the live will get a special Maccaholic live-distributed CD. The tickets cost 2500 yen in advance and 3000 yen at the door.

Well, there’s another new band in town called ゼノン (Xenon) who will officially start on August 24th by sponsoring an event at OSAKA MUSE.
The band’s concept is the convergence to zero and the construction of one. “Xenon” is the ideal direction of the panoramic world, and the five members will elicit a reaction.
The band actually started off as the session band, パノラマ虚構 (Panorama Kyokou), which came to an end on July 6th to turn into ゼノン (Xenon).
The members of the band are:
Vocals - 湊 (Minato) [ex-Maccaholic]
Guitar - カイト (Kaito) [ex-Maccaholic]
Guitar - アキ (Aki)
Bass - テツヤ (Tetsuya)
Drums - クロノ (Kurono) [ex-Maccaholic]
Although the band just got started, starting from July 7th, a free demo of theirs has been available at HOLIDAY CD stores, Pure Sound, Like an Edison in Osaka, Tower Reocrds in Kyoto and ID・PILOT DEAD ONE. Furthermore, on the 24th, all those who reseve with the band will receive a commemorative CD titled 「セツル」 (Setsuru).
There’s not much available on their OHP yet, but if you’re interested in them make sure you check it out! (Note that the PC version currently does not work).

Maccaholic disbands

Maccaholic has announced that at their event on March 14th, they will be disbanding.
They members have each written about it in their blogs, so check those out if you are interested in their personal comments. However, summarizing all the entries, those who talked about the break up have basically said it’s due to ‘private reasons’, and feel that the minute details not necessary to disclose.
They do say that it is not beacuse they’ve had a disagreement regarding the band’s music, and it’s not that the relationships are turning sour.
The band thanks everyone for the support they have been given, and will make the best out of the reminaing performances.

PLANETARIUM SHOW CASE

Planet CHILD Music is putting out a new various artists CD called “PLANETARIUM SHOW CASE” on October 29th! It will cost 2625 yen and is limited to 3000 copies.
The CD will contain thirteen tracks by thirteen bands.

R’s one day revival

The band R who disbanded on December 30th of last year will be having a one day revival live on August 16th at HOLIDAY Osaka.
The event, which R is also sponsoring, will be called 『Revealed ∞ transient eleMent』 and the other artists performing that night are Ziggrat, Bagii Bogii, Nealco, Hikoboshi, GoDeath, Maccaholic, Desaneck, Litchi, Claust la grace and Mus’ee.

Maccaholic gains new members!

If you remember, back in March the band Maccaholic lost their vocalist and bassist, leaving only two members remaining. However, on April 26th, the band’s new life began and they’re now a five member band!
The members are:
Vocals - ミナト (Minato)
Guitar - ケイ (Kei)
Guitar - カイト (Kaito)
Bass - ミツキ (Mitsuki)
Drums - クロノ (Chrono)
They don’t have any news of a release planned, however they do say that they’re working on doing lives centered around Kansai that if you see once, you won’t forget. Sometimes they’re pop, sometimes they’re violent.
They don’t have photos up quite yet of their new look and new members, but hopefully we’ll see good things from the band! I think that even though they were down to two members, the fact that those two held on and made a rebirth for the band speaks a lot.

This one has good news and bad news to it.
The good news, is that Maccaholic will be organizing their very first event on March 19th at HOLIDAY OSAKA. The event is called 「マカ!?不思議アドベンチャー! ～まっかまかにしてやんよ♪～」 (Maka!? Fushigi Adventure! ～Makka maka ni shite yanyo♪～).
The bands participating will be:
Maccaholic, ダリス (Dhalis), GARЯNA, VIZET-ヴィゼ-, ライラ (Layla), BLUETOPAZ, 洋太 (Youta), MaRiLL and Яe:sk.
The even will open at 4:00, start at 4:30 and cost 2500 yen. (3000 day of).
The band news, however, is that at that very same event both the vocalist つか様 (Tsukasama) and bassist koji will be leaving the band. Therefore the only remaining members will be drummer クロノ (Kurono) and guitarist ケイ (Kei).
