Like absolute myself have announced that they will be releasing a brand new single in 2010!
Details are not yet available, however, the band will be having an Osaka, Nagoya and Tokyo tour where the single will be available for pre-sale. The tour is called 「-Breakthrough of ZERO-」 and the dates and venues are as follows:
February 22nd @ Osaka MUSE
February 23rd @ HeartLand STUDIO
February 25th @ HOLIDAY SHINJUKU
Furthermore, in 2010 the band will be changing their name from 「Like absolute myself」 to the more simple, 「lam.」.

Monstars☆party vol.29

You may remember when I posted about Monstars☆party vol.30 here. Well, before that there will be a Monstars☆party vol.29 on September 25th, also at Takadanobaba AREA. Tickets will cost 2800 in advance and 3300 yen the day of, and have already gone on sale as of August 15th. Playing at the event will be ヴァルナ (Valluna), D’LORE, gaudie., Like absolute myself, 焔 (Homura), Administrator and a session band named Time Section #1, which has an interesting lineup: SIZNA (ex-Sugar) on guitar, Ketchi (KYOUKUTOU GIRLFRIEND) on guitar, HISAKI (cocklobin) on bass, and Atsuto (ex-Sugar) on drums.

Like absolute myself has finally updated their ohp with their new look as a 4 member band. Currently they’re still playing lives and what not. Fingers crossed for a new release though! It has been well over a year since we’ve heard anything new from them.

LAM Loses Kenji

Like absolute myself has announced that their guitarist Kenji will be leaving the band after their final live of their 3-man tour on June 17. This decision was a result of a discussion the band had had. The bands tells the fans that there are a few remaining lives left with all members, so please support them with all your strength. There is no mention of the band disbanding, so rest assured that they will continue on after Kenji’s departure.

Update from Anomie

Last week I posted an introduction of a new band called Anomie. There was a countdown and a date of March 25th marked on the site. Since it’s already the 25th in Japan today, the site has been updated!
The band themselves still have yet to be revealed, but they have announced their first live! The band will be an opening guest for the Like absolute myself sponsored event [-THE LAST DECIPHER-] on April 27th at Takadanobaba AREA!
There is now a new date listed for the timer on the official site. The new date is April 10th. Of course, when that update is made we’ll be sure to let you know!

Like absolute myself’s Big Announcement

If you can recall, Adrienne made a post about the countdown on Like absolute myself’s ohp, the countdown is over and the secret is revealed! Like absolute myself will be holding their own sponsored live on April 27th at AREA entitled “THE LAST DECIPHER”. So with that being said, they are definitely picking up activity again! Also along with this, they will continue to hold lives.
Also, on their blogs it appears that they have been writing and making new songs, so cross your fingers for a new release.

Back in November, Like absolute myself went on an activity pause. Then about a month ago, we reported about the new ameba blogs that each of the member’s had set up.
Well, now if you check out their OHP you’ll see that they are counting down! Looks like the boys are ready to come back to the scene, and more details will be available in just two days (and 13 hours)! Many of the pages on their OHP are currently unavailable (like schedule, and news), but as soon as we find out what’s going on, we’ll be sure you let you know!

Hey everyone, the Big Ern here, wishing you all a very Merry Christmas where ever you are. I hope you all had a wonderful time with family and friends doing whatever it is you do annually. Also, make sure to check for the Christmas Contest results, hopefully tomorrow.
Now of course the Big Ern has had a hectic day with the family, but I took some time out of my busy day to write up a random fact (and to digest my food).
Today’s random fact comes from Like absolute myself’s guitarist Kenji. Kenji was once asked what his favorite saying is and he replied “This is my first time~<3″ I don’t know about you, but that is pretty strange for a favorite saying.
So I ask you readers, what do you think my favorite saying is? And let me know some of yours! The crazier, the better.

Like absolute myself on pause

Like absolute myself has announced that after their remaining lives, on November 17th they will be going on an activity pause. Each of the members have mentioned it in the blog, so here are the main things that they’ve said regarding the decision.
Shina was the first to announce it in their blog, and he said that it’s a positive announcement and that they are looking towards their future.
Kaito has said that he’s a man who keeps his promises and that he will without a doubt, be making a return. He therefore asks that everyone puts their heart and soul into the remaining lives.
Fumi said that there were many fans who cried because of the announcement and he says that the band honestly feels that they have been fortunate. He says from hearing, “we’ll wait for you” he will power-up, and will return to perform in front of everyone again. He also says that he will put all his power into enjoying the remaining lives and hopes the fan will as well.
Mitsuhiko explains that in order to advance as a band, they feel that this break is needed and hopes that everyone can understand. He says that Like absolute myself will continue, so please wait for them. They will continue to evolve. He says he will approach it with all his strength, and take the plunge. He also says that they won’t change (as in, they’ll get better but they’re not going to completely change what they are).
Kenji apologizes for making fans sad due to the announcement, but does say that when he saw everyone’s tear-stained faces, he realized how much they were loved and even though he felt it in his chest, he couldn’t (didn’t want to) cry on stage. He says he was deeply moved and thanks everyone.

One thing I always like knowing is why bands named their band the name they did.
When asked about the meaning of their name, Like absolute myself’s vocalist ミツヒコ (Mitsuhiko) said that if you were to literally translate it, it would mean “complete self-expression” or “being completely yourself”, and therefore the five members of the band using their own ‘filter’, wanted to use a name that represented their music.
Makes sense when you think about it.

Like absolute myself is having their first oneman this July! It’ll happen on the 21st at Meguro Rock May Kan and is called 「模倣表現者-Imitation depicter-」 (Mohou Hougensha).
The live opens at 6:00 starts at 7:00 and costs 2500 yen (or 3000 yen at the door). All those who attend will be given a free demo CD. Tickets go on sale at the livehouse starting June 7th (numbers 1 – 100) and at Like an Edison starting on June 15th (101 – 200).

Like absolute myself’s guitarist Fumi confessed that his motivation to start music was due to the band B’z. He listened to them, and thought that he wanted to become a vocalist! As for visual kei, his motivation to get into the genre was due to Luna Sea and Kuroyume.

Like absolute myself announced the release of a new single a while ago, but back then there were no fine details. We have them now!
The release date is June 4th and it’s a three single titled “ROYAL BLUE”.
The tracklist is:

It’s been a slow weekend here hasn’t it?
Well, I have news of two new releases by two different bands, however, there aren’t many details about them yet. So of course when we get more information, we’ll have to fill you in. But, at least it’s something to mark on your calendar or look forward to if you’re a fan.
First up, is Dolly with their new release coming out on June 25th! The title and tracklist are not yet set, but it will cost 2415 yen which is the same price as their last single, 「クロゼットレター」 (Closet Letter) so we can guess that it’ll likely be something similar. (Three tracks, one DVD … or maybe it’s a five track mini-album? Who knows for sure).
Second is Like absolute myself with their new release coming out on June 4th.
… and that’s all the details I have on that one, haha.

News on Tenten’s new band

As we posted here, Tenten (ex-KuRt) talked about the performance he’d be doing in March, with a new band. However, he didn’t give any details about it because he wanted his blog to reach 30 000 hits.
Today, Visunavi posted a few details.
Tenten’s new band will be performing at the Mixed Candies Vol. 9 event on March 3rd at Takadanobaba Area. The bands listed as performing that night are:
heidi.
ジュリィー (Jully)
ヒトツメ (Hitotsume)
ハッチ (Hucci)
アヲイ (Awoi)
Like absolute myself
And of course, MY BactEriA Heat iSland. Tenten’s brand spanking new band.
The other members, however, have not been announced so we’ll have to wait a bit for that.
Just as a note, I also read the news on someone’s blog while looking up the name, and I just realized that Visunavi doesn’t directly say it’s Tenten’s new band. However, if you go to click on the link for the band’s OHP, it directs you right to his blog.

EDIT: I never even noticed this, but Miku pointed it out that the name is the same words he used on the jewelry that he designed a while ago. Has he been planning this for a while?
