CDJapan is offering a special treat for Kiryu fans!
For customers who buy all three versions – that’s A, B, and C – of Kiryu’s newest single “Kyosei” – out October 26 – by October 17, 2011 10:00:00 (Japan Standard Time GMT+9), CDJapan will include a special limited edition coffee tumbler featuring a group shot of the band.
The tumbler has a capacity of 350ml (or about 12oz, for the SI among us). Downside? The weight of the tumbler will add about 200g to your shipment, which can up your shipping cost anywhere from 500 to 1000yen – yikes!
But I’m sure for Kiryu’s fans, this invaluable collector’s item will be worth the, ahem, weight

Kiryu’s 6th maxi single

己龍 (Kiryu) has announced that they will be releasing their sixth maxi single.
Their new maxi single 鬼祭(Kisai) will be released on July 6th.
It will be available in 3 types. The limited edition with DVD will cost 1890 yen while the other 2 regular editions will cost 1575 yen each.
All types comes with 2 randomly selected trading cards with 10 different cards in total.

B.P.RECORDS has just announced that 己龍 (Kiryu) will be releasing their second full album! The album is called 夢幻鳳影 (Mugen Houei), and will be released in two types on March 2nd.
The limited first press edition will include an 11 track CD and DVD with the PV for the song 夢幻鳳影 (Mugen Houei), while the normal edition will include a 12th, bonus track. Both editions will include two randomly selected trading cards, of ten total. Both editions will also include an application form: Japanese residents who buy both editions can mail both forms in, and will receive a signed pamphlet from the band’s 狂瀾怒涛 (Kyourandotou) tour.
It’s a pretty big step to release a second album only one year after their first! Are you excited?

己龍 (Kiryu) has again some new cool release news for their fans. Their single comes out on October 27th and now they announced a live DVD to be coming too.
DVD is entitled as「狂華乱舞-二〇一○年八月六日渋谷クアトロ単独公演- 〈初回限定盤〉」(Kyoukaranbu – 2010 August 6th Shibuya Quattro oneman- [limited edition]) and will come out December 8th. It costs 4,980 yen.

己龍 (Kiryu) will be releasing a brand-new maxi-single on October 27th!

Phantasmagoria MEMORIAL TRIBUTE NIGHT

Back in April, we talked about Karen’s one day revival live that was happening on August 31st at Umeda SHANGRILA in an event hosted by UCP called 「SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010」.
Well, more details about the event have been released!
The event’s full title is 「SUMMER MASQUERADE 2010」～Phantasmagoria MEMORIAL TRIBUTE NIGHT～, and on that night each band playing will be performing a song by Phantasmagoria.
The bands and artists performing will be as follows:

A bit more than a month after 「明鏡止水」 (Meikyou Shisui) has been released, 己龍 (Kiryu) has announced that they would soon be releasing their 4th maxi-single ! Entitled 「水無桜」 (Minazakura), it will go on sale on June 23rd so we still have quite some time before we can actually get our hands on it, but we already have most details.

Nega fifth anniversary live event

ネガ (Nega) announced that they will be holding an event on April 30th, 2010 at Shibuya O-WEST to celebrate their fifth anniversary. Entitled 「The Counting Song of the XXX 」 performing along with Nega will be spiv states, 平成維新 (Heisei Ishin), ケミカルピクチャーズ (Chemical Pictures), 己龍 (Kiryuu), ベルベット (VelBet), DragonWAPPPPPPER, Zip.er, amber gris, and LuLu. Tickets will cost 3500 yen in advance and 4000 the day of and go on sale February 6th. Those who come to see Nega will be given a present at the live!

UCP 7 Year Anniversary Event

UNDER CODE is celebrating seven years in 2010, and will be holding an event called 「地下線7周年記念祭」 (Chikasen 7 Year Anniversary) on March 13th at OSAKA MUSE.
The bands performing that night will be ネガ (Nega), 平成維新 (Heisei Ishin), Megaromania, ClearVeil, Arc and Dali as well as special guests, Seven, spiv states, 愛狂います。(Aicle.) and 己龍 (Kiryuu).
The event will cost 4000 yen to attend, and tickets go on sale starting January 9th.
The celebrations don’t stop there, the day after on March 14th, UCP will also be holding an anniversary session event at ESAKA MUSE. Both bands and session bands will be playing that night, and the full-time bands performing are: spiv states, カル・ヴァリ (Kalvary), アイギス (Aigis), E’m~grief~, シンディケイト (CINDY&KATE) and Synside.

Oh great thrill when I saw that ! I guess some of you will share that reaction with me ! 己龍 (Kiryu) is going to release a new single ! Five months after their previous release (朱ク散ル僕ノ蒼 – Akaku Chiru Boku no Ao), the band’s new single will be called 「月ノ姫」 (Tsuki no Hime – Moon Princess) and will go on sale on October 21st.
The single will be available in three different versions as follows :
Type A (2100 yen) :
1. 月ノ姫 (Tsuki no Hime)
2. B track (Title yet to be revealed)
+ a DVD containing the PV and its making-of for the title-song.
Type B (2100 yen) :
1. 月ノ姫 (Tsuki no Hime)

One cool thing about some bands, is that some will randomly have a member who knows a thing or two about design. Takemasa of Kiryu has made some of their flyers, I think he has even designed their logo! Such talent! Do you know who else designs? Tara ex 176biz/Panic Channel and Ryonai of Blam Honey. Actually Ryonai has his own design company!

Today’s random fact, is about Hiyori from Kiryu. He says that the one thing he can boast about is that he’s never lost a match of……. thumb wrestling.
If I had opposable thumbs I would challenge that claim!
