Even though it’s bad news, thanks to rana for the heads up on this one!
JIVE has announced that on March 13th after their oneman at Ikebukuro CYBER entitled 「an ending of swing & a sing song」 they will be putting an end to their activities, and disbanding.
They said that after their second oneman live, 「CALL ME BOOGIE」 that took place last year, they had urgent meetings regarding the future of the band, and the members were each consciously making an effort to raise the standard of the band.
However, it was around the same time when they realized the member’s had a difference in opinion music wise, and with each meeting this difference became more and more clear. As the activities in the band became increasingly more difficult, they made the agonizing choice to end the band’s activities altogether.
They feel that there will probably be some fans who are surprised at the circumstances, and are unable to understand, as well as fans who are feeling confused. However, their decision was a result of the four members worrying and worrying about what would happen.
They hope that the fans can understand their decision, and even though their activity time was short, they are grateful to all the fans and staff who have supported them.

Ren Leaves JIVE

According to Kirio’s blog, JIVE’s drummer Ren had left the band on November 10th due to mixed emotions. He had mentioned that they’ve been having problems since August and numerous discussions about this and eventually they had come to the decision that he should leave.
JIVE plans on continuing with their schedule using a support drummer. All the members apologize for this and want to make sure that their fans know. They will continue as 4 people and hope to become a new JIVE for every one.
Ren will be posting his comment on the official site some time soon, so stay tuned for that.

The random fact of today is brought to you by Gou from the band JIVE.
If you visit his profile you will note he has a special skill listed. What is that special skill? It is that he can walk a reasonably long distance.
…
Now only one thing comes to mind when I read that. Would that even count as a special skill?
I would like to take this time to inform our readers of my special skill. What is my special skill? Pole dancing. Watch the bunny go.

瞬介 (Shunsuke) from bis who just disbanded on January 13th, is already continuing on with activities! He’s holding an event called 「維新回天 Vol.1」 (Ishin Kaiten Vol.1) or “Monumental Task of Restoration Vol 1.”.
This event will take place on March 2nd at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU, opens at 4:30 starts at 5:00.
Now, Shunsuke himself won’t be performing, but he’s organizing the event.
The bands that are performing are:
Pure Q&A
SectMa
キャンゼル (Canzel)
つかさ (Tsukasa) (ex-bis) – Session band
ジッパー (Zip.er)
JIVE
And others.
Tickets go on sale starting on February 9th at HOLIDAY SHINJUKU and Ticket Pia.
Shunsuke wrote in the Holiday blog about it, and he says that Tsukasa’s session band will surely be awesome, haha. No pressure Tsukasa, no pressure.
In regard to him not actually performing, he says that he’ll see through the young power who are changing this era and that it’s a revolution. There’s a long way to go before the world will be transformed, and that lately he feels like even though they’re young, they’re hot guys who stay hot through thick and thin. He says that they’ll probably change the scene. It’s not a mistake.
Sounds … intense doesn’t it? Haha. Of course he doesn’t mean it in a bad way and it’s pretty cool that he’s hosting this event.
