It is announced yesterday that jealkb will be releasing a new album.
This will be their full album in 2 years and their 2nd Major album.
This album titled [Invade] will be releasing on Feb 9th 2011.

Karasu releasing 2nd single

Do you guys still remember カラス (Karasu), super unit project by Tatsurou? They perfomed again at Jack in the Box event and announced a second single release!
The new single is entitled as 「free」. It will come out October 27th in two types, limited edition costs 1,800 yen and includes again a DVD with music clip and regular edition which costs 1,200 yen. The song from the release will be used as opening theme for new anime of Asahi TV, 「バトルスピリッツ ブレイヴ」 (Battle Spirits Brave).

jealkb’s new single

Even though jealkb lost two of their members recently, the band is going on and will present a new single soon!
Not much information is available so far, but the single will be released in July 30th and cost 1,050 yen. It is said to be a rebirth of the band and a happy song, so let’s look forward for it.

On January 18th, jealkb updated their site with the following announcement regarding both chaos and mofto leaving the band in April.
Thank you for continuing to support jealkb.
We have some information for everyone.At this time, it has been decided that the jealkb members, who everyone has always cheered on, chaos and mofto, will be leaving the band after the final show on our jealkb LIVE HOUSE TOUR 2009 – 2010 “Ibara no Michi” which started back in November.
We first made this announcement in front of our fans during our live on January 18th at Kanagawa Sun Phoenix Hall.
The tour will continue until April. The seven members will continue on until the end of the tour with all their power, so as you have been all this time, please continue to support us.
jealkb will continue on afterwards with five members.
Only jealkb can be jealkb, and because make our own unique style of music, always aim to put on performances that our fans can enjoy, and day after day continue to put forth a great amount of effort, we will be blessed if you can continue to warmly watch over us.
Please continue to show us your support.Furthermore, our leaving members, chaos (Kanenari Kiminobu, formerly of Hello, Byebye) and mofto (Kikuchi Kenichi) will be making a new combination, and they will work hard to press on into the comedy scene.
Please support them.
They have decided that the name for their combination will be 「ギンナナ」 (Ginn Nana).jealkb will release a new single, 「make magic」 on January 20th. We will also be releasing a our first photo collection, 「narcists」 on January 22nd.
To all those who have been supporting us, we would have liked to tell you each one by one first hand, however, we are sorry for having to make this sort of announcement.
Please continue to cheer on jealkb, who from now on will continue to meet new challenges and evolve.

Merry and jealkb featured on tribute album

Merry and jealkb will be featured on a 25th anniversary tribute album for The Blue Hearts, a punk band that was popular in the late ’80s and early ’90s, released on February 24th. Merry will be recording the song 皆殺しのメロディ (Minagoroshi no Melody/Massacre Melody) from the album ‘High Kicks’ and jealkb will be recording the song 少年の詩 (Shounen no Uta/Boy’s Song) from the album ‘The Blue Hearts’. First press will cost 3000 yen and regular press will cost 2800 yen.

A movie starring Ninjaman Japan

There’s a new V.A. (Various Artists) release that’s coming out on December 1st called 「ニンジャマンジャパン 緊急指令！Bijuを救え！の巻」 (Ninjaman Japan Kinkyuu Shirei! Biju wo Sukue! no Kan).
What is it? Well, it’s a “thrilling movie starring Ninjaman Japan”. The movie is an action story, and wonderfully incorporates a ‘course’ on ‘how to enjoy visual kei’.
The DVD will also feature four Ninjaman Japan songs and PVs, as well as interviews that reveal the original story, full coverage of their filming location, a bloopers reel, as well as interviews.

jealkb’s 6th single and 1st collection

jealkb have announced that on January 20th they will be releasing their six single, called 「makemagic」!
It will be a two track release, with the B-side song entitled, 「キワダタサレタ美貌」 (Kiwadatasareta Bibou).
According to the band, 「makemagic」 is a positive song, that has the message, “Let’s try our best at putting on our make-up, becoming pretty, and facing forward!”.
Those who buy the first press edition, will receive a lottery ticket for a chance to win a backstage pass to jealkb’s LIVE TOUR 2009 – 2010, 「異薔薇ノ未知」 (Ibara no Michi). This applies to the lives from January 21st onward.
The band will also be releasing their first photo collection on January 18th! Apparently it will be a selection of photos from shower scenes, and 14 days worth of lives.

カラス (Karasu) is a new neo visual kei “super unit” that has a very interesting composition of musicians!
The line-up for the project is:
Vocals - 逹瑯 (Tatsurou) [from MUCC]
Guitar - ヒロト (Hiroto) [from Alice 9]
Guitar - 美月 (Mizuki) [from Sadie]
Bass - dunch [from jealkb]
Drums - ケンゾ (Kenzo) [from Ayabie]
Originally, the band was meant to only be a one night jam session, organized by the vocalist, Tatsurou. However, they now are like a crow, which has grown and expanded, and is spreading its wings.
They first performed on August 15th at the MAVERICK DC GROUP PRESENTS JACK IN THE BOX 2009 SUMMER live. They played two cover songs, as well as their original number, 「LASTICA」, which you can hear a sample of on their official MySpace.
For three months after their performance, the band has been busy “underwater” recording, and this November have brought 「LASTICA」 back to the scene with their 「LASTICA Studio ver.」. They are adding the finishing touches to the song which is catchy, and has an industrial sound with passionate lyrics, perfectly appropriate for “neo visual kei”.
Is ‘Karasu’ (which means ‘crow’) something that will fly away and disappear? Or, is it something magnificent, willful, that will suddenly and unexpected swoop down on you? From here on, you will not be able to take your eyes away from their activities.
So if you haven’t already, make sure you add them on MySpace to show your support!

MySpace Japan 2nd Anniversary

MySpace Japan is coming up on their 2nd Anniversary and to celebrate, they’re holding four concerts spanning November 27th to the 30th.
Most interesting to fans of visual bands are the 28th and 29th.
Performing on the 28th at Shibuya C.C Lemon Hall are Aural Vampire, HANGRY & ANGRY, GaGaalinG and mimika.
On the 29th, once again at C.C. Lemon Hall are jealkb, Doremidan, GaGaalinG and more.
Tickets per show cost 4500 yen.

jealkb will be releasing their first major full length album on November 26th! The title will be 「狼煙 -NOROSHI-」 and the first press will cost 3500 yen whereas the regular press is 2800 yen.
It’s a twelve track album and the first press comes with a DVD that contains the PVs for their four major singles, 「誓い」 (Chikai), 「Fly」, 「花」 (Hana) and 「嘆きのエンドレス」 (Nageki no Endless) plus the offshot footage, “Making of SIngle Clips”.

Sony Magazines CATCH BON has put up for preordering Antic Cafe, Gackt and jealkb calendars!
The Antic Cafe one is 3000 yen, B3 size and is thirteen pages.
jealkb, is 3500 yen, also B3 size and thirteen pages.
Gackt you can have for a little less, as his is B2 size, 2900 yen and only seven pages.

Individual Fashion Expo IV

On September 23rd Onejuku is presenting the Individual Fashion Expo IV at JCB Hall, supported by KERA. The models will be wearing clothes by brands such as ALGONQUINS, Angelic Pretty, Baby * The Stars Shine Bright*, BLACK PEACE NOW, Emily Temple cute, Metamorphose, Sixh., Sexy Dynamite London, HANGRY AND ANGRY, Victorian maiden, SUPER LOVERS and others.
Participating in the show (and the reason I’m posting it here) are members from both Plastic Tree and jealkb, as well as the Mana produced artist, Wakeshima Kanon. The artists will be showing off their individual fashion styles.
For those wanting to attend the show, the tickets are 2000 yen for the arena and 1500 yen for first and second balcony.

the studs three new singles and tour

In the first fifteen days of October, the studs have announced that they’ll be releasing three different singles! The first is called 「クリーピークローリー」 (Creepy Crawly) and will be out on October 1st. The next is out on October 8th and entitled 「あの音」 (Ano Oto) and the final one will come out on the 15th and will be called 「帳」 (Tobari). Each of the singles will cost 1575 yen.
They are planning an instore event for those who purchase all three releases as well as shop specific special favours. Each of the singles is also coupled with a live recording of one of the songs from their 2008 tour, 「桜の棘」 (Sakura no Toge). And they do make sure to point out that the coupling songs are different on each single.
Along with the release of the new singles, they’ll be having a oneman tour and organizing an event! (They’ll be busy this autumn!). The oneman is called 「Tour’08 creepy crawly」 and kicks off in October, covering seven places around Japan:
October 31st @ Hook SENDAI
November 2nd @ Thundersnake Atsugi
November 5th @ Kanazawa van van V4
November 8th @ Shinsaibashi CLUB DROP

jealkb will be releasing a fourth single entitled 【嘆きのエンドレス】 (Nageki no Endless). It will be released on October 22nd. The title song of the single will also be featured as the opening song for the upcoming anime 【北斗の拳 ラオウ外伝 天の覇王】 (Hokuto no Ken Raou Gaiden Ten no Haou).
