Release date change for Sequence Records’ VA

Seems like there was an error on the new Sequence Records VA and now the release date has been pushed back. Instead of being released on December 29th of this year, we’ll have to wait another month for the release! New date for release is on January 26th. We first talked about the release over here.

New omnibus from Sequence Records

Indie label Sequence Records will be having its 10th anniversary soon and has decided to release an omnibus to celebrate. The omnibus is called FINAL SUMMIT, and will be released on December 29th.
The two-disc release will collect songs (including some SE tracks) from the many artists that Sequence Records has signed or supported over the years. It seems that all of the songs will be previously-released ones, but they will be remastered. In addition to some as-yet unannounced ones, participating artists include:

GallowS disbands

Thanks to everyone who has sent this in.
GallowS have announced that on July 27th, they will be disbanding.
The sentiments between the members were pretty much the same, so the following is a translation of Kaede’s blog:
We, the girl’s band GallowS will be disbanding on July 27th after our live at Meguro Rock Maykan.
We are truly grateful to all of the fans that have been cheering us on until now, and to everyone connected to the band for their support.
Thank you.
Even if I think about it now, I don’t know if we were together for a short time or a
long time, but I truly feel glad to have been part of GallowS.
I feel that I’ve been blessed to work with these truly good members, the staff and the fans.
We’ve climbed over many wells together, but now, we’ve decided to take different paths.
This decision is not a result of coming to a wall that we couldn’t get past, but it’s something that takes us to the other side of the wall.
Even if you say, “the other side of the wall”, it’s been decided and it’s not something where we just want something that has another flavor to it, so don’t get me wrong.
There are members who will continue in music from here on, so they will definitely be performing in front of you again, so at that time, please warmly cheer them on.
Please support them.
Information about the member’s future activities after the disbandment will be available on our blogs and the OHP, so please check it out.
With all that’s been said, let’s all – the members, staff and fans, finish off with a smile.
Let’s bless our next departure by already laughing.

GallowS’ new site and look

The girls have a new site, logo and new look! So far the site is pretty empty but you can see their new look over at their myspace. They also have a new tone to describe their sound – Digital Pop Quintet. The band also has a few lives lined up for the new year including a few events with Planet Child. They also have a new release called FEEL+GROW which is set to come out on March 10th. Release is 2,100 yen.

MORE Sequence Records news! They are hosting an event called CATEGORAIZ type.15 at Rockmaykan. The event will be on October 23rd and the band line up includes: GallowS, ValRoss, missconduct, BLADE and more! Tickets are 2,500 if you get before hand and 3,000 at the door.

GallowS announced on their OHP that due to more than three of their members getting the new string of influenza, they have to cancel their live on the 30th.
They apologize, but due to it’s contagious nature, they feel that this is best for all of their fans.
They also hope that they’ll be ready to go at their next live, on September 9th.

On June 20, 2009 PRIMEADDICT will be sponsoring a live event titled 『FIGHT FOR YOURSELF #002』 at Shibuya O-Crest. This is set to be a very interesting event as it will be featuring an opening act ぷらいむあでぃ娘 (Puraimuadei Musume) as well as performances by PRIMEADDICT, D’LORE, PANIC☆Ch, GallowS, and Fenrir. Then, the last event will be all the bands joining together as a session band. Tickets will cost 2500 yen.

There’s a new omnibus album coming out on May 10th called 『 -無限大∞感染-』 (Mugendai ∞ Kansen; Infinity∞Infection)! It iwll feature eleven bands: AibeLL, Art Cube, GallowS, シネマストリップ (Cinema Strip), Since1889, チーキィ (Cheeky), デンジャー☆ギャング (Danger☆Gang), 水樂 (Byakura), Venus, 焔 (Homura) and Rubik.
The CD will be on sale at livehouses starting April 18th at the Z & S Coupling Tour by the same name, which is sponsored by Zёnit Music Factory Co.Ltd. ＆ Sequence Records:
April 18th @ HOLIDAY OSAKA
April 19th @ HOLIDAY NAGOYA
April 25th @ Yokohama FORCE
May 3rd @ Meguro Rock Maykan
May 10th @ Urawa Narciss (Tour Final)
Tickets go on sale starting March 1st.
They’re also planning something kind of cool with Danger Gang, Homura and Cinema Strip. Twenty-five lucky fans will have a chance to go on a ‘bus tour’ with the bands, to their lives on April 18th in Osaka and on the 19th in Nagoya.
The party will travel from Tokyo (taking a night bus) and arrive in Osaka at 10:00am on April 18th. There will be a few hours of free time, then the event. After the live, participants will go bathing in a health spa. After that, everyone will head to Nagoya, where again there will be free time, followed by the performance, and then back to Tokyo.
Those who want to participate must register between February 25th and March 20th. The cost is 18900 yen (which covers the bus cost ONLY) and will only be held if there is a minimum of 20 people going.

GallowS joins Sequence Records

Tomozo has been hinting about signing GallowS since November and now the band has officially joined the label! Also Tomozo made some lineup changes on the artist section of the label’s site. You can see +ISOLATION, Koro and exist†trace are now gone. He has a new project called ESCAPE as well. I guess we’ll have to wait to see what ESCAPE is but I am excited!
