CURE just announced that MYM of the soon to be disbanded GaGaalinG will be performing at Anime Boston. She will be performing solo but sounds like it will be an amazing event. This is her LAST performance for her US fans so I hope people will get a chance to catch her!
The model/singer will be at the con on April 2nd-4th – its coming up fast, will you be there? Too bad this band is disbanding, they are really great!

GaGaalinG sent out a new edition of their mail magazine the other day with an important announcement to all their fans — they will be disbanding on July 17th.
The following is a translation of what was written in the magazine:
To those of you who always support us,
On July 27th after our oneman live at Takadanobaba CLUB PHASE, GaGaalinG will be putting an end to their activities.From last year until now, the members, producer and staff had numerous discussions about GaGaalinG’s activities, our music and also the member’s individual thoughts. As a result, we realized that the members each had different opinions on where GaGaalinG should go after this, and we therefore decided to end our activities.
After July 17th, the members will also carry on down their own paths, but we hope that you will continue to warmly watch over us.
Being part of GaGaalinG, being able to meet everyone, and sharing this amazing time with you is something that we will always treasure.
Our lives from March 20th ~ July 17th will be the same as always.
One by one, we’ll take on the challenge to make each live the best it can be.
To everyone who’s cheer us on,
with feelings of gratitude, together,

The radio program The Break～アメリカ村インディーズ～ (Amerika Mura Indies) that is broadcasted on アメリカ村TV (Amerika Mura TV), has posted GaGaaling’s appearance on their show up on YouTube! There’s a short introduction by the members, as well as some interview questions. Even if you’re not a fan, it’s a fun video to watch.

MySpace Japan 2nd Anniversary

MySpace Japan is coming up on their 2nd Anniversary and to celebrate, they’re holding four concerts spanning November 27th to the 30th.
Most interesting to fans of visual bands are the 28th and 29th.
Performing on the 28th at Shibuya C.C Lemon Hall are Aural Vampire, HANGRY & ANGRY, GaGaalinG and mimika.
On the 29th, once again at C.C. Lemon Hall are jealkb, Doremidan, GaGaalinG and more.
Tickets per show cost 4500 yen.

For November 5th, HearJapan has two very special visual-kei releases for the fans. The first being the new GaGaalinG mini-album entitled Alice (http://www.hearjapan.com/store/album_info/ALICE). Alice is packed with 4 new songs and completes another addition to HearJapan’s visual-kei catalog thanks to all the user support we have been getting. It is also a shift to a major label, UP-FRONT WORKS, and HearJapan is the first store that UP-FRONT will sell in the mp3 format in its history. While HearJapan will soon be featuring more and more big name artists in the near future through legal downloads, HearJapan will still shine the spotlight on a lot of the great up and coming artists rising up out of Japan.
On November 5th, our other Visual-kei release will focus the light on one such band. Although almost everything about the band is a dark secret, HearJapan is letting a little light shine through by offering their debut single on HearJapan for free. That’s right. All you have to do is register to HearJapan and download Kuroi Taiyou (http://www.hearjapan.com/store/album_info/Kuroi_Taiyou) by XodiacK (http://www.hearjapan.com/store/group/XodiacK) . This free single will only be offered in a limited time so make sure you pick it up while it is still available. The single will be taken down once the band reveals themselves to the world. HearJapan also has another visual-kei related announcement. HearJapan has officially changed its policy in regards to upcoming visual-kei releases. Before we would only add an album to our list once we had the songs and album artwork to upload. This let everyone sample the music before it came out to help their purchasing decision. However many users requested a form to preorder the album months in advance. We are now offering the ability to do this. We are starting with the upcoming D’espairsRay single “HORIZON” (http://www.hearjapan.com/store/album_info/Horizon). You can preorder it now one month in advance for 10% off the normal price.
We know that especially for XodiacK, a lot of people were commenting on how they were looking forward to them and here’s your chance!

The past few years we have seen a sudden boom of the Japanese Culture in America. For example; anime, music, fashion and technology. When someone initially analyzes a band, they usually first notice what style of clothing they are wearing. From there on they can tell whether or not the band is a certain kind of genre. In the music business, fashion is one of the factors that decides whether a band is going to be successful or not. What we want to showcase is not just the fact that clothes make the band, but the band embodies and defines the fashion that also helps define them.

Seems like GaGaalinG will be coming to Anime Expo 2008!! The band will be opening the 2nd annual BATTLE OF THE BANDS contest. They will be performing on July 3rd!!
They are really busy these days, because Royal Stranger, their new album will be sold in Europe! Dates are as followed:

On May 29th, there’s an event called “Visu-Annite#01″ going down at Astro-Hall in Harajuku. The event has band performances, a DJ, VJ, dancers and a fashion show! So there’s definitely a lot going on.
The bands that will be playing that night are:
Aka-Neko (Inugami-Kyoko & Inugami-Jouji), NaRu-Project, A.Q.U.A, Pure Q&A, Spider Dennou Mellow, Aural Vampire, GaGaaling, Daizy Stripper and there’s also a Secret Special Gest GIG!
The DJs are Takuya Angel, KERWIN and Raveman (Aural Vampire). The VJ is Eizou-Kumikyouku. Performances by Satsuki and Hime. Dancers are Roccka (AUTO-MOD), Mari and Vivi (From Naru Project).
And of course, you have the Takuya Angel models which include:

As we posted back in February, on March 26th GaGaalinG released a full album in Japan called “ROYAL STRANGER”.
Now, as posted on the SC24 blog,
GaGaaling’s third album ‘Royal Stranger‘ is released in European eighteen countries on 13th June, 2008!
