It will be entitled 「Over Technology」and will go on sale on December 8th for 2415 yen. More details to follow.

Sakurai Ao + Sharaku + Sasabuchi Hiroshi form a new band

This is in my opinion one of the best news in a while! There is a new band, which will consist of 3 amazing angura kei musicians:

Vocal: シャラク (Sharaku) || ex. メトロノム (Metronome), now in FLOPPY
Guitar: 桜井青 (Sakurai Ao) || ex. cali≠gari, now in LAB. THE BASEMENT
Drums: ササブチヒロシ (Sasabuchi Hiroshi) || ex. Plastic Tree

The band’s name isn’t decided yet (they’re temporarily called 【　　　】), but I believe it will be announced at their first live on June 26th at Shinjuku LOFT. The tickets cost 4000 yen in advance and 4500 yen at the door.

I have talked about FLOPPY’s album 「PROTOSCIENCE」 some time ago, but now the tracklist is finally available, so here you go:

What is more, the band has updated another clip to their youtube after a few-months-long break and I think it’s worth seeing it. It contains footage from their live held on the 20th of November 2009 at Shibuya CLUB QUATTRO.

FLOPPY’s new mini-album

It seems that FLOPPY are really busy lately! They’re planning to release a new mini-album on the 17th of March entitled 「PROTOSCIENCE」. It will contain 8 songs and cost 2310 yen. Further details to come.

The duo now have opened up a personal twitter account for themselves. You can follow each member now! Add Toda here and Sharaku over here. They both only have 145 followers so add them!

FLOPPY full album!

Some very good news for FLOPPY fans! They’re going to release a long-awaited album on the 16th of September. It’s going to be titled 「Deus ex machina」 and cost approximately 2520 yen.

What’s more, they set up their own MySpace, where you can listen to few song samples! They decided to held few more lives in the near future, but apparently all of them are sold out already.

Isn’t it exciting? I am so glad they’re becoming more and more active.

First of all, FLOPPY just announced a news address of their OHP, which is now located at http://www.floppy-web.com. The old one will be shut down soon.

What’s more though, they band will be releasing the new single titled 「everything」on the 18th of April, which is a live-sold only single, but will be avalaible as a digital single for oversea fans in may or june.

The band is also getting a profile on JapanFiles.com, which is a site promoting Japanese music overseas.

That’s exciting, isn’t it?
