*Important Announcement*
Thank you very much for always supporting DuelJewel.
At this time we have an important announcement for everyone.
This is DuelJewel, which has worked vigorously on its own lives and music releases since separation from affiliated office SWORD last year.
Regarding recent activity, Vo. Hayato had come to complain of the poor and unusual condition of his throat.
The result of examination by a medical specialist was advice of “Considering future activities, Hayato should temporarily refrain from activity and devote himself to treatment” from the doctor.
In regard to this matter, as a result of having had repeated talks with all members, it has been decided that Hayato will be made to receive temporary medical treatment up until the Luminous Tour Final at Shibuya O-EAST on February 17, 2012.
In relation to activities for the duration of this treatment, there was a feeling of a strong will from all members, including Hayato, such that they “don’t want to cease DuelJewel’s activities”.
As a result, it has been determined
The March 4, 2012 performance at Takadanobaba AREA and activities after will be continued by four members without Hayato.
Furthurmore, it is difficult to clearly state the timing of Hayato’s return at the present time. While it is based on the state of recovery from ongoing medical treatment and talking with doctors, we would like to inform all fans later on.
Though it is a sudden report and may cause a great deal of inconvenience and worry, we would like to ask for understanding from all supporting fans as well as related parties.
As it is the intention to make the best effort possible to be able to resume activities in the perfect condition of five members, please continue to offer your unchanging support from here on.

In simple terms, the band will continue activities with all five members up through the Luminous Tour Final, while Hayato receives on-the-go treatment. However, after this concert, activities will continue with only four members, minus Hayato.

It’s been a while since their last single release but according to brand-x, Duel Jewel will release a new maxi-single which is called [Vamp Ash] and will be released on March 16th in two different types. TYPE A comes with [Vamp Ash] PV and it costs 1575 Yen, TYPE B comes with DVD including footage from their live on October 2nd at Shibuya O-WEST.

This is what I call an amazing piece of news! It seems there will be a new cover omnibus album and a really cool one, I have to admit! Current Visual Kei bands are going to cover some of the biggest hits from the 90′s from the VK scene. Doesn’t it sound awesome?

This is great news for European fans. DuelJewel will be having a Europe only release coming up titled We Will Melt You. Gan-shin has the following details:
DuelJewel: Exclusive album will be released in Europe!
Soon Gan-Shin will release the exclusive DuelJewel album „We Will Melt You“ all over Europe, which is a perfect example of DuelJewel’s musical versatility: Melodic mid-tempo songs alternate with banging rock-symphonies.
“We Will Melt You” will be released on the 17.09.2010 and there’s no doubt that DuelJewel will melt the hearts of their European fans as well!

We have already talked about ダウト (D=OUT) joining Indie PSC and about the fact that they have planned to release a single and a DVD under new label. Finally there are more details about both of them! But first of all, let me show you the band’s new look:
The single will be entitled 「サイケデリコ∞サイケデリコ」(Psychedelico∞Psychedelico) and will go on sale on October 8th in three types, two limited ones for 1890 and a regular one, which will cost 1575 yen:

SWORD Records Signs Licensing Agreement with Maru Music

Maru Music has recently sent over some great news! Check it out:
[Los Angeles, CA] Maru Music (Los Angeles, CA) and Sword Records (Tokyo, Japan) have signed an exclusive licensing agreement for albums and official merchandise in North America. This agreement will allow fans to have much greater access to their favorite bands’ music and merchandise without having to pay import prices.
The first three bands scheduled for release include D’espairsRay, Vidoll and DuelJewel. In addition to releasing products, Maru Music is hopeful it will be able to provide an infrastructure for Sword bands to tour in North America.

Matenrou Opera’s Yo and DuelJewel’s collaboration

Now, this is cool! Matenrou Opera’s Yo and DuelJewel’s Shun, Natsuki and Yuya have decided to team up with MOKICHI to design some interesting accessories.
The important thing is that it’s limited sale, it has begun on the 4th of February at 12:00 and will last until the 8th, 12:00.
There are few types of accessories you can buy. First of them are cute bear charms, each costing 2100 yen. These red heart and bear charms are signed by the respective member. They’re a limited time offer for Valentine’s day, and can be attached to a cell phone or bag. Even though Yo has a ‘cool’ image, this time around he chose a pop-style yellow bear. The chic brown bear fits Shun’s image perfectly. The cute, pink bear matches Yuya’s character, which everyone loves. For Natsuki, the white bear and pearl chain are suitable for his image. (The bears mentioned in the order they appear below)
Next type of accessories are scrunchies! Each costs 2280 yen. Shun’s scrunchie (first left) is a limited item which was made for his birthday. It has a ‘gorgeous’ white flower, Shun’s pick, as well as his birthstone, amethyst. It was made from Shun’s heart, to all of the fans who support him. There are two colours; silver and gold which refers to the plating around the amethyst. Next two are designed by Yo, who has created a scrunchie that features a cute charm and chain. The scrunchie has a prominent purple flower which suits Yo’s image. There are two types, one with a star charm and another with a cross charm. Both types of charms contain Yo’s signature.

Okay, so Ernie updated the other day with a Gackt random fact of the day about Ni~ya being in the new Gackt pv. Hey, he is popular on random fact (I think Ernie has a secret crush on him…poor Yanni ;o;). Anyway, thanks to all of those comments about who else will be in the pv!! The main HP for Gackt does indeed list the other guys who will appear. And wow is it a cool line up!

You know how on most band OHP’s they have the option to go into the PC OHP or the OHP set up for mobile devices? There have been countless times I have accidentally hit the mobile OHP but today I did it on purpose and stumbled upon something great!
It’s a live titled VJ-3 HALLOWEEN PARTY 1st and will be held at none-other than HEAVEN’S ROCKさいたま新都心VJ-3 [HEAVEN'S ROCK Saitama Shintoshin VJ-3], hence the VJ-3 in the title. The line up includes Duel Jewel, everset, the Underneath and lynch. Tickets will cost 3800 yen in advance and 4300 the day of, going on sale September 13th. Interestingly enough however, the live date is set for October 30th, not Halloween day!
Oh, and in case you were wondering whose OHP it was, it was lynch. They now have a mobile site set up!!

Shun’s Guitar Clinic

DuelJewel’s guitarist, Shun, will be hosting his section guitar clinic on September 13th in collaboration with Combat Guitars!
Shun will be using songs off DuelJewel’s newest album, “REVIVE” as the focal point, and giving all those who participate pointers and tips for playing and composing. At the clinic they will also be selling original goods as well as taking reservations to buy one of the limited numbers of one of Shun’s signature model guitars.
On the 13th there will be a total of four time slots:
12:00pm – 1:30pm (Recommended for Beginners)
2:30pm – 4:00pm (Recommended for Experienced Players)
5:00pm – 6:30pm (Recommended for Beginners)
7:30pm – 9:00pm (Recommended for Beginners)
The first and third are already full, and they recently added the fourth, so it seems like it went well the first time!
On the day of the clinic, for each time spot they will divide those attending into different teams. I translated it, because I thought it would be interesting to any fans and guitarists to know, and I’ve always wanted to know what goes on in these clinics!
Beginner’s Team A
Will learn the backing of the bridge and intro , as well as the A melody backing to the song 「月と戯れ」 (Tsuki to Tawamure).
For people who have a guitar and have held a guitar, but can’t play.
For those who cannot read TABS and so forth; this is the “Kindest” team.
Beginner’s Team B
Will learn the special chord stroke of the bridge and intro to 「月と戯れ」 (Tsuki to Tawamure) (Shun’s Part), as well as the A melody and power chord riffs (Yuya’s part)
Aimed to those who have some chord knowledge, can sing and play, and want to study the differences in chord strokes.
Beginner’s Team C
Will learn the arpeggio part of the bridge and intro to 「月と戯れ」 (Tsuki to Tawamure) (Yuya’s Park), as well as the A melody and obbligato phrases (Shun’s part).
Aimed to those who have some chord knowledge, can sing and play, have an interest in arpeggios and want to be challenged by somewhat difficult phrases.
Experienced Players Team
Practice practical phrases used in DuelJewel’s songs.
Geared towards those who are already in a band, or like to play in copy bands.
There is a wide range in the degree of difficulty for this course, and it is for those who honestly have a firm foundation on guitar playing.
The cost is 4500 yen, which includes the clinic fee as well as a pick. Those who have their own guitar are asked to bring them, however, the clinic is for beginners as well. So, people who haven’t learned to really play yet can also participate.

SCUBER DIVE is an important Visual Kei event that’s been created two years ago, back in 2007. This event takes place both in Tokyo and Osaka, usually on the same day(s) and it gathers a lot of popular indie bands in different live houses of both cities. And it seems the two first editions were a success as the program of this year’s SCUBER DIVE has been revealed !
Like it was already the case last year, the SCUBER DIVE is split in two part, one in Osaka (Naniwa) and one in Tokyo (Shibuya). So, those of you who are lucky enough to be in Japan in that period should definitly go ! Hard choice though !
The timetable has yet to be revealed precisely, but it will be hold on July 31st and August 3rd, and here are the bands that are going to perform this year (more details on the timetable as soon as possible)
