Doremidan disbanding & 10th anniversary tour

ドレミ團 (Doremidan) announced that they will be disbanding on March 20th 2012 after their last live.
However, prior to the disbanding, the band will be celebrating their 10th anniversary with their last tour.

The single will be released on July 6th and it will come in 2 types: the regular edition & the with DVD limited edition.

This is what I call an amazing piece of news! It seems there will be a new cover omnibus album and a really cool one, I have to admit! Current Visual Kei bands are going to cover some of the biggest hits from the 90′s from the VK scene. Doesn’t it sound awesome?
The album will be entitled「CRUSH! -90′s V-Rock best hit cover songs-」. It will go on sale on January 26th for 3000 yen. The tracklist is going to be as follows:

2nd full major album for Doremidan

ドレミ團 (Doremidan) have announced that this autumn, they will be releasing their second major full album!
The album, which is titled 「レヱゾン」 (Rewezon), will be coming out on September 29th in two types — both of which are available for pre-ordering on CDJapan!
The album itself has eleven tracks, including their limited single, 「Paraphrenia」!
・ 「レヱゾン」 (Rewezon) – Limited Edition with DVD; 3990 yen
The DVD contains the PV for both 「Paraphrenia」 and a new song, 「蝶」 (Chou), as well as live footage from their Tour’10 「晩春パラフレニア」 (Banshun Paraphrenia) at Shibuya O-WEST.
・ 「レヱゾン」 (Rewezon) – Regular Edition; 3000 yen
The regular edition comes with an additional four tracks which are either unreleased songs, live only songs or re-arranged songs that include the new members, making a 15 song tracklist!

Doremidan’s first digital single and a new tour

ドレミ團 (Doremidan) will be releasing their very first digital single on the 12th of May, entitled 「-Paraphrenia-」. It will be available to download via Recochoku.
To commemorate that fact they’ll be holding a new tour in May, called 「晩春パラフレニア」 (Banshun Paraphrenia). The dates are as follows:

Doremidan’s new single

After replacing their bassist as Inka posted here ドレミ團 (Doremidan) will be releasing a new single called 「Sai」! This single is going to be only on sale at a gig that the band will be holding on the 31st at Shibuya Club Quattro. It will include 2 tracks and cost 1050 yen. The tickets for the event will cost 3990 yen when pre-ordered and 4500 at the door and will go on sale on the 28th of February.

ドレミ團 (Doremidan) lost their bassist Shinji few months ago and finally they’ve found a replacement! The new bassist is ユウ (Yuu), who joined the band officialy at their 8th anniversary oneman live 「東京姫始メ5」 (Tokyo Himehajime 5) on the 23th of January at LIQUIDROOM ebisu. From now on the band will start “new” Doremidan.

As for Yuu’s past, he was previously known as ゆうすけ or yuhsuke and was a member of such bands like Brother, TINC and Shelly Trip Realize.

Doremidan loses Shinji

ドレミ團 (Doremidan) have posted the following announcement on their OHP:
We sincerely thank you for continuously supporting Doremidan.
We have an important announcement for everyone.Our bassist Shinji has been taking some time off due to illness, however, he will be returning to band activities as of November 19th, at our live at Esaka MUSE.
However, after taking his health into consideration, and as the result of much discussion between the members and staff, we have decided that our winter tour, 「タイムマシンにのって」 (Time Machine ni Notte), which kicks off on December 4th, will also become Shinji’s farewell tour, as he has decided to leave the band.
We deeply apologize to the fan for this sudden announcement, and for causing you concern. We ask for your understanding in this matter, and hope that you will continue to support Doremidan as you have been doing.

Shinji posted his own comment on the OHP, explaining his decision:
I am truly sorry for making all the fans who support me worry, as recently I have been unable to control my health. For the time being, I have been resting in the shadows, and have made somewhat of a recovery, so I will be returning to the stay on November 19th for our live in Osaka at Esaka MUSE.
For those who have been worrying about me, I will stand in front of all my fans, to show you that I am now healthy.Up until now, my condition become increasingly worse time and time again, and during those times, the members let me follow them. However, now it has gotten to the point where it affects the band, and while I was on break I spent time truly thinking about what I should do in the future; I thought about the fans, and the band, and what would become of myself from hereon in. Even now, I don’t know for sure what will happen. With things as they are, I will probably cause more trouble and more concern.
The band still has a long future ahead of them. This is something that I don’t want to obstruct.
Therefore, after talking with the members, I have decided that on the final day of our winter tour, December 26th at Omotesandou FAB, I will leave the band.I am sincerely sorry to all of the fans who have been cheering me on for how things have turned out.
I’ve been in Doremidan for about five years, and I have experienced so many things.
I have truly enjoyed the time that I’ve spent together with the members, and with the fans. Thank you.
It’s about one month, and a short amount of time until the live on December 26th, but I will take care of things one at a time, I will take each performance one at a time so that there are no regrets, and I will put my all into these last shows. Even though I am just one person, I want to connect and feel as many fans as I can.
So, I will be waiting for you at the lives.Shinji
The remaining four members also posted a short comment on the OHP:
To all the fans who continuously support us,
We are sorry for the sudden announcement.It has come to the point where the four of us and Shinji will continue to walk down two separate paths.
This is the result that comes with the least amount of hardships, when thinking of both Doremidan’s future and Shinji’s future.
We hope that some how, you can understand.We will continue to advance forward without any stops, and hope that you will continue to support us.

It’s that time of day again — Random Fact time! I have to admit, even I’m kind of amazed that there hasn’t been a day without one.
Today’s features Makoto of Doremidan, and a question a fan asked him, that he answered in his blog. The question was “How do you break the tension?”
His reply was “Basically, I don’t really get nervous, but I talk to the members, and the staff members who are around, about trivial things”.
That sounds like a plan to me. I know I come off smooth most of the time, but when the air is tense, I sometimes struggle for a way to break it. That’s when things usually go wrong and I say the worst things possible…

MySpace Japan is coming up on their 2nd Anniversary and to celebrate, they’re holding four concerts spanning November 27th to the 30th.
Most interesting to fans of visual bands are the 28th and 29th.
Performing on the 28th at Shibuya C.C Lemon Hall are Aural Vampire, HANGRY & ANGRY, GaGaalinG and mimika.
On the 29th, once again at C.C. Lemon Hall are jealkb, Doremidan, GaGaalinG and more.
Tickets per show cost 4500 yen.
