desert-empress-disbands

Even though back when Desert Empress lost two members and went on hiatus they said they would conitnue, they have changed their minds and decided to disband after their live on April 7th.

They say it’s a decision they’ve come to together and apologize for their fans that it had to come to this.

I’m quite disappointed, because they were an extremely good live band — not only was their performance great, but their music was really, really good as well — and I liked their visual style too. Hopefully the members will continue on to new bands!

desert-empress-down-two-and-pausing-activities

Bad news for Desert Empress after their important announcement. Lilith (2nd guitar) and Mikage (bass) left the band yesterday. They must have given more details during their performance but nothing special is explained throughout their blogs… both of them really want to thank everyone that has supported them so far, as well as the other members. Nothing is said about whether or not we’ll see Lilith again, but it looks like Mikage is planning to keep playing music…

From now on, Desert Empress is entering into an activity pause. They don’t know when they will be back yet, but it seems like some of them will play in session bands in the meantime.

It’s always sad to see members leaving their band, but at least they don’t disband !
