New Year’s, often considered the most important holiday of the year in Japan, is celebrated in across the country in more ways than you can shake a stick at. Of course, the visual kei scene parties, and parties hard. While you may be familiar with oft-publicised events like UNDER CODE’s annual all-night party that tends last longer than most audience members can stay awake, there are really quite a few all-night shows! I’d like to introduce you to some of them here.

UNDER CODE PRODUCTION has announced a charity event and ombinus album release, both entitled as 「UNITED LINK for JAPAN」. The money they gain will be donated to Japan Red Cross.
Firstly, the charity event will take place on April 30th at Osaka BIG CAT and OSAKA MUSE simultaneously.

Dali announces new release

Dali has finally announced a new release, a whole year after their last one!
The new release is a maxi-single called セイメイロンリイダイタイアイタイ (Seimei Lonely Daitai Aitai), and it will be released in two types on April 6th. Both types will include the same 3 new songs, but the 2,100 yen A type will also include a PV for the song マイン (Mine), and the 1,890 yen B type will include a bonus track, ソラ0.8mg (Sora 0.8mg). Those who buy both types from the UNDER CODE official web shop will receive a special DVD + a signed cheki of the member of their choice.

Dali has also announced a CD release celebration tour comprised of several events. First, a sponsored event in April at which they’ll play a long set and vocalist Ren’s solo project ロットマン (LOTMAN) will make an appearance. Second, a series of sponsored events called ダリコレ2011 (Dali Kore 2011). And third, a tour final threeman live (although the other two bands have not yet been announced).

Dali has some new costumes to go with the announcement of some new live events! First up, they’re sponsoring a two day event called ダリコレ2011 winter (Dali Colle 2011 winter). The event will take place on February 19th and 20th at 池袋 (Ikebukuro) CYBER, and a special gift will be distributed on both days.
- February 19th: Dali, Rubik, Amber Bullet, VURNY, OROCHI, A’lrelius, 『Я苺-アールベリー-』 (R Berry), PieRiS, THE COLD MILK, and Pan-d-ra

Dali holds a oneman every year on January 11th, and this year’s edition, りゅうせいこうば (Ryuusei Kouba), will be held at 心斎橋 (Shinsaibashi) FANJ-twice. This time is special, however, because Dali will be releasing a live-limited CD with a brand new song! Unfortunately, there’s no other way to get the CD than to attend the event.

Some time ago we wrote about the fact, that SOMATIC GUARDIAN will be releasing a new single on August 4th, entitled 「戦場ガールフレンド」(Senjou Girlfriend) and now the band has shared even more information about the release.

New single for Dali

Dali announced that they will be releasing a new single on April 7th entitled 「トリコロールクロール」 (Tricolour Crawl). The single will come in two types. Type A will feature a CD with new tracks + DVD containing the PV for 「ヨルノハテ」 (Yoru no hate) and will cost 2100 yen. Type B will feature just a CD, but will have new tracks including a bonus track entitled 「タイハイヤクニタタズ」 (Taihai yaku ni tatazu) and will cost 1890 yen.
They also have a new look for the release of this single and it is very colourful indeed (well, the background is anyway!).

UCP 7 Year Anniversary Event

UNDER CODE is celebrating seven years in 2010, and will be holding an event called 「地下線7周年記念祭」 (Chikasen 7 Year Anniversary) on March 13th at OSAKA MUSE.
The bands performing that night will be ネガ (Nega), 平成維新 (Heisei Ishin), Megaromania, ClearVeil, Arc and Dali as well as special guests, Seven, spiv states, 愛狂います。(Aicle.) and 己龍 (Kiryuu).
The event will cost 4000 yen to attend, and tickets go on sale starting January 9th.
The celebrations don’t stop there, the day after on March 14th, UCP will also be holding an anniversary session event at ESAKA MUSE. Both bands and session bands will be playing that night, and the full-time bands performing are: spiv states, カル・ヴァリ (Kalvary), アイギス (Aigis), E’m~grief~, シンディケイト (CINDY&KATE) and Synside.

Thanks to -jibakurei- for emailing us about this. Seems like Saki is leaving Dali and after their revival oneman live on January 11th, they will continue with the remaining four members.
Speaking of Dali, Ren’s solo project LOTMAN had their very first live today! According to Dali’s LJ community – the group has rotating support members. They are also performing at the UNDER CODE Countdown which we posted here. They also have a maxi single coming out on December 2nd with 3 tracks.

Band mates may come and go but did you know some bandmates have returned after leaving? Like Yuu of Dali. He was an orginal member of Dali but left the band for a bit. He did however rejoined Dali. I wonder what he was doing while he was gone?

Dali’s ‘recharging’

As of their oneman live on September 6th and until January, Dali will be taking a small break to ‘recharge their batteries’.
They will be making their comeback on January 11th in Osaka, with a sponsored event called 「偏執狂的悲観的方法」 (Henjitsukyouteki Hikanteki Houho).

Ren from Dali is currently in a limited-time band called ロットマン (LOTMAN) who will be releasing a maxi-single titled 「アンタイトル」 (Untitle). The single will cost 1575 yen and be available for sale at their live on November 22nd.
Those who purchase it at that live will received a special privilege and chance for a photograph.

SCUBER DIVE ’09

SCUBER DIVE is an important Visual Kei event that’s been created two years ago, back in 2007. This event takes place both in Tokyo and Osaka, usually on the same day(s) and it gathers a lot of popular indie bands in different live houses of both cities. And it seems the two first editions were a success as the program of this year’s SCUBER DIVE has been revealed !
Like it was already the case last year, the SCUBER DIVE is split in two part, one in Osaka (Naniwa) and one in Tokyo (Shibuya). So, those of you who are lucky enough to be in Japan in that period should definitly go ! Hard choice though !
The timetable has yet to be revealed precisely, but it will be hold on July 31st and August 3rd, and here are the bands that are going to perform this year (more details on the timetable as soon as possible)

On August 12th, Dail will be releasing a best album from their “first stage”.
They’re actually releasing two albums, both of which contain ten (different) tracks for 3150 yen. Also included is a ticket for a DVD. Meaning, the DVD isn’t actually included in the release and you’ll have to fill out the ticket and send away for it. Each type has a different DVD with three (also different) tracks.

Just over a month ago we talked about UNDER CODE PRODUCTION’s 「SUPER COMPILATION ALBUM」, 「The end of missing」, that was coming out on March 4th.

Dali’s threeman and event

Along with the twoman lives that Dali is having with chariots, they’ll be participating a threeman live on April 10th with Nega and Kalvary!
The threeman is called 「斑」～MADARA～」 and it takes place at Shibuya BOXX. Tickets cost 3150 yen, and go on sale February 7th. As it seems to go with these events as of late, the three bands will also be teaming up for a big session band.
Dali will also be sponsoring an event on May 2nd at ESAKA MUSE called 「the reddish jewel」. Other bands performing that night will be SIVA, Panic CHannel, Lycaon, Ellseed, Kichiku Ikka, Aya, BarKiraca, Anetto and GRIEVER.
This event costs 3000 yen to attend, and tickets will go on sale May 7th.

Random Fact of the Day

Today’s random fact is actually an observation… so I want you to take a look at these three images and see if you can pinpoint anything in particular.
That’s one way to recycle! The first image is from Zodia’s 「In The Dark」 the second from ArcAdiA’s 「Irony」 and the third from the lyric book of Dali’s 「the world is mine」.
When I become a famous artist, I’m going to make my cover are all the same. And it will be a large photo of a cheese puff. That’s right.

Dali is putting out a new mini-album on March 25th of the new year! The title will be 「mind stripper」 and while a track list (or count) is not yet available, it will cost 2415 yen.

A few hours ago, I posted about the SUPER COMPILATION ALBUM (I feel the need to always write this in caps) that UNDER CODE is releasing. I forgot to mention that it’s part of the celebration for their six year anniversary、as is their country-wide tour, 「日本制圧2009」 (Nihon Seiatsu 2009).

Tickets for each show cost 3675 yen or 4200 yen at the door. All shows open at 3:00 and begin at four, except the show at Nagoya’s Club Quattro, which opens at 3:30 instead. Tickets go on sale starting January 10th.

SUPER COMPILATION ALBUM

UNDER CODE PRODUCTION is releasing a SUPER COMPILATION ALBUM called 「The End of Missing」 on March 4th!
The album will contain a total of 12 tracks, for 3150 yen and include songs by each of the following bands: chariots, Nega, SIVA, Dali, Arc, Megaromania, ClearVeil, E’m~grief~, Heisei Ishin, brodiaea, Lamina, and G.O.L.
So I’m sure people are wondering, ‘G.O.L?’ Well, it’s a limited time thing where the song will be written and produced by KISAKI, and feature Gori, who he’s been working with (and if you remember, since August he’s had his 「KISAKI PROJECT feat. Gori official blog」 and so forth).
