Remember back in February we talked about the pausing of Croix Chevalier? Well the two remaining members have started a new project called Ashley Ruthtaylor. Interesting name right…I think I actually had a peer in highschool with that name!? Rumina and Shan are naturally in the group along with aone and show no talk of support drummer yet. So far no REAL pics, just an outline of the band but you can see from the shape they are wearing suits. The group started in July and have a handful of lives set up until the end of September.

Croix Chevalier loses one and on pause

Croix Chevalier has announced that on February 6th their vocalist Kazusa will be retiring from musical activities. Furthermore, after that live the band will be going on hiatus. However, they do plan to welcome a new vocalist to their ranks, and resume activities.

Lacroix Despheres’ event

Lacroix Despheres is hosting their first event called Aristocracy Renaissance on January 14th at Takadanobaba AREA. So far they have the following bands appearing to play for the night:
Sito Magus
Croix Chevalier
Ambrosia
MARIO † CHILD
Radumt Keshwb
I don’t think we’ve talked about Lacroix Despheres before so here is a small intro to the group. They are a japanese duo with support orchestra, they have been active since 2006. The singers include Sho and Saya. They also have an orchestra that includes, Hiroaki and Pegeot on guitars, Satomi on violin and oboe and Waka on flute. The group reminds me of the disbanded Amadeus, with both male and female vocals and orchestra. If you go to their myspace you can here a sample of their stuff. Listen to them!! Their first album Dernier Paradis – The Symphonic Gothic Opera – act 1 is already out for sell at online shops like Brand X etc. Its 2,000 yen and they accept international orders.

New band! Croix Chevalier is a new band to the visual scene, and the formed on a “certain day” in 2008. They’ve commenced with the activities with the objective of pursuing beauty that will become supreme and expressing illusions of the world.
The members of the band are currently:
Vocals - Kazusa
Guitar and Synth - Rumina
Bass - Shan
They describe their sound as a lyrical, melodious and based on fantasy and gothic, constructing a whimsical world.
Their official site was just opened today and while you can’t hear any sound samples, you can find some of their lyrics posted on their site along with short biographies and photos.
The band’s first live will be on July 5th at Urawa Narciss and on that same day they’ll be giving out a free demonstration CD.
