Cla vi us guitarist Yoshi just posted that the band will be on hiatus after their live at Nanba ROCKETS on November 11th. They are expected to resume activities in April next year.

Details on Cla vi us 2nd single

As Inka told you last month, Cla vi us is going to release their second maxi-single, about 6 months after 「未来、時々雨」 (Mirai, Tokidoki Ame). We now have some more details about this second single that will finally be called 「二十五時の色彩〜colors〜」 (Nijugoji no Irodori~colors~). This new single will go on sale on March 24th and will contain 4 tracks for only 1260 yen:

02. 生命線 (Seimeisen)
03. 赤裸々の果実 (Sekirara no Kajitsu)
04. 春の陽と君とサヨナラ (Haru no Hi to Kimi to Sayonara)

Cla vi us’ new single

It seems that Cla vi us will release a new single in March, entitled 「赤裸々果実」 (Sekirara Kajitsu). No further details are available so far.
What is more the band will organize an event on the 20th of March at OSAKA MUSE to celebrate their 2nd single’s release.

Cla vi us have posted an announcement on their OHP stating that their keyboardist You will be leaving the band on January 30th.
This is Cla vi us.
At this time, it has been decided that after our performance on January 30th at Nishikujou BRAND NEW, our keyboardist You will be leaving the band.This is an unexpected announcement, however, we ask for your understanding.
Below is a comment from You.
It’s been about a year and a half since I’ve been participating in the band’s activities, however, for various reasons due to my current situation, I have decided to leave the band.
I feel that I was truly able to meet wonderful band members.
Even though it’s been just a short time, we’ve been through good times and hard times, and we have become cherished friends.
However, you always have to make choices and decisions. I guess that that time is now.
Therefore, the result is the path that I have chosen.
It’s closing in to the end, however, I am truly grateful to all of the fans for everything thus far.
If I ever stand on the stage again, please welcome me kindly.
Also, please continue to support Cla vi us.You

In addiction to the free oneman live to commemorate the release of their first album, KYOUKUTOU GIRL FRIEND will also be putting on three additional lives later this month to celebrate its release. Information is as follows:

Quite a long time after their first demo 「JOKER」 back in January, the guys have finally decided to bring out their first maxi-single !
Two more weeks to wait (October 28th) before the release of 「未来、時々雨」 (Mirai, Tokidoki Ame).

Some news about Cla vi us. It appears that the band has stopped acting as Cla vi us last month to get a new name… not really new though, as they just changed it to katakana : クラヴィアス (Clavius). The band has just started their activities under that new name 2 days ago on June 1st.
To go with their “new” name, the band also got a new look, which is far better than the previous one in my opinion… minus the nazi cross, but we’re kinda getting used to it, and it’s not like they use it for political reasons…
The band is still selling its first demo single called “JOKER”, but now you also hear a sample of that song on their OHP, check it out !

Cla vi us, who we introduced back in August, have a few updates going for them!
First off, they now have a drummer added to their ranks! His name is 大介 (Daisuke).
They also have a new look… and I have to say that it’s not as cool as the look they had before. But check it out for yourself, and let us know what you think.
Lastly, they had an important announcement today at their live, and it turns out that they released their first demo CD, “JOKER”! Unfortunately it’s only for sale at the livehouses.

I have a few new bands to introduce, but I’ll start with one that will be having their first live in just a few weeks, on September 1st to be exact, at Nishikujou BRAND NEW. The band’s name is Cla vi us and they’re cutting through a new era like the black ships.

So far the look is pretty cool! I’m excited to hear what they sound like so hopefully they’ll be posting samples on their OHP in the near future.
