Boogieman’s Dr. Yuuichirou taking a break from band activities

Due to a poor physical health, after Boogieman’s 16. October live, drummer Yuuichirou paused band activities, and the band have had a support drummer performing with them since them. Yuuichirou apologized for the inconvenience, and we hope that he’ll get better asap!
On a side note, it seems that their support drummer is ex-member of Plastic Tree- Sasabuchi Hiroshi!

And with my return I’m bringng back the random fact of the day. That’s right. You’ll get to hear from me every single day, just like you used to Let’s get started!
The band recently took a ferry to Hokkaido, and Shuu updated his Twitter with the following Tweets:
- Well, the ferry is in seventeen hours. Blagh*.
- Will the ferry be heaven? Or will it be hell? It depends on how long it takes for this medicine to kick in.
- We’ve arrived. I’ve spotted BugLug!
- [In reply to someone telling him to do his best on the ferry trip] – It was tough when halfway through, the medicine wore off, but I guess somehow or another you get used to it. Bansaku was more like the walking dead than I was! Haha.
* That’s the sound of throwing up.
Well, at least they made it safe and sound!

baroque’s one day revival

WOW we got alot of emails full of excitement about this! Seems like one of fan favorites: baroque will be coming together for a one night revival on July 17th! Not only is the revival set for the summer but its FREE! Thats right – free live! Ticket ordering is happening at 9am on the 17th (one ticket reservation per person and no line forming before 9am) and will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza.
The group disbanded back in 2004 so this is a real treat to those who missed out seeing them live.

boogieman to release new mini album

boogieman will be releasing their first mini-album with their new vocalist Syu. The mini- album will be called 「Loops」 and come in two types. Type A will have 5 tracks with a pv and Type B will have 7 tracks with no pv included. Track listing has been released already!

We recently reported that AYABIE will be releasing their first single, Melody on February 23rd.

boogieman reveals singer & new single

They have finally posted their new look along with their new singer and boy did it surprise me!
Its Syu, the ex singer and member from heartless. The band disbanded back in August of this year. So now that we know who the newest member of boogieman is, what do you think?
The band also announced via their homepage that they will be releasing their 4th single with Syu sometime in March! We’ll have to stay tune, if you haven’t heard Syu’s vocals or heartless’ music before…their myspace is still up with samples so go take a look.
What do you think? Its exciting but I still miss Junno.

boogieman is getting ready to reveal their new singer by transforming their official home page into a youtube look alike. They seem to already be doing a shoot with the newest member.
I’m glad they are a 5 member piece again but I am going to miss the weirdest that was Junno. What about you? Are you pumped to meet the new singer?

After Junno’s departure – the band put out a request for people to audition for the spot of vocalist. After months of auditioning singers they finally posted some sort of hint of their future! Today they posted a message stating the new singer will be revealed at their December 30th live at Shibuya C.C.Lemon Hall. The live being held is actually a cool 2 day event called 「Over The Edge ’10」.

boogieman loses Junno

boogieman have announced that their vocalist Junno has left the band and that due to his departure, they have cancelled their currently scheduled lives.
The following notice was posted on the band’s OHP:
At this time, our vocalist Junno has decided to leave boogieman due to being in considerably poor health.
Junno made the decision himself based on the diagnosis from the doctors, who told him that they felt continuining on in the band would be too difficult for him.
In addition, Junno, along with the boogieman members and staff talked about the future of the band, and decided that with these circumstances it would be impossible to carry out our scheduled performances, and we therefore have decided to cancel them all.
We will be updating about boogieman’s future in due time.
We deeply apologize for the trouble that this has caused.

kannivalism’s new release and participation in VA DVD

Back in May, we talked about kannivalism’s new DVD, and we also posted about the new single that they had announced for this summer.
At that time, no details on the single were available, however, more information has been released!
The new single, 「split recollection.」 will be out on August 11th in two types.
The first press edition costs 1890 yen and comes with two tracks plus a DVD that contains a PV, whereas the regular edition is 1260 yen for three tracks.
The band has also announced that on August 23rd, they’ll be having a oneman show at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall called 「the other side of the love」. Tickets cost 4800 yen a piece and go on sale starting June 26th.
Futhermore, footage from kannivalism’s performance on May 5th at Shibuya-AX will be featured on the various artists DVD, 「EXTRA-TERRITORIAL 2010.05.05 at SHIBUYA-AX」.
This DVD costs 4410 yen, and includes footage from the live as well as off-shot footage of the bands that played that night:

boogieman have announced that on June 23rd, they will be releasing their first album entitled 「boogieman」! The album is coming out in two types.
The first press version costs 3990 yen and comes with twelve tracks plus a DVD that contains not only the PV for their third single, 「キジョウノ空論」 (Kijou no Kuuron), off-shot footage from the PV shooting and a 2008 – 2010 boogieman documentary.
The regular version is 3150 yen and includes thirteen tracks.

Remember when we told you guys about boogieman-kun and the Halloween party? If you’re like me and always wondered how boogieman-kun looked in person then wonder no longer! A video has been posted by the band that gave an inside look to the Halloween Party!
There was a Q&A with boogieman and the band gave out candy to their fans. Seriously looks like alot of fun! I want to high-five boogieman-kun!

Back in June, we talked about the contest that boogieman did using boogieman-kun to celebrate the release of their single, 「我執」 (Gashuu).
For the contest, fans had to use an image of boogieman-kun to create a photo or illustration, you can see the winning photos on the band’s site!
They had so many entries, that instead of only awarding five people, they awarded nine! The grand prize (one person) was a signed polaraid set (five photos). Second place (three people) was a 「HIDDEN」 poster signed by each of the members. The set of prizes were the member’s choice and they gave away five signed boogieman lighters.

On Halloween, they’re having a party with boogieman-kun, however the location and details have not yet been announced.

Today we’re talking about childhood dreams. Everyone had dreams as a child, you know, what they wanted to be when they grew up. According to Junno of boogieman, this was his future aspiration as youngster:
A pro-wrestler and a long distance truck driver. When I wrote “long distance truck driver” for “future dream”, one of my homeroom teachers got mad at me, and said “that’s not a dream”.
To all those who poo-poo the idea, a long distance truck driver is too a dream! One of my childhood dreams was to be a mascot. Dress up in those sweet mascot costumes and dance around. Alas, I’m too short…
