彩冷える (Ayabie) have announced that they will be releasing a new album on January 27th called 「彩-irodori-」. The album is coming out in three different types.

The first press edition type A is 3500 yen and comes with 10 tracks plus a bonus track, as well as a DVD with footage from their live on October 26th at Shibuya AX called ～ayabie live tour「colorful rock party」FINAL～ which includes live and backstage video. Enclosed is a special privilege Ayabie mini-panel, type A.

The first press edtion type B is also 10 tracks plus a bonus track (different from the type A) and a DVD for 3500 yen. The type B DVD contains footage from their stay in Taiwan, recording off-shots and live reherasal off-shots. Inside there is an Ayabie mini-panel, type B.

Last but not least is the regular press edition for 2800 yen, which comes with the 10 tracks plus 2 bonus tracks, a 56 page photo collection, and the mini-panel, type C.

For some reason, we seemed to skip past this release! But, there’s no time like the present.
Ayabie will be releasng a new single on December 2nd, which was originally planned for November 18th, called 「サヨナラ」 (Sayonara).

The single is coming out in three types; two first press editions that come with both a CD and a DVD for 1500 yen, as well as a regular press edition which is the CD only for 1000 yen.

Furthermore, the band has been featured in short movie called 「ゲーム☆アクション」 (Game Action), and Aoi, Yumehito and Intetsu will be participating in screening and meet and greet for the show on November 30th at Ikebukuro Theatre Daimond. There are two sections; one from 8:30pm and one from 10:10pm. The screening that will be showed deals with Ayabie’s role as the “3F quest”.

カラス (Karasu) is a new neo visual kei “super unit” that has a very interesting composition of musicians!

The line-up for the project is:
Vocals - 逹瑯 (Tatsurou) [from MUCC]
Guitar - ヒロト (Hiroto) [from Alice 9]
Guitar - 美月 (Mizuki) [from Sadie]
Bass - dunch [from jealkb]
Drums - ケンゾ (Kenzo) [from Ayabie]

Originally, the band was meant to only be a one night jam session, organized by the vocalist, Tatsurou. However, they now are like a crow, which has grown and expanded, and is spreading its wings.

They first performed on August 15th at the MAVERICK DC GROUP PRESENTS JACK IN THE BOX 2009 SUMMER live. They played two cover songs, as well as their original number, 「LASTICA」, which you can hear a sample of on their official MySpace.

For three months after their performance, the band has been busy “underwater” recording, and this November have brought 「LASTICA」 back to the scene with their 「LASTICA Studio ver.」. They are adding the finishing touches to the song which is catchy, and has an industrial sound with passionate lyrics, perfectly appropriate for “neo visual kei”.

Is ‘Karasu’ (which means ‘crow’) something that will fly away and disappear? Or, is it something magnificent, willful, that will suddenly and unexpected swoop down on you? From here on, you will not be able to take your eyes away from their activities.

Ayabie’s new live DVD

A couple of weeks ago we posted about how Ayabie was going to be releasing their major debut single on May 27th. Well, more information about that new single has been released!

The tentative title for the single is 「きら星」 (Kiraboshi) and it’s coming out in three types.

The first press edition costs 1890 yen, and comes with the CD (the title track plus a second), and a DVD that contains a PV, off-shot footage plus comments from the members.

The regular edition, type A comes with the same two tracks as the first press edition, plus bonus track “A”. Regular edition type B, also has the two tracks, but instead comes with a bonus track “B”. Both of these types cost 1260 yen and come with one of three random photo cards.

Each release will have a serial number enclosed. If you register two or more of these numbers, you will get a special privilege. They will also be drawing names (from those that enter) of people to receive a phone call from the members.

All Night Nippon’s Mucomi is sponsoring an event that will be taking place on April 4th and 5th at Shibuya C. C. Lemon Hall called 「TOKYO VISUAL FESTIVAL ‐ZERO-」.

On April 4th, the bands performing will be Kagrra,, Kra and 彩冷える (Ayabie)
On April 5th, PENICILLIN, メリー (Merry) and others.

Tickets cost 5000 yen a piece; advanced sales through Mucomi start February 23rd and regular ticket sales start March 7th.

Ayabie’s major debut single

As we’ve talked about before, Ayabie will be going major this spring!

For their major debut, they will be releasing a new single! It has not yet been titled, however, it will be coming out on May 27th.

Furthermore, the band will be signed with the label Tokuma Japan Communications. Currently the label is home to various enka, J-POP and anime-type artists. For more information about the label, check out their OHP.

Ayabie has announced that they’ll be in charge of the theme song for 「第2写真部」 (Dai 2 Shashinbu) that’s set to air in Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka starting in February!

Ayabie is closing their fanclub, 「The impulse of “M”」 and on January 1st opening a new fanclub called 「DONUT SPIN」. Joining gets you things like a special original member’s card, newsletter / DVD, the chance to get advanced order live tickets, access to fanclub only lives and events, plus other original goods!

Membership costs 5000 yen (1000 yen initiation fee, 4000 yen annual fee). After you’ve been a member for two years, you only have to pay the 4000 yen annual fee.

Random Fact of the Day

Before I start the random fact, I want to say IT’S S-T’S ONE YEAR ANNIVERSARY! OUR FIRST BIRTHDAY! One year ago today the site was officially opened. We’re planning to do something a little special in a few hours hopefully for tomrorow so make sure you check back!

Today’s random fact I found while browsing through blogs and I thought it would interest some of our readers who are Ayabie fans!

Itentsu from Ayabie recently wrote in his journal about how he was in deep conversation with his Grandmother who’s from Taiwan, and his Uncle who’s from the United States. Seems like everyone’s there because one of his relatives is getting married!

He explained that his Grandmother, speaks to him in Japanese and Chinese whereas his Uncle speaks to him in English and Chinese and therefore Intetsu was speaking all three languages and it felt like an international living room!

He also says that he’d like to become better in Chinese and wants to try harder at English. He’s used to listening, but when when he tries to talk himself, the words just don’t come out.

As another little tidbit, both of Intetsu’s parents (and therefore, him too) are Taiwanese.

Can anyone guess what languages I speak? And what about you, S-T readers, what do you speak?
