Here’s an introduction to a brand new band that I just found out about yesterday. One of their members is from a band that I really loved, so I’m quite excited!

Aluminous opened their site to the public yesterday, but it wasn’t working properly until today, so I had to delay posting this a bit. They were formed very recently, and they haven’t even had their first live yet, but you can already listen to short samples of two songs on the flash intro on their website! They sound fairly well recorded, which is always a good sign in my opinion. It’s a bit hard to tell from such short samples, but at least to me they sound quite good, especially the first song.

Aluminous is going to start their activities officially on July 15th, when they will have their first free live at Urawa Narciss. On the same day they’ll also release their first single, called Violet Love / Dreaming. (Their PC site says its release date is 2008/08/15, but it’s July 15th on the mobile site and Nique’s blog, so I think the latter is correct.) They have four more lives planned for July and August, two of which are free of charge, so if you have the chance go check them out!

And as if that wasn’t enough for a good start, the band is also holding their first sponsorship event already on October 1st! Looks like they really want to start out with full power, so keep an eye out for them! And of course, I’ll be posting about any updates regarding their activities here on Shattered Tranquility.

EDIT: Actually, the flash intro wasn’t working for me properly at first and it took a few tries before I could listen to the samples, so I figured I’d record it and embed it in this post, just in case someone else is having troubles with it too. It ends a bit abruptly, but that’s how it’s on the site too.
