Thanks to Angie for emailing us about this! We talked about Yuusuke leaving 12012 back in October over here, now he has branched out and is starting a new solo project going to be called high-ball!
They are going to have a full album called high-ball that should be released April 27th. What do you guys think?

This is what I call an amazing piece of news! It seems there will be a new cover omnibus album and a really cool one, I have to admit! Current Visual Kei bands are going to cover some of the biggest hits from the 90′s from the VK scene. Doesn’t it sound awesome?
The album will be entitled「CRUSH! -90′s V-Rock best hit cover songs-」. It will go on sale on January 26th for 3000 yen. The tracklist is going to be as follows:

12012 has updated their OHP and blog with the following announcement regarding guitarist Yuusuke’s departure from the band.
An Important Announcement for Everyone Supporting 12012
At this time, we are announcing that after the final performance of our current tour, “THE FANGS OF KILLER 「SEVEN」 SADNESS” on December 12th at Le Foret Museum in Roppongi, gutiarist Yuusuke Suga will be leaving 12012.
We arrived at this decision after numerous discussions between the members and staff.
We sincerely apologize to everyone who has been supporting us for this unexpected announcement.
Furthermore, regarding the future of the band, we cannot currently make a decision whether or not the band will continue on with the remaining four members, Wataru Miyawaki, Hiroaki Sakai, Tomoyuki Enya and Tohru Kawauchi.
We apologize for making you worry, however, we hope that you can understand our situation.
The members and staff will all continue to put their full power into the performances up until December 12th, so we ask for your understanding and for your continued support.

Great news for all fans of 凛 (Lin)! They have announced few twoman lives, which will take place in late autumn.
First of all they’ll have a twoman live with 12012 on October 11th at OSAKA MUSE. The live will be entitled 「THE FANGS OF KILLER「SEVEN」SADNESS-Case 3-」. Tickets are 3800 yen in advance and 4300 yen at the door.
Futhermore, they’ll have a short twoman tour with Sadie. The tour will be called 「Deep Impact」 and the schedule looks as follows:
November 20th @ Nagano CLUB JUNK BOX
November 21st @ Kanazawa AZ
November 23rd @ Niigata CLUB JUNK BOX
December 3rd @ Kouchi X-pt.
December 4th @ Matsuyama SALON KITTY

Tomo updated some cool live info for his band, echostream. Seems like they will be playing along side 12012 at Anime USA as well!
He updated with the following info:
Echostream is gonna perform at Superglorious Northside Festival Showcase in Brooklyn NY on June 25th, this Friday!
Echostream is gonna perform special rearranged set : New songs + old all rearranged songs for this show!
Im thinking it’s gonna be a cool acoustic set
You would think like wow this song is really that song? haha.We have been doing rehearsals so many times recently. Hope u will like our rearranged songs.
echostream will be at around 9pm.
And also we are going to perform at 2 big anime conventions this year.

The headlining guest of AnimeUSA convention in Arlington, VA has been announced!
12012 will be coming back to America!! They’re being presented by JHOUSE Rock Ent., and here’s what the site had to say about it.

kannivalism’s new release and participation in VA DVD

Back in May, we talked about kannivalism’s new DVD, and we also posted about the new single that they had announced for this summer.
At that time, no details on the single were available, however, more information has been released!
The new single, 「split recollection.」 will be out on August 11th in two types.
The first press edition costs 1890 yen and comes with two tracks plus a DVD that contains a PV, whereas the regular edition is 1260 yen for three tracks.
The band has also announced that on August 23rd, they’ll be having a oneman show at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall called 「the other side of the love」. Tickets cost 4800 yen a piece and go on sale starting June 26th.
Futhermore, footage from kannivalism’s performance on May 5th at Shibuya-AX will be featured on the various artists DVD, 「EXTRA-TERRITORIAL 2010.05.05 at SHIBUYA-AX」.
This DVD costs 4410 yen, and includes footage from the live as well as off-shot footage of the bands that played that night:

12012 releasing a new full album

It’s not been that long since 12012 has decided to release their new single and they have already announced a new full-album
The album will be out on the 14th of July and will be titled 「SEVEN」. It will come out in two types: regular edition for 3,000 yen and including 13 tracks and limited edition for 3,500 yen and including 12 tracks and a bonus DVD.
They will be holding several instore events too to commemorate both releases:

12012′s new DVD

Along with their new single, 「Tattoo」, which is coming out on February 24th, 12012 will be releasing a DVD on March 31st!
The DVD is titled 「無法地帯」 (Muhouchitai), and will feature footage from the free live that took place on December 12th at C.C. Lemon Hall. They are also planning to include a photo booklet that features live photos and a set of five postcards.
The release costs 5800 yen.

12012 announced that they will be releasing their ninth single titled “Tattoo” on February 24th, 2010. The single will be released in three types:
Limited Edition A which will cost 1500 yen and features the tracks “Tattoo” and “Silhouette” and comes with a bonus DVD with the PV for “Tattoo”.
Limited Edition B which will cost 1200 yen and features three tracks: “Tattoo”, “Silhouette”, and “Heavenly”.
Regular Edition which will cost 1000 yen and includes an instrumental version of “Tattoo” along with the tracks “Tattoo” and “Silhouette”.

Every year, 12012 holds a live on December 12 (12/12… get it?). This year, they’re addng a special twist, and have announced that this year’s December 12th live will be free! It is called 「無法地帯」 (Muhouchitai) and will be held at Shibuya C.C. Lemon Hall. The show opens at 6:00pm and begins at 6:30pm.
How do you attend? Well, you have three chances (four, really) to get in.
First, those who purchase the Type A of their new single, 「薄紅と雨」 (Usubeni to Ame), that’s coming out on October 7th, will receive an application ticket. You have until October 7th until October 15th to apply.
Your second chance, is to apply via internet or cell phone. You can call, or access a special page via the QR code on your phone. Those who ‘win’, will be contacted.
The first round is open from November 1st until the 15th, and the second is November 21st until the 30th.
Last but not least, you can always try your luck on the day of the live. They will be allowing a number of people into the livehouse on that very day. For more details, make sure you check out their OHP.

12012 will be releasing a new single on October 7th called 「薄紅と雨」 (Usubeni to Ame).
The single is coming out in three types:
First Press Edition A – Includes the single, as well as a DVD with the 「薄紅と雨」 (Usubeni to Ame) PV for 1500 yen.
First Press Edition B – Includes an extra track not on the A edition or regular edition called 「THE GOVERNMENT SOMPING GUMX」 for 1200 yen.
Regular Edition – Comes with the instrumental version of 「薄紅と雨」 (Usubeni to Ame) which is not included on either the A or B type for 1000 yen.
Each type also includes a postcard.

SCUBER DIVE ’09

SCUBER DIVE is an important Visual Kei event that’s been created two years ago, back in 2007. This event takes place both in Tokyo and Osaka, usually on the same day(s) and it gathers a lot of popular indie bands in different live houses of both cities. And it seems the two first editions were a success as the program of this year’s SCUBER DIVE has been revealed !
Like it was already the case last year, the SCUBER DIVE is split in two part, one in Osaka (Naniwa) and one in Tokyo (Shibuya). So, those of you who are lucky enough to be in Japan in that period should definitly go ! Hard choice though !
The timetable has yet to be revealed precisely, but it will be hold on July 31st and August 3rd, and here are the bands that are going to perform this year (more details on the timetable as soon as possible)
