Guruguru Eigakan to Resume Activity
4
Feb, 2012
![]()

That’s about to change. Following short messages of apology and excitement from the members, Guruguru Eigakan has announced a resumption of activity to begin on April 1st, 2012 at Ikebukuro BlackHole. The show is a one man titled 「四月バカの日に突然活動再開!?なのか??ワンマンショー!!」 (“Yongatsu Baka no Hi ni Guuzen Katsudou Saikai!? Nanoka?? One Man Show!!”)
Tickets are already on sale.
Edit: February 2nd @ 8:32pm
The member’s messages were as follows:
Amano Tonbimaru
It’s been a long time since we’ve been on activity restraint,
so recently we’ve felt like we might wanna start playing some lives again.
It would be great if we could start something fun from here on out.
Come and see if you can see us and see if you can see what’s real and what’s lies!
Numakura Shin
Carefree carefree
we’re starting suuuper carefree
Gokimi
Sorry for the wait everyone. It’s been a long time since we’ve played a live.
But rather than thinking we’re shouting out “Revival!” just think of it more as us playing a few lives after a long time, and we’re really just hoping we can put on a fun live like always (well, there might be a few misses too). So come bring us your warmth and watch over us. Yes, please come to lots and lots and lots of our lives.
Maeda Kazutomo
Hey, it’s been a while. I’m Maeda Kazutomo, the drummer of Guruguru Eigakan. We’ve ended our activity restraint and we’re back~ Wow, since we’ve been on break I’ve done a lot of different solo projects…. or rather, most of them were actually just talks, comedy, and mainly speaking performances. I played a little drum and bass in between, but during those times it was a little hard to introduce myself to new people with my full profile, like, “Umm I’m basically a drummer in a visual kei band, and, uh, it’s called Guruguru Eigakan, but.. Eh? Ah, that’s the name of the band. The name of the band is actually Guruguru Eigakan. But right now we’re on a break from activity. Eh? Ah, yeah even though we’re on a break it’s not like like one of use went out and committed a crime or anything, haha. Yeah, that’s right. So that’s why I don’t really have a “main” project that I’m working on right now…. that’s why I’m doing support and other solo activities like talks and comedy, and all kinds of other stuff like that. Ah, so what’s my title then? Hmm How should I say it… Umm… let’s see, I’m basically the drummer of a visual kei band, uh, it’s called Guruguru Eigakan…” and like that, it would just never end. But from now on, I’ll be able to just say “I’m the drummer of Guruguru Eigakan!” and that makes things much more convenient. But I’m not coming back from the activity break just for the sake of convenience! Well, even though we call it a revival we’re keeping it low profile and carefree appropriate for people of our age.. age appropriate… meaning old people. Well, people do tend to keep getting older don’t they… Oy! We are a visual kei band yo! Well, whuttu we gon’ do… whuttu we gon’ do, haha, quit using cliche Osaka-ben!! We’re visual kei yo!!!! Eh? I talk too much? I’m sorry. Well, everybody please come back and watch over us with your waaaarm eyes. Love us a little, love us a looooot. Wow, that’s such an old expression, seriously wow.. Anyways, let’s meet again at our live!

Weekly Discussion Question – Round 2
4
Feb, 2012
![]()
It’s time for round 2 of our newest feature at Shattered-Tranquility.net, the Weekly Discussion Question! Hope you guys enjoyed last week’s discussion about how we all happened to discover Visual Kei!
This week, we thought it might be interesting to ask a question that would also allow you guys to throw some names out there, spread some love, and give out a few recommendations to those of us who are always looking for a great new band to listen to. So the question I’ll ask, is:
What bands do you think deserve more loooooovvve?
So do you know a new indies band that hasn’t had a lot of fan activity overseas yet? Or maybe an unjustly underrated oldie-but-goodie? In any case, we’d love to hear your recommendations in the comments! And don’t forget to tell us why we should check them out~
Just a few things to remember:
・ Be respectful of others’ opinions. You don’t have to agree, and you’re welcome to say you don’t, but don’t be a jerk.
・ Come back every Friday to answer the new question!
・ Share the question of the week with your friends. The more the merrier!
Also, if you have a question you’d like to appear here in the future, send it our way!

Finally, news for those New England fans who’d gotten antsy waiting for an announcement: exist†trace will be coming to Boston on March 15 with a special tour-kickoff VIP-only live at The Middle East! Tickets are $39.50 a pop and are limited to 200 lucky fans, all of whom will get to participate in an autograph session at the end of the show. This Boston date is in addition, of course, to their already scheduled (and already selling out!) performances in New York, Philadelphia, and Pittsburgh’s Tekkoshocon.
Speaking of the other dates, updated details are telling us that the March 18th New York show is also 18+ (16+ with guardian), and the March 20th Philadelphia show is all ages, but requires guardians for those under 16. Please bear that in mind so you do not get turned away at the door.

Kuro leaves Vanish + member comments
3
Feb, 2012
![]()
Vanish have announced that their drummer, Kuro, will be leaving the band due to musical differences. Both the band and Kuro do plan to continue on with musical activities in the future.
The following announcement was posted on the band’s OHP:
An important announcement from Vanish – February 1st, 2012
Thank you for your continuous support of Vanish.
We have an important announcement from Vanish for you.
Up until now, we’ve been doing our activities with our drummer, Kuro, however, after our live on February 20th, he will be leaving the band.
We deeply apologize to everyone who has been supporting things turning out this way.
There isn’t a lot of time left until February 20th, however, we hope that you will continue to support the current members of Vanish.
February 1st
Vanish Members, Staff
The members have all written comments about Kuro leaving the band.
Kuro
I know this comes as an unexpected announcement, but after our live on February 20th, I will be leaving Vanish.
To all of the fans who have been supporting me for these past two years, and to the staff who I’m indebted to, I can’t even begin to thank you enough.
As for the decision to leave the band, my reasons are mostly due to my way of thinking about music differing from those of the band.
MAY, Sayo, and JUN who went from support, to a full-fledged member, we’ve shared a lot of joys and pain, and I hope that we will continue to work together and learn from each other.
Both Vanish and my own personal band activities will continue, so I hope that you can continue to give us your warm support.
Kuro
(Vanish Drums)
Sayo
I’m terribly sorry to everyone who has been supporting us about the unexpected announcement. On February 20th, after our show at Ikebukuro BlackHole, our drummer Kuro will be leaving Vanish.
It’s been about two years since we started.
Together, we’ve stuggled together, through losing members, our bearings, and through hardships.
However, after talking together with everyone, we came to accept Kuro’s decision.
I’m sorry to those who feel that this decision means we’re betraying you.
It’s something that’s painful, and difficult for the fans, but February 20th will be the last day that Vanish will be as it is now. However, because it’s Kuro’s last live in Vanish, I hope that we can all become one, and make it an awesome performance.
Sayo
(Vanish Guitar)
JUN
It was a sudden announcement, but as the result of many discussions, and due to musical differences, our drummer Kuro will be leaving Vanish after our performance on February 20th.When I had just become a member of Vanish, Kuro shared with me a lot of great memories from Vanish.
Because he’s that kind of guy, he worried like nothing over what would happen, and I think that without bending to my own feelings, this the answer that we came up with.
It’s disappointing that after February 20th, we won’t be able to continue on with Vanish being the four of us, but we’ll continue to put all of our energy into our activities, so I hope that you will continue to support us.
JUN
(Vanish Bass)
MAY
First, a message to everyone who’s been supporting Vanish.I’m really sorry for the way that things have turned out.
In the past, we’ve had members leave, making this the second sad memory, but after countless conversations, it turned out to be something that we couldn’t avoid. We talked for hours about where the band was going, and what kind of things we’d be doing, and we ended up not agreeing. So in the end, this is the conclusion that we reached.
When we were thinking about Kuro leaving the band, we got the opinions and advice of many different people about how to continue on with our band activities, and those talks were filled with pep talks.
However, there are some feelings that you just can’t change, and therefore the only choice left was the option for Kuro to leave.
Nevertheless, both Vanish and Kuro will continue making music. I hope that you will support both us, and Kruo, as I believe that both of us will put all of our energy into what we do.
It might be painful for those who come on February 20th, Kuro’s last live with Vanish, but please come and watch us.
Also, Kuro will start new activities from hereon, so please support and encourage him.
Thank you.
And finally, to Kuro.
Vanish is the first band I’ve been in, and I just want to say thank you for all of the fun and good times we’ve had being in the band, for the troubles and pains, and for teaching me so many things.
After February 20th, you will no longer be behind me [on stage] supporting me, but I’ll continue to protect Vanish when you’re gone.
After this let’s grow together as friends and rivals.
MAY
(Vanish Vocal)
As mentioned in all of the member’s posts, the band’s final live with Kuro will be on February 20th. It will take place at Ikebukuro BlackHole, and costs 2800 yen a piece, and are currently on sale.

La’cryma Christi returns to celebrate their 15 year anniversary

Feb, 2012
![]()
It seems to be the season for old bands to make a come back, and La’cryma Christi is joining in!
The band, who will be celebrating their 15 year anniversary since going major, have announced that they’ll be having a 15th anniversary live tour!
The Best ~ 15th Special Day ~
May 8th @ Akasaka BLITZ
Night One – The Best ~ Beloved
June 2nd @ Nakano Sun Plaza
Night Two – The Best ~ Happy Birthday Levin! Special ~
June 3rd @ Nakano Sun Plaza
Night Three – The Best ~ Supreme ~
July 14th @ ZEPP Nagoya
The Last Night – The Best ~ Extreme ~
July 29th @ ZEPP Namba (Osaka)
The set lists at the lives will feature the “best of” the band’s songs, but fans can make a request for what they’d like to hear on their OHP.
The band has also posted a message about the anniversary tour.
Our 15 year anniversary debut.
Already, the setlists for the performances are nearly complete. They’re in the palms of our hands.
The first night, the second night… whichever performance it is, it’s unique special menu will be created for that day only.
On that night, the rabbit will leap. We’re waiting for the cult night.
We’ve perpared acoustic versions.
We want things to be brought back exactly like they were.
And, this is a secret that’s for our debut anniversary lives only, but they will be our absolute best.
So, without a doubt, this will be La’cryma Christi’s all time best tour.
Among our staff, there are those who are worried whether or not we will be able to create this setlist, and if we really can perform these songs.
However, when everything is ready, it will be something amazing, and we’re saying this with nervous excitement.
Nevertheless, there are some things that can never be enough. Your voices.
This song, that song, won’t you tell us what you want to hear?
And let’s make it a perfect night.
It’s not that we’re asking for something impossible.
We only want love. We only want to have an effect. We just want to be linked [to you].
Deep, like it was at that time, even deeper than it was.Welcome to the Galmour Nights
