To become a news posting member, we do have a few basic requirements.

  • We’re looking for someone who is trustworthy. We all work together on this site and it won’t go anywhere if we can’t at the very least trust each other. That said, you cannot be working for any other visual band related news sites.
  • A close second to being trusthworthy, we’re looking for someone who has the ability and desire to be a dedicated staff member. You need to have the free time to find news, write up posts and work on the site. It is time consuming.
  • Basic website knowledge. We use WordPress to run Shattered-Tranquility.net.
  • Fluent in English. You don’t have to be a native speaker, but you must be able to read, write and communicate in English.
  • Some level of profiency in the Japanese language. You should be able to romanize band names, band member’s names, new release information, song titles, tour / live titles, livehouse names and place names. The more translation experience the better, however, we do have staff members only for translating so please keep that in mind.
  • A knowledge and love for Japanese visual bands.
  • A willingness to promote the site and work on developing various areas of the site.
  • The drive to keep up on the news surrounding visual bands. This means all types of visual bands. Not just your favourites.
  • You must be able to keep in mind that Shattered-Tranquility.net is a team, not a competition. You need to be able to work well with others.

  • Be reachable on a regular basis via e-mail, MSN or AIM.
  • Be able to keep your inner fan girl (or fan boy) under wraps when dealing with site related issues such as posts, bands, the staff blog and comments. BE PROFESSIONAL.
