Kiryu to broadcast 100th oneman live on Nico Nico

己龍 (Kiryu) is currently busy with their large country-wide tour, which kicked off on April 29th in Okinawa. One of the dates in the tour will mark their 100th oneman performance and, to celebrate, the concert will be broadcasted live on Nico Nico!

The concert will take place at Kanagawa Kawasaki Club Citta on June 3rd. Nico Nico will start broadcasting at 18:00 (JST) on this page. Users who can’t watch the broadcast live have the option of time-shifting it to be watched at a later date by clicking on the yellow タイムシフト予約済 (time-shift yoyakuzui) button up until half an hour before the show starts. Please keep in mind that time-shifts are only available for a limited amount of time. You can register for a Nico Nico account here.

Kiryu’s tour will take them through all 47 prefectures of Japan, leading up to the two-day tour final taking place Tokyo Zepp Diver City in September. All dates can be found in this post!

nil admirari down one

Sad news for nil admirari fans. The band, who started their activities in January, announced last week that drummer 那捺 (Nao) would be leaving them after their May 14th live at Takadanobaba Area.

Although the live was yesterday, fans might like to read the members’ comments about this decision. Translation was provided by Shattered-Tranquility.net’s vii-vii.

We are truly sorry for this disappointing announcement.

After being playing together for four months and knowing him for eight, we have shared so many emotions together with Nao.

With the existence of our fans, both myself and the other members will be able to overcome this dark wall that blocks us now.

We all don’t share the same values we did when we first started and unless we are unified in our opinions, we can’t respect each other and continue to work towards our goal together.

But coming to this decision of Nao leaving was not easy and it took a lot of discussion.

But Nao wants to do things that differ from what the rest of us want. It was a difficult decision to come to.

Us remaining members have decided that we will all treat Nao’s leaving with smiles, as a positive thing.

So, we would like fans to not cry, but smile during his last live on the 14th of May.

We will always watch over Nao fondly and we would like our fans to help support him in what he does.

In the four months that nil admirari have been together, we would like to thank you all for your support. I don’t know if it’s a bad thing for our fans that Nao is leaving but
I sincerely think that in order for us to keep playing the music we make, we all have to be in it and agree together.

Nil admirari has been together for only four short months. Working with Nao has brought us both joys and sadness.

Lately I don’t know what I would have done without all the support of my band members and our fans. I want to continue playing with nil admirari for more than four months, but I also want to do my own thing.

We have all talked together many times, but it was decided that the best solution was for me to leave.

I don’t think of this as a retirement, but as a graduation.

I cannot be myself and play with nil admirari .

I face my graduation thinking of the things I want to do.

I’ll still continue working as a musician though, of course.

I have only a short time left with the band, so let’s do our best as members and fans to make it the best time together!!

Yu~ki’s Jewelry Line: Mother of Life

For those who regularly visit Mana’s Midi:Nette Shop, you must’ve noticed a new category that popped up several months ago– “Mother of Life.” And as the title of this post suggests, Mother of Life is a jewelry line that has been started by Yu~ki of Malice Mizer! The jewelry is handcrafted by Yu~ki himself.

Here is a comment from Mana and Yu~ki, found on Mana’s blog! The first part of the comment is from Mana, and then comes Yu~ki’s comment.

We have sudden, hot news for Yu~ki fans and fans of gemstones!

Yu~ki’s own handmade gemstone accessory brand [Mother of Life] is now currently for sale in Midi:Nette’s shop.

To follow the story…
This year I’d met Yu~ki in several different places. He was working on his jewellery and after I was shown them, I began thinking.
And everyone knows that I also love gemstones, so I decided to do something…

We got talking and because Yu~ki isn’t very good at anything computer related, his distribution method plans started to worry me. (-ω-; ﾑﾑ…

I haven’t worked with Yu~ki for ten years. He isn’t coming back as a musician, but as a creative artist. We have worked together in the same band for many years and we have been able to get on very well together during that time, so I don’t see why I can’t support him now.
That is why Midi:Nette will market Yu~ki’s jewellery brand, [Mother of Life].
In commemoration of this new beginning, the following is a comment from Yu~ki.

It’s been a long time, everyone.

I’m currently working at producing my new line, Mother of Life, and have been diligently working behind the scenes of jewellery making. I’m now trying to get my brand up and running, which is now for sale under Midi:Nette.

My designs are mainly like something out of a romantic portrait with various images curved and entwined in wire around the gem. The result is a very original design. So far all the designs in the series have been completed and each carries a certain theme or message with them. So far nothing can be interpreted as being mysterious (lol). During the whole project I’ve gained experience and affection towards my work.

With gemstones, power stones are generally seen as part of fairytales and folklore throughout the world, all with undecided affects. For me, every gemstone is like meeting an important person at an important time. A lot of people think that it would be great to meet wonderful people when traveling, right?

But hang on! Why didn’t I make accessories to do with a bass guitar? For anyone who’s reading this now, I have thought about that too (lol). But for anyone thinking about that, why should feel uncomfortable for thinking “oh, well, that’s life” about changing.

The more I talk the longer this story is getting…
I keep talking about a lot of different things, but they all come together. They’re all related. It’s all to understand and realize how my new accessory line came to be.

Along with this change came a dramatic change in environment and situations which I’m not familiar, but I got there in the end. It’s too much to explain so I’ll just summarize it up; I haven’t cut all my ties from music. For me, presentation is just one way to exist and right now I have the responsibility of both the joys and the sorrows of creating.

As that is said and done and from now I want to build on my creatively mismatched life. So I’m sure everyone’s thinking “Yu~ki, you’re doing something really strange!” but that’s what gives me the motivation to enjoy what I’m doing and make me happy.

But why are you writing a comment in Mana’s blog?

People are amazing. Every day technology progresses and you can find out anything with the press of a button. Everyone communicated through machines, passing each other by with this technology. “Don’t think! Feel!” as a great master, Bruce Lee said. I earnestly feel that we have become too dependent on technology, up to the point where we would not be able to live without it.

So… Should we leave it all behind? Times are changing. By learning so much it’s my excuse to get away from it (dry laugh).
I’ve become so secluded and frightened of technology that Mana has taken over as my voice.

It’s important to have friends, everyone! Don’t’ live life alone! But we shouldn’t live our lives passively depending on others either. Especially me (lol).

I think writing one page about my new beginning is enough.

Remember when we talked about xTRiPx’s revival a while back? Well, here are the details for you AND some exciting news– within a year, xTRiPx will be swinging back in action! In addition, they are releasing a new single, 「re;lily」, however it will only be distributed to those who attend their oneman on July 20th. And here are the details for their oneman!

lynch. Uploads PV, Samples of All Songs on New Album, “INFERIORITY COMPLEX”

Just under two weeks ago, we brought you details and a track listing of lynch.‘s summer album, INFERIORITY COMPLEX, slated for a June 6th release. Well, if anybody is still waffling on whether or not to go on and order that already, lynch. has graciously uploaded samples of every track on their official home page, along with teensy little thumbnails of the covers of the two different versions.

As Ku had speculated, MIRRORS-we’re not alone- does, indeed, appear to be a rerecording of MIRRORS, the title track of their single from November of last year, but the remaining tracks are all brand-spankin’-new and reflect lynch.’s distinct, easily recognizable style (especially THE FATAL HOUR HAS COME), while showing a progress into numerous other genres, like the beginnings of post-alt progressive metal (NEW PSYCHO PARALYZE), jazzy (post?) hardcore (ANIMA), and radio-friendly alternative rock (A FLARE). I don’t even know how to classify the twangy, funky core of EXPERIENCE but the title sure is apt! I can tell by the samples alone, this is sure to be a controversial album among fans.

If you didn’t catch it already, the band has also updated their main page to reflect this period’s interpretation of the low-key leather look (which is quite reminiscent of… their recent string of low-key leather looks). But perhaps most exciting is that they have uploaded a PV of their new song INFERIORITY COMPLEX, a return to their standard of a fast-paced, scream-heavy foundation and a catchy, layered melodic chorus. This is only the first of two PVs that will come with the INFERIORITY COMPLEX album, the second of which being for the track FROZEN, the June 2012 ending theme of TV Tokyo’s JAPAN COUNTDOWN.

While you wait for the album to drop, kill some time, please your ears, and up that view count on the INFERIORITY COMPLEX video. And make sure you leave a thumbs-up or two.

New Band – D.I.D

Well, there’s certainly news for fans of Para:noir today! Announced earlier, it appears that some of the former members have formed a new band named D.I.D! Though their website does not display their current lineup, it will be announced soon. They’ll be holding their first live at Takadanobaba Area on 2012.7.7, and it will cost ￥3500 to attend.

Though, the day before the live, they’ll be releasing their first mini album! It will be titled 「until the Day I Die」and will come in two types, both costing ￥2500 and featuring five tracks. A demo of the title track has been posted on their website, for anyone who wants to take a listen!

It’s been decided I will be attending AnimeNEXT 2012 in Somerset, NJ as a guest!

Although I will not have a live performance at the convention, I will have a Q&A, autograph session, and maybe more but mainly I am excited to be back at the east coast and to be able to see you all at this event!

Lots of news from 0801弐209336 today! They’re changing their name and they’ll be releasing a new single and mini album in the coming months!

Yesterday they updated their OHP, and announced that they’ll be changing their name from 「0801弐209336」to 「0801弐209XX6」due to pressure from mobile carriers. Though a slight change, they apologize for the inconvenience, and wish that fans will call them by their shortened abbreviation,「ぜろはち」(zero hachi).

Along with that, they have announced two upcoming releases! First off, they’ll be releasing their seventh single on 2012.7.4, titled 「http://www.彼氏募集中.jp」(http://www.kareshiboshuuchuu.jp). It will cost ￥1260 and contain two songs. It’s limited to 1000 copies, so get it while you can!

Also, they have two different mini albums lined for for release, both dropping on 2012.8.22! Both will cost ￥2100 and are, again, limited to 1000 copies. So far, only one track has been listed for each, so we’ll keep you updated as more information comes along.

Kaya SALOME PV preview

The PV preview for the title track of Kaya’s upcoming single has been uploaded to YouTube!

「SALOME」 hits the stores on June 20 and costs 1,890 yen. Further information about the single and its accompanying tour were detailed here .

To celebrate this release, Kaya will be holding several instore events in June and July.

ADAPTER and lix to perform at Anime North 2012

ADAPTER。 and lix. are amongst the musical guests for Canadian anime convention Anime North this year!

Anime North will take place from May 25th to May 27th at the Toronto Congress Centre and Doubletree International Plaza Hotel in Toronto, Canada. Concerts are scheduled to be held at the TCC HALL C on Saturday May 26th at 19:00. More information is available at their website.

This is the second convention lix. has planned for Canada this month. The band is also one of the headlining musical guests at Otafest (May 18-20), where they will perform twice. The schedule is up on the Otafest website.

UnsraW add second live to final performance

UnsraW announced in March that the band would come together one last time for a final live at Ikebukuro EDGE on June 23rd. Tickets for that live promptly sold out minutes after going on sale, and to meet the high demand, the band has added a second live to their schedule!

This live will take place on June 22nd, also at Ikebukuro EDGE. Details will be announced at a later date.
