KENZI of The Dead Pop Stars and ANTI FEMINISM fame is notorious for some pretty crazy stunts on stage. He’s lit himself on fire, gnawed on fluorescent lights, scrapped with pro wrestlers, and rolled around on thumbtacks. Quite the extreme performer, he has recently announced a couple of shows where he will perform a solo act: 「怪奇!!動物ｱｼﾞﾃｰﾀｰ」 (“Bizarre!! Animal Agitator”).
This act will be included at the following lives:
March 10 @ Tokyo Kinema Club
with Rin, Black Gene For the Next Scene, DIAURA, Lycaon, Megaromania, N@H-ﾉｱ-, SOMATIC GUARDIAN
April 30 @ Osaka Big Cat
with Rin, Black Gene For the Next Scene, Lycaon, Vll-Sense, BIOSPHIA, MoNoLith, N@H-ﾉｱ-, PaRADEiS
There has been absolutely no explanation or hint at what to expect from these acts, but aside from hoping there’s no animal cruelty involved, I can’t help but to be morbidly curious.
Any speculation, readers?

ケミカルピクチャーズ (Chemical Pictures) has recently come back on stage after quite a long activity pause that followed Schwarz’s departure.
Today, they’ve updated their OHP with a complete renewal, and it also appears that they’ve finally found two new members! One of them have been part of the band for a few weeks already as he was on the latest pictures available on the site, his name is 子雲 (Shiun) [ex-SCISSOR, MiU] and he’s apparently their official drummer from now on!
We don’t really know anything about the second member that just joined the band, but his name is ルドルフ (Rudolf) and he’ll probably be taking the 2nd guitar!
There’s no picture of the band with their new members so far, but the new version of the site looks pretty cool, and if you take a look at the profile section, here’s what you’ll see ! What do you think?

HITT, ex-Otokage, is one of those Jrockers that takes plenty of camera phone pictures for all to see and a few days ago one very interesting one was uploaded to his Myspace photo album.
Looking over some other photos in the album, I noticed something else that made me giggle– while other pictures had 7 or 11 comments, this particular one got 50 comments, after only being recently uploaded.
Also, last week a new song was uploaded to HITT’s blog (its called ‘face‘). You can listen to it here.
Villain to disband…(?)

Sad news again… with one of the most popular indie bands of the past year, Villain, which is going to disband. The news has been spread for a few days already thanks to Phantasmagoria (who apparently saw them live), I’ve just waited for a few days for the situation to become clear, but it seems that the band will really disband after their oneman live on June 26th, as CROW MUSIC is not adding any more lives for the band, but everyone should wait for an official announcement to confirm all this.
Other than that, there’s been quite an interesting debate on why the band was disbanding… now quoting Phantasmagoria :
Not sure, but it’s not surprising after what happened recently. Aoi’s girlfriend comes to shows as a fan and stands in second row and makes it obvious that they’re dating (they both wear the same necklaces and rings) and she brags all over her blog that he is hers. A bunch of Japanese fans tore her to pieces on an anonymous bulletin board, and Aoi posted a response in his blog, cutting down the band’s fans in response. Aoi apologizes, his blog is deleted, then a week later they announce their disbandment out of the blue
If this is the actual reason of their disbandment, don’t you think it’s a bit too much ??? Is it forbidden to have a girlfriend when you’re part of a VK band ? This whole thing reminds me of people whining when they learnt Miyavi was getting married…

It seems that 蜂-biene- has recently updated their official webpage with some new pictures, the main one being kind of strange as we can see Yuuki with a snail shell ! And according to the profile pictures, he’s actually wearing it during the lives as well ! Anyway, here you go !

Well, as most of us know, snooping through the blogs of our favorite bands/artists always turn up quite the interesting results. Espcially in the case of Jrockers.
A few days ago, Maya of LM.C posted something that actually makes me think… “If he has time to post something like this, he must be having a very non-stressful day”. And that thought made me happy for some reason…I must be strange myself.

The newly formed band アゲハビスケッツ (Ageha Biscuits ; introduced back in January) that will soon release it’s very first maxi-single 「魔法使いキャリー」 (Mahoutsukai Carrie – The Wizard Carrie) and that recently joined SPEED DISK (label of bands like UnsraW, D=OUT, NightingeiL, Moran and some others…) has a funny random thing written on their official website !
But Big Ern is too lazy to write an explanation, nothing better than a good old screenshot !
So yeah, for the blinds, most bands write the year of their creation at the bottom of the page, but Ageha Biscuit wrote two dates : 2009 ; and 2011 ! Are they some kind of mediums who saw in a premonitory dream that they would be disbanding in 2011 ?
Ernie won’t ever write anything like that anywher : Ernie is eternal !

Just in case they hadn’t released enough, Phantasmagoria is putting out a special DVD box set called 「HISTORY OF Phantasmagoria 2004 ~ 2008」. It’s a four disc collection for 16000 yen.
Now before we get into all the messy details, I want you to take a close look at the photo that Kisaki posted with it in his journal. Both of them (he had the first one orignally and when I went back today to double check everything, he’d change the photo…).
Look reallllly closely.
Do you notice anything weird? I didn’t take a second glance at it, until it was pointed out to me. Then I laughed. It’s like that LSD mix up…
So, what’s in it? Well, there’s a gorgeous 36 page booklet and the disc contents are as follows:
DISC 1: A complete live digest disc. A documentary of all their lives from their formation to their final performance.
DISC 2 & 3: PICK UP Live Disc
All of Phantasmagoria’s songs from their turning point live to pick up lives.
DISC 4: 2008 Revival Live Disc
A compilation of their performances from when they lived the seal on May 3rd, until their disbanding live on August 31st.

… Just when I thought we’d seen it all, Gackt has become the sound producer and supervisor for, well. This.
So if you’re a little confused, I’ll fill you in.
It’s a slot machine. No, I’m not joking Gackt has worked in collaboration with Yamasa, and created a slot machine with his mark on it.
As you can see from the above photo, it’s called Bounty Killer and included with the machine is a not yet released song from Gackt himself. You can check out the special page for the machine over at Yamasa by clicking here.

….and no one heard from him again.
It sounds kind of creepy when I put it like that, but there’s more news about a certain member of a certain band that seems to have disappeared.
I’m just being dramatic. Adrienne introduced them to us last month and at the time they had four members, but now when I visit the OHP there are only three. I’m horrible at math but I’m pretty sure there’s one less member. 翔也 [Shouya], the guitarist that doesn’t play violin, is no where to be found on the OHP. If you click on the blog tab on their OHP you can see they still have a tag for his journal entries, but there are no entries by him. I’m not sure if it’s because he never made any, or if they’ve been deleted, but they’re gone. There’s no mention of it in their “What’s new” section either.
Usually when members leave bands there’s a lot of apologizing and lots of vague explanations about certain members wanting to go in a different path, or something along those lines. But here there’s nothing… I think it’s strange.
On a lighter, less creepy side. Their next live is on April 30th at Holiday Shinjuku.

Remember Amon☆March, who we posted about here?
Well, turns out their vocalist, Aiki has left the band as of March 2nd. On vkdb, they have only two members listed as remaining; guitarist Rin and bassist Arata. Apparently, Aiki left the band to do more band work around the metropolitan area, and from reading his blog it seems like he’s been busy going to band meetings, practices and recordings.
It’s actually really confusing, as everything except vkdb and the message on their OHP makes it seem like he’s still in the band. He still has them linked on his blog, and still has written he’s the vocalist for that band. The band’s OHP also says that as of February 28th, because Aiki was joining a “certain band” he was doing activities in the metropolitan area. So, what’s going on?
In his journal on March 15th, he posted a photo of vkdb, of a band page where he’s listed as the vocalist. The band’s name apparently starts with an “A” and apparently formed on December 27th — Amon☆March is listed as starting on November 21st, so it’s apparently not their page. His name only appears on Amon☆March’s page, and I haven’t been able to find any bands that began on December 27th, 2007.
Any ideas? I’ve skimming his journal back until the end of January and I can’t really find anything of interest. Lots of photos of candy, talk of going to band meetings, voice training and what not, but from what I’ve seen, no mentioning of band names. Maybe we’ll just have to wait and let time tell.

This passed, but I thought it was amusing so I’m going to post it.
There’s only one thing I love more than bananas. And that’s Loopashcest. If you don’t understand, soon you will.
Loopash is known for switching members from band to band to do support playing. For example Yuki (ex HeaRt) played in Michiru project, and Minami (ex MASK) played support drums for HeaRt/Neu during their transition. I love it when they do that. Anyway, this brings me to the topic of my post.
On March 5th, there were two interesting bands playing to celebrate Michiru’s birthday. For those of you who don’t know, Michiru (ex MASK) is the Kisaki, if you will, of LoopAsh Records.

The credit goes to thatgirlsfire at the Metronome community. The user posted a translation here, explaining that the bass player for Metronome had a bit of car trouble, due to ice and snow, the company’s band ran into a wall twice, and from the image he posted of the car it seems quite alot of frontal damage was done. Thankfully no other cars were involved and he was alone in the van so no one else was hurt, and he only has some minor bruises but you can tell from the tone of his entry that he feels really bad about the whole situation. Poor Riu ;~;
OH also this past month, Metronome finally uploaded their new pics and Shintarou’s hair…is special O~ov…

If you haven’t seen Ryouki recently, you’re lucky. He looks busted and tore-up. :/
In the first two he’s with Tenten, and the last one is with Towa.
All that considered, I still have love for Ryouki. And Chobi. Mostly Ryouki though I sometimes wonder about Chobi.
But what do you guys think?
