This year, governments of different countries have tried to pass anti-copyright and piracy laws, and some even were aimed to aid the music industry. In addition, many music companies, including those in Japan which handle some of our favorite visual kei bands, have increasingly been trying to prevent piracy and stealing of their music (this includes taking down youtube videos, notifying downloading sites to take down a certain file, etc.) Now, you all probably know what I’m going to ask next:

What do you think about piracy, and sharing music? And the attempts to prevent it?

What problems exist in the Visual-kei scene, and what are your opinions on it?

Kind of a vague question, so here’s some things you can talk about to get you started: bias against the Visual-kei scene, marketing gimmicks, companies increasingly searching out their artists PVs/music/pictures on youtube, etc and deleting content, bands not going overseas or being able to go overseas, the evolution of the visual kei scene, etc…
