Golden Bomber’s guitarist, Yutaka, posted this picture on his blog, and for some reason or another I found it amusing.

76fa9979-s

It’s a picture of the panda Shun and his surprise birthday cake. Can’t you see the excitement written all over his face?!

This brings back memories of when I went to one of their live shows last year, Yutaka was made to do a pudding-chugging challenge halfway through their set, then he went berserk and went to the bathroom to do xxx with a blow-up doll. Yeah, interesting shows, haha.

He sure loves his pudding.

Reading the blogs of various band members is always entertaining. Like many, I always find myself going back to whichever person has the most interesting pictures and content. A while ago I was reading the blog of Homura’s vocalist, Kayuki’s blog and came across this picture:

homura

It never fails to make me smile! What picture or blog post does this for you?

As an Ameba friend of Zero of D’espairsRay, I quickly noticed that whenever he made a private entry for only those who are his “Amemba”, without fail it would feature a picture of himself. There have been countless posts and countless pictures, but this one is by far the best:

Whenever I need a laugh, I remember that even world-famous musicians cannot resist making duck lips with Pringles.

HITT, ex-Otokage, is one of those Jrockers that takes plenty of camera phone pictures for all to see and a few days ago one very interesting one was uploaded to his Myspace photo album.

HITT that

Looking over some other photos in the album, I noticed something else that made me giggle– while other pictures had 7 or 11 comments, this particular one got 50 comments, after only being recently uploaded.

Also, last week a new song was uploaded to HITT’s blog (its called ‘face‘). You can listen to it here.

Camino eating Whataburger. If you are near one, you should try it out :9! The band also has posted tons and tons of short random videos of their trip to Dallas. Check them out on their blog. Flip through the blog – you’ll see them also eating some Texas bbq. Truly funny, anyone else likes to eat at Whataburger?

Every once in a while, LM.C posts a blog that either makes me go “aww” or “wtf”. And here is one that is so random, it’s cute to me. Plus, I’m a really big Gundam fan myself!

lmc-gundam

no particular reason….

In ODAIBA,  I went to say hello to the 1/1 scale of GUNDAM ☆with maya.

It’s just really “WOW”, you know!

You should check out the life-sized “GUNBAM”, indeed.

swl-the-blogging-pheonomenon

I’m sure pretty much all of us closely follow the blogs of the bandmen (or women) we like most. We get excited when they post a new photo, or recognize fan letters or art, or just plain post about what they did on their day off. Blogging is a phenomenon world wide, and it seems to be bringing musicians and their fans together better than ever before.

However… is there such a thing as too much blogging? Some of these guys seem to be a little too addicted! For example, I follow Rui of Jewel, who just started a brand new blog on April 1st. However, he’s already up to 690 posts in less than a month! It seems every time I refresh, there’s something new. Perhaps twitter would be a better medium for him?

So, what other musicians do you all think post too much? Who do you wish would write more? Let us know what you think!

Over at the Fatima fansite Nakigoe, the website maintainer was nice enough to post many translations of the article Hitomi has running in SHOXX magazine. His commentary is all at once bizarre, profound, and humorous. Today I’m sharing a snippet from one such article about an encounter with a train chikan [pervert].

It was raining the morning I met the most impressive female chikan ever. That day the rain was added to with strong wind and in spite of raising my umbrella, the area around my thighs was completely wet. Being in a crowded train with the humidity and the feel of wet material on you is an unbearable thing. The handle of an umbrella gave me further discomfort. The circumstances of the crowded train that day had me basically unable to move, and then I felt the handle of an umbrella against my ass-crack. I twisted my body in an attempt to escape, but I just ended up returning to the same position as before. There was nothing I could do about it so I grabbed the handle of the umbrella and moved it to my hip. After doing that, the handle was pushed through my legs and hooked on my crotch. I recognized that this was being done on purpose then, and at last turned to glare at the woman who seemed to be in her late twenties. She didn’t turn her eyes away, conversely she made me feel as if I was doing the bad thing here. Once again I removed the umbrella handle and once more she put it back in the same spot.

There was nothing I could do so I turned my body 180 degrees and faced her, glaring at her strongly. As usual she held my gaze and then pushed the umbrella handle against my XX. I was completely blown away by her attitude. Her natural disposition was probably a sadist. She kept me in this situation until we arrived at my station. After that I never had a second encounter with her. If we were to meet again, I would like to say this to her, ‘That time, it hurt a little.’

As the stereotype is that all chikan are male who hit on females, I can imagine Hitomi’s surprise. Also having encountered a chikan myself, it can be quite violating!

Well, as most of us know, snooping through the blogs of our favorite bands/artists always turn up  quite the interesting results. Espcially in the case of Jrockers.

A few days ago, Maya of LM.C posted something that actually makes me think… “If he has time to post something like this, he must be having a very non-stressful day”. And that thought made me happy for some reason…I must be strange myself.

What exactly does Maya’s moco chan look like, anyway, then?

My moco chan is nothing like this@

The original is posted here on the OHP blog in Japanese.

The facts speak for themselves.

If you’re not sure, this website compares the number of results it gets from google when you search for a certain thing. This amused me to no end.

I saw this on X JAPAN’s OHP today, and it made me laugh. I don’t know how many other people have seen it before, so I figured it would be worthwhile to post.

Ever wondered, what would happen if Hello Kitty decided to be a member of X JAPAN? Well, now we know.

Gotta love the eye shadow. And the hair.

As it says on Barks.jp, this cute little Kitty goes by is “Yoshikitty”.

swl-girls-clothing-day

It’s been a while since our last SWL, and this was something I’ve been meaning to post! A couple weeks ago, we talked about the three themes R指定 (R-Shitei) decided to have for three of their lives: Uniform Day, Girl’s Clothing Day and Occult Day.

I wanted to post about the Girl’s Clothing Day for a while, because I found it pretty hilarious, and I thought other reader’s would as well.

Before the actual day, Mamo seemed pretty anxious! A fan wrote to him suggesting that he dress as a maid, but he said that was definitely a no. He hopes that everyone can forget him wearing this outfit. Since Mamo constantly talks about sailor style school uniforms, his choice was definitely expected.

1057068058_94 20e505d0

Kaede said that the live was fun, and that he feels he made a pretty awesome nurse.

a48d5e6a

Ultra Z’s comment was more general, he said all three days were a lot of fun, and he thinks that the members had more fun than anyone. The only unfortunate thing is that photos of Ultra Z’s costume were never posted. Too embarrassing, I wonder? Haha.

Nanahoshi, who was a maid, added that everyone seemed to have a good time, which made him glad, and that he laughed a lot. And of course we have Hirotaka very pretty in his dress, who said that it’s his ‘perverted pattern’

59b7a743 8ae04e8f

Seems like it was a pretty fun night for everyone, and the members really did seem to put their all into it. So, what do you think? Who was your favourite?

Personally, if I saw Mamo dressed like that, I would not only realize who he was, I probably would think he actually was a school girl. Nanahoshi actually suits his costume. But admittedly, my favourites are Nurse Kaede, and pretty dress Takahiro. I wasn’t expecting anyone to dress up as a nurse, so I thought it was a cool idea. And the shiney blue dress, just seems to go so against Takahiro’s regular image.

Please remember we’d love to get your SWL’s! So if there’s a blog entry, song lyrics, quote, photo, translation, etc., from a visual band member that you liked (for whatever reason) send it our way to post on the site! We’d love to hear your comment about it too!

Please note that you can send things in Japanese, but we can not guarantee they will be posted as all posts on the site are in English, and we don’t always have the time to translate entries, articles, songs, and so forth.

So, today at work I decided to take up translating some of Tenten’s blog again. Making my way through the posts, I came across this gem, which amused far more than it probably should have. I showed it to my friend Ailea and to Mija, and they too thought it was funny so I figured hey, why not post it here.
