Thank you to those of you who have so far participated in Shattered-Tranquility.net’s 2012 Winter Raffle!

We’ve made a few improvements on the prize list, and have added a “Prize Library” to the site! Not only have we added more prizes, but with more prizes comes an extra winner!

Some of the new prizes include an upgraded shopping spree, from 2000 yen to 3000 yen. More band goods, and more magazines! So make sure you check it out!

If you’ve been to the site within the last twenty-four hours or so, you’ll notice that Shattered-Tranquility.net has undergone a bit of a layout change! We’re still in the process of working out a few bugs and adding a few things to make it easier to use, so please bear with us.

If you look at the top navigational bar, you’ll notice a brand new page! We’ve been working hard to get this ready for our readers, and there will be more coming with time! The newest feature to the site is the ‘Venue Navi’! The Venue Navi shows information and easy-to-follow directions on various venues around Japan where visual bands play! We’re working on getting more and more up there for you, so check back often!

Don’t forget, we’ve added the new Weekly Discussion Question feature, and we have a few more exciting things up our sleeves!

Well, it’s officially October 1st, and as we announced a day or two ago via Twitter, we’re re-opening! We’ve updated our staff, thought of some new ideas and are ready to start bringing you news and information about the visual kei scene once again.

It’s great to be back, and some of our staff members have included their own comments.

A huge thanks to all our readers and supporters. After 4 years of bringing you the latest news from the vk scene – we took time away to regroup and we are back stronger than ever! Thank you for your understanding and we hope we can count on your continue support!!

I want to start by apologizing for the slowing down and the lack of updates that lead to our hiatus. I know that it frustrated a lot of readers, and it was difficult for us as well. Taking a break wasn’t an easy decision to make, but having had the time to step back and regroup, I’m sure that Shattered-Tranquility.net will be stronger, more organized and better than we’ve been before!

Thank you to everyone who’s stuck with us. We’ll continue to bring you news about your favourite bands, and I hope that you’ll stick with us!

Hello everyone, it’s Juri speaking!

First of all, I’d like to join you all in celebrating Shattered Tranquility’s grand re-opening. So, hooray! Up until now, I’ve been just like the rest of you– a big visual kei fan, frequent visitor of the site, and a dedicated member of the S-T community. And like the rest of you, I was forlorn and wistful to learn of Shattered Tranquility’s hiatus. But now, I’m delighted–just as much as you all are– and honoured to come back with Shattered Tranquility as a new staff member!

That being said, it’s nice to meet you all. I’m very elated about working as a staff member for Shattered tranquility! It might take a while for me to take a hold of the reins, so I ask of you all to be a little patient with me. But other than that, I will do my best to help keep Shattered Tranquility up and lively as ever.

Well, that’s enough chit chat for me, let’s get onto the news!

Hi guys! I’m Bomi, a dedicated fan and worshiper of the Visual kei scene! I just had to apply for the staff (because I fell in love with Ernie the first moment I saw it a few years ago) and I don’t know by what luck am I writing this right now. But I am and I’ll make sure to participate with everything I can dig up and translate, for you all!~ I’ll give my best to bring you all the latest news about our favorite artists (so Ernie may notice me too T_T)

Ok – we are going to go on a mini hiatus buuuuuut we want to throw out a neat project idea to keep connected with readers. Actually not just for us to keep connected but for fans all over the world to meet each other! We are going to call it: VK BLOG PALS NETWORK.

Ever wanted more vk friends, what about more readers to your personal blog or even a pen pal from a different state or country? Join our new project! After we get a good amount of bloggers joining up – we will make a master blog/url list that have the blogger’s name and location so you can find friends near your state/country or gain a new international friend!

Some pointers:

1. Must have a personal public blog! (tumblr, wordpress, blogspot, livejournal etc are fine)
2. If you’d like a second penpal, pick them from the master list or contact us and we’ll find an additional match for you
3. We will pick a blog match for you based on age and hobbies
4. For holidays you can send a postcard or letter to your pen pal!
