That’s about to change. Following short messages of apology and excitement from the members, Guruguru Eigakan has announced a resumption of activity to begin on April 1st, 2012 at Ikebukuro BlackHole. The show is a one man titled 「四月バカの日に突然活動再開！？なのか？？ワンマンショー！！」 (“Yongatsu Baka no Hi ni Guuzen Katsudou Saikai!? Nanoka?? One Man Show!!”)
Tickets are already on sale.

Hey, it’s been a while. I’m Maeda Kazutomo, the drummer of Guruguru Eigakan. We’ve ended our activity restraint and we’re back~ Wow, since we’ve been on break I’ve done a lot of different solo projects…. or rather, most of them were actually just talks, comedy, and mainly speaking performances. I played a little drum and bass in between, but during those times it was a little hard to introduce myself to new people with my full profile, like, “Umm I’m basically a drummer in a visual kei band, and, uh, it’s called Guruguru Eigakan, but.. Eh? Ah, that’s the name of the band. The name of the band is actually Guruguru Eigakan. But right now we’re on a break from activity. Eh? Ah, yeah even though we’re on a break it’s not like like one of use went out and committed a crime or anything, haha. Yeah, that’s right. So that’s why I don’t really have a “main” project that I’m working on right now…. that’s why I’m doing support and other solo activities like talks and comedy, and all kinds of other stuff like that. Ah, so what’s my title then? Hmm How should I say it… Umm… let’s see, I’m basically the drummer of a visual kei band, uh, it’s called Guruguru Eigakan…” and like that, it would just never end. But from now on, I’ll be able to just say “I’m the drummer of Guruguru Eigakan!” and that makes things much more convenient. But I’m not coming back from the activity break just for the sake of convenience! Well, even though we call it a revival we’re keeping it low profile and carefree appropriate for people of our age.. age appropriate… meaning old people. Well, people do tend to keep getting older don’t they… Oy! We are a visual kei band yo! Well, whuttu we gon’ do… whuttu we gon’ do, haha, quit using cliche Osaka-ben!! We’re visual kei yo!!!! Eh? I talk too much? I’m sorry. Well, everybody please come back and watch over us with your waaaarm eyes. Love us a little, love us a looooot. Wow, that’s such an old expression, seriously wow.. Anyways, let’s meet again at our live!

DANGER☆GANG Returns

Good news! It looks like DANGER☆GANG is back, and not just for a one-day revival! The band’s been awfully quiet since Thera and Rei left departed, but with new members Mizuki (bass) and Harasu (drums), it looks like they’re finally ready to get moving again.
Their website hasn’t been fully updated with information on the new members yet, but they do have a couple lives ahead, in addition to one they just played on the 21st.

ZIGZO Revival

Just to counter-balance all the sad news on band break ups, I’ve thought it’d be nice and uplifting to report on all these revivals & reunions! This next one is a big one I’m personally incredibly stoked about.
ZIGZO, something of a minor super band with ex-members from MALICE MIZER, L’Arc~en~Ciel, and BY-SEXUAL, called it quits a decade ago. But just around the time of the new year information began to spring up about a revival, thanks to a Tweet by drummer Sakura. Now, it’s official — ZIGZO will have a reunion show at Akasaka BLITZ on March 17, 2012, exactly 10 years and 1 day after their dissolution — and that may not be all.
mFound speculates there may be more than a one-day reunion show in the works for the band, who recently revamped their website to include new photos, and who have named the March 17th show “THE 2ND SCENE ZIGZO”, a suggestive title considering the last live was dubbed “THE LAST SCENE ZIGZO”. They are also set to release a CD at this show titled “ZIGZO 20110620″, a 10-track rehearsal live disc recorded at a “secret rehearsal” on June 20, 2011.
Fans and reporters alike expect more news from the band, but we may all have to wait until March 17. I personally can’t possibly overstate my excitement!

Well, BADDIES are a band quite hard to understand, aren’t they?
Hana Shounen BADDIES are going to an activity pause after their autumn tour 「Boys Ride Bicycle」. However, the activity pause refers to doing live shows exclusively, so they will continue on doing media work, writing blogs, recording etc. They plan on coming back in 2012 and then releasing a full album titled 『Bible』. They also state that one of the things on their “to do” list during the activity pause is curing Hiroshi’s cavity (lol).
Billy is coming back! They will hold only 2 lives on 14th and 15th January, both in Ikebukuro Black Hole. The lives are titled “Saturday Night Insanity” and “Marigold of Despair”
On 18th January they will release a single as Billy. The release is named 「マリゴールド」 (Marigold) and will come in 3 types:

JILS makes a return to the scene

In May of 2007, JILS went on an indefinte activity pause. Four years later, they’ve announced that on November 11th, they’ll be making a limited time comeback!
Their oneman live on the 11th is in celebration of the Kreis Label’s 15th anniversary, and it will take place at Shinjuku BLAZE. Tickets cost 5000 yen a piece in advance, or 5500 yen at the door. All those who attend will receive a special souvenier and they will have an important announcement on that day.
The line-up for their comeback will include original members, YUKIYA SHUNSUKE andHIDEYOSHI, as well as support members aie (deadman, the studs) and kazu (ex-Kagerou).
On November 30th, they’ll be releasing a new album called “LAST【SAD】SONG”! The album will contain a total of thirteen tracks plus a DVD for 3500 yen. While the full track list is not yet available, “Innocent Cry”, “LOVER’S NAME” and “endroll.” will be included.
The album is curently available for pre-ordering at CDJapan.
On November 19th they’ll be playing at the “YANAGI ROCK FESTIVAL 2011″ event that takes place at Sendai CLUB JUNK BOX and Sendai MACANA. Tickets for the event cost 3675 yen and one ticket allows you entrance to both live houses.

baroque’s Official Revival

Back in June, we told you that baroque will be having a one day revival on July 17th at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza.
Their free revival live attracted more than 10,000 fans and the band performed a total of 14 songs together for the first time in more than 6 years.
Just a few days ago, the band announced that they will be making a comeback through a oneman live「baroque Re:First Live
IN FUTURE」that will be held on January 6th 2012 @ TOKYO DOME CITY HALL.
Tickets will cost 4500 yen and can be bought here after November 26th.

The second chapter of the KISAKI PROJECT

KISAKI announced via his blog that the second chapter to the KISAKI PROJECT will be starting up with a revival live on November 27th at Akasaka BLITZ!
Not many details are available yet, but he has stated that there will be a new vocalist taking Jui’s place for the second chapter.
More details will be released on August 1st.

baroque’s one day revival

WOW we got alot of emails full of excitement about this! Seems like one of fan favorites: baroque will be coming together for a one night revival on July 17th! Not only is the revival set for the summer but its FREE! Thats right – free live! Ticket ordering is happening at 9am on the 17th (one ticket reservation per person and no line forming before 9am) and will be held at Yokohama Red Brick Warehouse Event Plaza.
The group disbanded back in 2004 so this is a real treat to those who missed out seeing them live.

Missalina Rei year revival

This is pretty bad ass, Shina (ex NOi’X, moll’e node) updated his blog with some cool news. Seems like Missalina Rei will be reviving for a year starting this November. And the cherry on top of this news, it seems like this won’t be just a one time revival! I think we’ll have to wait and see what the Key Party gang brings to fans!

Sendai Kamotsu makes their return

仙台貨物 (Sendai Kamotsu) [Nightmare's alter-ego band], who went on pause “due to bankruptcy” back in November, have announced their return!
The band will kick off the re-start to their activities on July 9th with their tour called “「HERO」～帰ってきた癒しの宅配便～” (“HERO” ~ Kaettekita Iyashi no Takuhaibin~).
Dates and venues are as follows.
July 9th @ Pacifico Yokohama Kokuritsu Hall
July 11 th @ Zepp Sendai
July 15th @ BIG CAT
July 16th @ Club Diamond Hall
Tickets for all shows cost 5500 yen and go on sale starting June 19th.
On their OHP, they are also selling Sendai Kamotsu jump suits, caps and T-shirts!
You can buy a jump suit and cap combo for 5250 yen and a t-shirt for 3000 yen. The jump suits come in two sizes (medium and large) whereas the t-shirts are in one size only.

Schwarz Stein’s one-day revival

Kaya announced on his blog that Schwarz Stein will be having a one-day revival live [Recurrence of Hallucination] to commemorate the band’s 10th anniversary.
The one-day revival will take place on July 31st (Sun) @ Takadanobaba AREA.
Tickets will cost 4000 yen and the live will start at 18:30PM.
For overseas fans, you can purchase your tickets through CDJapan.
In addition, Schwarz Stein will also be releasing an album entitled [Recurrence of Hallucination].

Rugia(g)Gram, who have disbanded back in 2009, have decided to have a one-day revival on a charity event on April 24th! If you don’t remember the band, the members were as follows:

Kuroyume to release new single

Kuroyume’s vocalist Kiyoharu announced the band’s revival during their concert on the 26th February.
Other than that, they will also be releasing a new single in May.
Kuroyume held their revival live concert at Yoyogi First Gymnasium on February 26th, officially restarting the band’s activities. Although it’s their first time to hold a live at Yoyogi First Gymnasium., they gathered more than 10,000 fans and the two members heated up the venue as soon as they showed up on the stage.
During the MC, Kiyoharu said with a smile: “I’m sorry! We revived!” and announced suddenly “Our new single will be released in May.” and “If possible, we’d like to make and release new songs.” So keep your eyes on them!

hurts is another band which will have a one-day revival soon! They have disbanded back in 2008 and the members were:

BLOOD to return in 2011

In 2008, BLOOD announced that they will be disbanding after their last tour.
However, guitaist Kiwamu recently posted a picture on his facebook that seemed like the band will be having a revival.
According to Kiwamu, 3rd period BLOOD members vocalist Fu-ki and bassist Kaeda got married and had retired from the music scene.
Therefore there is a change in band members.
So far not much information have been released but it does looks like BLOOD will be having a tour at Meguro Rockmaykan on the June 4th.
So stay tuned for more details.
