Good news! It looks like DANGER☆GANG is back, and not just for a one-day revival! The band’s been awfully quiet since Thera and Rei left departed, but with new members Mizuki (bass) and Harasu (drums), it looks like they’re finally ready to get moving again.
Their website hasn’t been fully updated with information on the new members yet, but they do have a couple lives ahead, in addition to one they just played on the 21st.

Introducing Redel

Being the queen of obscure, under-appreciated visual bands, I bring you another band worth checking out. Redel (リデル) has been around since 2006 (once under the name Re.:.Del) but hasn’t exactly been making waves, perhaps because their music style isn’t what Japan is used to — or ready for.
Vocal: 綺音 (Ayane) [→ Rydell+Noghte → Serpentine†Ghost]
Guitar: Mu-min
Bass: t93 [→ Radical MiMiC → GIGA VIRUS → nicht]
Redel’s website refers to their work as “exhibitions of monochrome nightmares full of hatred”, but a snippet from closet child CD, which vends their latest release, more concretely calls them a “90s-style hatred dark-style” band. Their website states:
Existing on the other side of the ordinary, the backbone of taboo “negative emotions” of “grief”, “enmity”, “mental anguish”, “abnormal lust”, “hatred”, “rage”, “lies”, “death” held by each member is carried by the mass of sound consisting of NW, ALTERNATIVE, HR/HM, GOTHIC, INDUSTRIAL, NOISE etc. and spat out; the “black existence” of Redel has been established…
The fact that they’ve played with bands such as Calmando Qual and My heaven’s luck sisters may tell you a thing or two; they fit right in. Somewhat reminiscent of Aliene Maφriage but with a generally slower-tempo repertoire, Redel easily falls into the category of industrial music. Their performances are chilling; Ayane has a powerful presence behind the microphone stand, Mu-min energetically thrashes about the stage, and the seemingly-docile t93 turns startling when he starts swinging heavy metal chains around the stage. (Watch out!)
The band put out their first mini album in December, which is also the first release available outside of their live house shows (you can pick it up at Closet Child CD).

It will contain 2 discs, one of a live performance and one with offshoot videos of the band and the tour. It’s limited to 500 copies and the cost for this DVD is 6800 yen.

Don’t let the photograph fool you. With questionable lyrics and a vocalist who puts on performances in backless shorts — and nothing but backless shorts — this potentially controversial band has already begun to establish a “sexual harassment” theme. Though they’ve only played a handful of shows so far, their set tends to open with a different short video depicting some kind of debachery or another.
Their first single 「知ったかぶりのBaby Girl」 (“Shittakaburi no Baby Girl”) has already dropped as a part of a three-month consecutive release campaign, and lucky attendees to their second live were also able to pick up a distribution-only copy of 「企業舎弟」(“Kigyou Shatei“), otherwise unreleased. Both CDs contain only the title track.
「MoGuRO」, their next single, comes out on November 26th at their live at Ikebukuro CYBER, followed by a third in December.

It was announced that Dr. Hibiki (ex-The studs) has officially joined Otogadead, after playing as their support for a while! Also, the band will have 3 months consecutive releases in form of digital singles! The first release date for 「二足歩行のススメ」(Nisokuhokou no susume) is on 25th November, next one for 「色即是空エトセトラ」 (Shikisokuzekuu et cetera) on 25th December and the last one-「宣誓メタモルフォーゼ」 (Sensei metamorphose) on 25th January. The cost for all singles will be 200 Yen, but no tracklists were announced. The important is that these releases can only be purchased with WebMoney.

MEJIBRAY is a band formed by vocalist 綴 (Tsuzuku), who some of you might also known from VanessA. Soon after VanessA’s disbandment the vocalist 元規 (Genki) started a new band, first with support musicians, who then joined the band later.

For those of you who, like me, are anxiously cycling through any and every lynch. release, pumping yourselves up in anticipation of the November 9 release of the new single, MIRRORS, here’s a little something to tide you over for the rest of the grueling wait.
lynch.’s OHP is now featuring their new look! Still clad in leather (a rockstar classic) that has come to be a trademark of lynch. since their 2009 album, SHADOWS. Not much of an image change, but really, who’s complaining? You know what they say, “If it ain’t broke…”
The band has also uploaded the teeniest, tiniest, “Internet forum avatar”-sized preview of the cover of the album. If you strain your eyes enough, you’ll see it’s rather minimalistic. It’s unclear from the image if the cover is a solid color or if it’s a reflective surface apropos of the “mirrors” theme, so we’ll have to wait until we get our copies to see!

It seems that we had no luck on this one. Announcement they made on 6th October on their live is nothing good. They will be disbanding after their live on 12th February 2012, which will be held in Ikebukuro Black Hole.

CDJapan is offering a special treat for Kiryu fans!
For customers who buy all three versions – that’s A, B, and C – of Kiryu’s newest single “Kyosei” – out October 26 – by October 17, 2011 10:00:00 (Japan Standard Time GMT+9), CDJapan will include a special limited edition coffee tumbler featuring a group shot of the band.

It was announced that THOMAS will be releasing their first mini-album on 2nd November this year. The title is “Determination”, it will contain 6 tracks and official cost of the mini is 2,100 yen. The tracklist follows:
