Hiya, kiddies! It’s your favorite Ernie here today with a little bit of laughter and joy for you guys and gals.
Have you ever wondered what Hiyori of 己龍 (Kiryu) looks like as an AKB member?
Let’s be honest with ourselves– you’d prefer to see me in that cute little outfit, sashaying around, but I’m sure Hiyori does it almost as well.
It seems that Hiyori did this in Sendai yesterday for Kiryu’s Instore. Lucky fans~!
What do you guys and gals think? Cosplaying v-kei guys is pretty popular, but how about v-kei guys cosplaying?
Annnnd, here’s another picture, just for the fun!

Hey guys! It’s been a while–but I know you’ve all missed good ol’ Big Ern and his random posts of Awesome.
Today’s Random Fact answers a question all us V-Kei fans ask at least once: What the heck happens to bandguys when their band disbands? Now, while I now spend my time lavishing away under the sun with a bowl of delicious carrots, not all bandguys follow in my footsteps. Last week we covered the “average Japanese lifestyle” of bandguys-to-salarymen… but this week it just isn’t so.
Anyone remember Remming ? They disbanded back in 2011 and the Singer, Sou, disappeared off the face of the planet…
It seems Sou has popped back onto Ameblo recently and announced that he now works at a brand new Host Club Called “Nine” (or Nin9) down in Kabuki-cho, Shinjuku. That’s right– for the right amount of money, you can share drinks and smiles with him. He’s also put up some pictures of him at work, so check it out!
Big Ern just wants to remind you to be careful with host clubs, ladies and gents. Not everyone is as entertaining as me~!
It’s me, Ern! It’s been a while!
Do we have any old-school fans out there? I have some good news for you!
Just last month, Due’le quartz’s ex-vocalist, Sakito, popped back onto the radar with a new Ameba blog under his real name, Sakioki Hitoshi. From the looks of it he still has a day job as an educator, but his Ameba was created to go along with his pursuit of a stage acting career.
But that’s not all! It’s a two-for-one this time: one of Sakito’s first posts was about a wedding he attended, for former band mate and close friend, Kazuki!
Whether you decide to follow his blog or just poke around the entries, you’re in for plenty of nostalgia. It’s a rare treat to see what a retired bandman is doing so long after leaving the industry! So, old fans, what do you think?
Today’s random fact is about, well kinda, obsessions. If you don’t read artists’ blogs, you might not have noticed this.
Talking about BugLug, Issei really loves Disney, especially Mickey Mouse!
Do you know some more examples of extreme love? Do you have one yourself?
Ernie really loves carrots!
Even though exist†trace doesn’t have a fan club, did you know they recently started a fan community? And what’s better — it’s free! Originally, to sign up for the community, “VANGUARD”, fans had to go to a live and request a membership card at the merchandise booth, but the band has made it so members can also register online. Online registration has a ￥700 yen fee for handling charges (that means so they can mail the card to you!).
Membership is limited to residents of Japan, but it makes sense since the main function of the community is to get priority tickets to their shows.
With their fanbase growing overseas, who knows what the future might bring!

Are any of you familiar with the Golden Globe Awards show? Well guess which rocker has composed the theme song for the Golden Globe Awards this year? That’s right, it’s Yoshiki from XJapan! Let’s take a look at one of his recent tweets, shall we?☆
Yoshiki has released a little snippet of the song which is below:
Yoshiki stated that he wanted to create a beautiful yet edgy theme that fit the edginess and prestige of the Golden Globe Awards. Originally the song came out to be eight or so minutes, but the show only needs two minutes, so the song will be cut down quite a bit. What a shame! Maybe a full version will be released somewhere.
If you want to watch the Golden Globe awards it is on January 15th, which is this Sunday, at 8:00PM-11:00PM EST. Anyone planning on watching?
Today’s random fact will be dedicated to AYABIE as a little celebration of their second single. Yume has been tweeting back to his fans’ response to the news, and one of his fans had asked something quite interesting– they had asked if Yumehito would be playing the guitar in the upcoming new single. Here is his response!
Yumehito: I am playing a guitar solo!
Hello everyone! How many of you know of Pocky Day? Well, Pocky Day in Japan is basically like another Valentine’s day, except you send your friends and loves boxes of Pocky instead of chocolates and roses!
It’s held annually on 11/11. Since this year is 2011, apparently the 11/11/11 made people a little more crazy over the holiday. The fun little holiday is actually more popular in Korea (it’s known as Pepero Day there), but it has a little bit of recognition in Japan as well. And guess which one of our rockers celebrates, or at least recognizes Pocky Day? It’s Kifumi of BORN! He actually tweeted about it♪
So, have any of you received or given any pocky? Big Ern here received a whole bunch of pocky!!! I think I have enough to last me the whole year!
Have you guys missed me? I have been in an Alien mood. I watched Alien and Species movies all weekend! I started to really like the art of H.R. Giger! You know who else was a fan of the artist? hide – he even had Screaming Mad George create a mask based on H.R. Giger’s WATCHGUARDIAN V sculpture for his cover art for Hide Your Face!!!
For those who don’t know, Scream Mad George (real name Joji Tani) is a very famous make up and FX artist who has worked in many famous horror flicks including Predator and Faust Poster. He also fronted the deathmetal band: The Mad. Amazing work! If you could have something designed by your idol – what would it be?
It’s Big Ern again, how are you today? Have you guys ever got “birthday presents” from your favorite bands, like a concert or new release same day? Hope you have, like Ryohei from EAT YOU ALIVE. He shared his happiness on Twitter;
So what about you? Tell us!
Collabration project between visual kei and fashion/jewellery brands are quite common actually, but today I’m going to present one that actually is quite interesting. Peace Now has worked with many visual artists – even 仙台貨物 (Sendai Kamotsu)! The design of the shirts even includes also Hello Kitty.
What you think about the shirts – cute or creepy?
I’m so impatient about this, I want to post it at least as a random fact until there’s more information to post it as a real news post >.<
ex-Dolly Yuina has a new band! And guess with who!
Tsukasa of ex-Bis and Yuuta of ex-Megamasso!!
Their name is World Wrap Word and they will start official band activities in 2012. by being a side act to DAMIJAW on their live on 10th of March, which is a part od DAMIJAW’s “Be with You!!!!!” tour around Japan!
World Wrap Word formed in September, but as I mentioned, they won’t be doing any activities until next year.
Are some of you as excited as I am?

Today I’m sharing this quite old but sweet Tweet from テロ (Tero, ex-Vidoll):
Big Ern prefers carrots, but what about you guys?
Today’s random fact is about 8 of VOICE and his funny, yet very touching blog post about his favorite anime. Apparently his favorite anime is Cooking Papa, a series that ran from 1992 to 1995, so as he is obviously not able to follow it on TV anymore, 8 uses youtube to watch it. But it seems that all the episodes were deleted from youtube and it deeply hurt him. This part of his blog post is so sad and touching, yet so funny for some reason.
I can’t live anymore
8′s amusement snatched away
If something that means as much to you was suddenly taken away, how would you react? Would your words be similar to 8′s?
Also, do you know other jrockers who are as addicted to an anime series as 8 is?
Though we may regard our precious rockers very highly, in reality, they’re just like us and do things we do! For example, they play social games too. A particularly popular social browser game in Japan is Pigg.
So tell me, do any of you have a Pigg? Have you met one of your favorite rockers yet?
So guess which one of our lovely rockers owns an Olympus Pen E-P1 camera like this?!
Yup, Intetsu of AYABIE has a camera just like this, and if you take a look at the pictures he puts up on his twitter, you can tell that he enjoys using his camera very, very, very much! His photography is pretty good too!
It’s interesting to learn of our j-rocker’s hobbies. Know any other rockers who are interested in photography? Or are you yourself interested in it?
Personally, being the pimp I am, I prefer having cameras pointed at me rather then pointing the camera myself!
As we have noticed, there is many j-rockers with other talents too than their instruments. This time we got 剣 (Tsurugi) from Sadie, who turned out to be a good painter! Do you like the following tribal tattoo pictures he has designed?
You can view the original entry on Tsurugi’s blog by clicking pictures.
So, who’s gonna design a Big Ern tattoo for us?
Let’s talk about pets today. While back Adrienne told about Signal’s second release, and Ernie went check their blogs – bassist SHION surely had something interesting there!
Would you like these as your pets too?
In one entry SHION said that he got total of 6 beetles, but sadly one of them died soon after that.
Do you guys know other j-rockers who got beetles as pets?
Today’s fact is about ZORO! Do you remember when Mija wrote about their comeback live? It is successfully over, but do you want to know who were the support members?
Teruki (An Cafe) and Ketch (ex-KYOKUTOU GIRL FRIEND)!
They are still searching for new members or supports, so unfortunately it seems that these two won’t join the band officially.
Anyway – ZORO also has released new single 「POLICE」 during our hiatus, and here is official preview of the PV.
Do you like it?
