StereoPony to perform at Sakuracon 2012

Sakuracon 2012 has just revealed that their musical guest for 2012 is going to be the all female Rock band, StereoPony.
The band consists of AIMI (Vocals/Guitar), NAOHANA (Bass), and SHIHO (Drums).
They have done openings to many popular animes, such as Bleach and Gundam 00.
This will be their first time at Sakuracon 2012.

Dir en grey’s Tour Canceled

According to the Showbox at the Market’s twitter, the entire Dir en grey tour starting in March of 2012 has been canceled.

@DIRENGREY_web has regretfully cancelled their tour, including the 3/7 date@showboxsea. A formal statement will be released shortly.”
Nothing has been posted on the Dir en grey twitter or facebook as of yet, but we will keep you updated.

A few day ago, we mentioned that LM.C will be going on a world tour, and releasing a new album in April .
A few new details about the album have been released, and they’re up for pre-ordering on Brand-x.jp. Once again, the album is out on April 4th, and is titled “STRONG POP”. It will be released in three types.

LM.C New Single, Album, And World Tour

First off, they’ll be releasing a new single titled 「Ah Hah!」on 2012.2.22. It will come in three types. Type A+B, both costing ￥1700, will contain the title tracks, while type A will contain a PV and type B will contain clips from their 2012.1.8 Budokan live. Type C will be CD-only and cost ￥1000

Also, they have announced that they will be releasing an album, titled 「STRONG POP」on 2012.4.4! No other details have been announced.

D returning to America

D will be making their way back to America but this time they will perform at PMX! This will be D’s first performance at PMX and will actually be performing twice through out the weekend!
D will be live and in concert at Pacific Music Live 11 on Friday, Nov. 11 and Saturday, Nov. 12. D will be attending a focus panel, autograph session and more throughout PMX11.
D will be performing two concerts at PMX. Part I will be on Friday night and Part II will be on Saturday night. Each night will have a different set list featuring hits from throughout the band’s history.
PMX will take place on November 11th – 13th at the Hilton Los Angeles Airport.

cali≠gari, who have not been active in the recent months, have had a special 2-days live last weekend. After the concert on the 19th the band has had a special announcement, regarding their future activities. They are not only going to release a new single, but also will go on a country-wide tour! Oh, and they will have a first live outside Japan – in Taiwan!
First of all, they’re going to release a new single this summer entitled 「♯」. More details about it to come soon.
To commemorate the release they’ll hold a tour called 「GIVES」and the dates are as follows:

By the way, has anyone been to the lives on the weekend? I have been lucky to go on Sunday and have heard the announcement first hand. They have not said that in person, they played a special “parody” video imitating a press conference run by Onan Spelmermaid. It was totally hilarious, I wish you all could have seen this!

Babel Entertainment bought over D and BLOOD STAIN CHILD for A-KON and they did a review of the weekend on their live radio stream and for those lucky listeners they announced another band for Oni-con!
Its Otokage! Along with Lemon Drop Kick and Earthbound Papas. Seems like its going to be an epic weekend in Galveston Texas! Thats right – Oni-con (which is usually hosted in Houston) will be in Galveston Texas on October 28th-30th! Who is going? Otokage are one of the most random and fun groups out there!

The two DJs have been busy and now are returning to America for two different cons. First lets talk about DJ Takuya Angel – he will be returning to NekoCon not only DJ but he is also hosting a fashion show of his designs.
