Yuki, shi-no

Thanks to a tip from Lenore, it’s been brought to our attention that on May 25th, Yuki of rice fame and shi-no from Gram∞Maria will be meeting fans in Poland! The two are off to vacation in Europe, and while they’re there, they’ll be hosting a karaoke and meet in Warsaw. The venue is pub Boom Boom Boom and the event is set to begin at 8 pm. Kaya and Moon Stream to attend Anime Expo

Kaya and Moon Stream to attend Anime Expo

Rumors were circulating throughout April following an information leak via the band CELL, over who would be attending Anime Expo –Overnight, that speculation was overshadowed upon the revelation of just who would be attending. It’s been announced  that both Kaya and Moon Stream will be performing as Guests of Honor!

animex
Both Kaya and Moon Stream will be gearing up to attend America’s largest animation convention, on July 4th through 7th, their performances being scheduled for Friday the 5th. Like always, it’ll take place at the Los Angeles Convention Center in downtown Los Angeles, California. This will be Kaya’s first overseas performance since 2012, and Moon Stream’s since their attendance of PMX last November. You’ll be able to see them in the Main Events hall!

Pre-registration for the convention has been going on since the beginning of the year, and various packages are available. For a four day pass, it’ll cost you $65, and a two day ticket will run $55. One-day and exhibit hall only passes will become available on June first. Also on that date, the prices for tickets will increase, so pre-register now! An additional ticket may be required to attend the concert, so we’ll keep you updated if anything changes.

After not having a major rock guest last year, this will certainly make up for it! Are any of our readers planning on attending the convention? Before you let us know, check out Kaya’s comment video for the convention!

As a final note, we are still under the definite impression that CELL will be in attendance at the convention, though not confirmed by the convention staff as of yet. But the band are making sure that fans are aware that they will be attending, even printing it out on their most recent flyers! In any case, this will be their first overseas appearance together. Are you looking forward to seeing them as well?

CELL to Play Anime Expo?!

CELL to Play Anime Expo?!

CELL

Just after wrapping up their first one-man as their alter-ego, Chi to Houtai, CELL has some pretty exciting news for fans — though it doesn’t seem to be coming through official channels just yet. However, guitarist SIN, who started his own Facebook account last week, has been dangling some pretty hefty teasers at his followers:

April 14th
Good work at the April 13th “Chi to Houtai” independent live ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ
And in July
CELL has a live in L.A!!

April 16th
I’m looking forward to Anime Expo in L.A in July~♪( ´▽`)

There are no other mentions of an appearance on members’ blogs, Twitters, or official channels such as the OHP, mobile portal, or even Anime Expo’s website. However, we’re keeping our fingers crossed that SIN’s not just pulling our legs.
If not, this will be CELL’s first overseas appearance.

Pioneering Visual Rock Band SILVER ASH is Back!

Pioneering Visual Rock Band SILVER ASH is Back!

China’s first visual rock band are making a full-scale comeback this year, starting with their international debut single, “Pretty but Evil,” digitally released January 4, 2013. A rewritten English version of the single will be released this March, followed by a Japanese version. Silver Ash intends to become a fully international band, offering songs in English, Chinese, and Japanese, with big goals of conquering stages all around the globe.

silver ash
Formed in the year 2000 in Beijing, China, Silver Ash pioneered China’s rock industry as China’s first visual rock band.  With their unique sound and image inspired by Japanese visual kei, Silver Ash quickly gained an impressive following in Asia and broke release records that were previously unthought of in China.

Unfortunately they were stopped in their tracks in 2003 when extreme censorship by the Chinese government led to stalled record sales, cancellation US Tours, music festivals, and even music video play. But Silver Ash would not be defeated– until now they’ve performed in China as the guest of honor for Japanese rock bands La’Cryma Christi, Rice, and Gram∞Maria, and intend to keep moving forward on the international stage throughout this year.

You can find “Pretty but Evil” on Bandcamp at http://silverash.bandcamp.com

More information on Silver Ash can be found at http://www.silverashofficial.com

THE MICRO HEAD 4N’S Cancels Three Shows

THE MICRO HEAD 4N'S Cancels Three Shows

In November, we briefly mentioned that THE MICRO HEAD 4N’S would be touring Europe this February! Well, it appears there’s some bad news for fans. No, the tour hasn’t been completely called off, but three shows have been cancelled.

the micro head 4ns
The following message was left on their webpage and their official Facebook in English.

Important news for The Micro Head 4n’s’ fans,

Due to the really low sales of tickets for a few dates of the upcoming tour, we didn’t had any other choice than to cancel the 3 last shows of the tour.
The shows of MILAN, LONDON and PARIS are CANCELLED.

The whole tour could have been cancelled, but we think that it would have been unfair for the numerous fans in the other countries, who would have been penalized.
Plus the band really wants to meet their fans all over the world, so we are counting on you to welcome and support them the best you can.

For any informations about the reimbursement of tickets, please contact :info@torpedo-productions.com

Thank you for your understanding,
B7KLAN,

Currently, there are seven stops on their tour, so you’ll still be able to see them in several countries! The current lineup for the latest leg of their tour「THE WORLD of LIGHTS 2013」 can be seen here, as we haven’t mentioned it before.

02.16 Moscow, Russia @ Milk
02.17 Helsinki, Finland @ Gloria
02.19 Hamburg, Germany @ Logo
02.22 Berlin, Germany @ Crystal Club
02.23 Wroclaw, Poland @ Firlej

The GazettE in Russia

The GazettE in Russia

the GazettE

Participation in Russia’s greatest domestic rock festival, “KUBANA Festival,” with gatherings of about 15,000 people, has been decided!

Twitter blew up this afternoon when this message was posted regarding the GazettE’s first overseas appearance since 2007 and their first performance ever in Russia. Launched in 2009, the KUBANA festival has showcased some renowned international acts across the spectrum of rock music. Last year, Miyavi participated among a crowd of top-selling artists.
The 2013 lineup is quite robust as well. Take a look for yourself:

System of a Down (USA)
Guano Apes (Germany)
Enter Shikari (UK)
Ska-P (Spain)
Scooter (Germany)
Misfits (USA)
The Subways (UK)
the GazettE (Japan)
Bullet For My Valentine (UK)
Pennywise (USA)
Skillet (USA)
Flogging Molly (USA)
Die Artze (Germany)
Skindred (UK)
Electric Six (USA)
Banda Bassotti (Italy)
Streetlight Manifesto (USA)
Tokyo Ska Paradise Orchestra (Japan)

It’s a pretty knockout lineup and it sounds like the GazettE will fit right in!
The event takes place August 1-7, 2013, but it doesn’t seem like a schedule has been released yet.

KUBANA will be held in Anapa, a small city on the coast of the Black Sea — in the southwest part of the country. (For the curious, there’s a Google Map embedded on the festival’s OHP.)
The tickets are not yet on sale, either, but details are available:

AMIGO Pass – 8000RUB ($266 USD / €196 EU)
7-day event pass.

VIVA Pass – 9000RUB ($300 USD / €220 EU)
7-day pass plus camping services (tent plot, showers, campsite entry).

LIBRE Pass – 12000RUB ($400 USD / €294 EU)
7-day pass plus camping services, plus separate entry area for concert zones, access to stage-view restaurants, and VIP camping service.

Parking ticket – 3000RUB ($100 USD / €73 EU)
7-day in-out parking privileges.

The KUBANA website mentions that the band has had numerous overseas offers recently, and with hints dropped from the band itself over the past couple of months, this may just be the tip of the iceberg. We’ll keep on the lookout for overseas dates!
